I think there doing the g1 movie in studio to give us a break from the micheal bay designs, and to give their designer some time to figure out what the hell to do with the left over designs from those movies. and come on you can’t say that the hot rod from the 86SS is not the best toy version of Hot rod we have gotten it out classes the official masterpiece! And yes in get it we are getting a g1 overload but it will pass and you have got to agree that these are some of the best main line figures we have gotten in years

@@DrLockdown I suppose that’s fair. While not a massive fan, I do think some of the bay designs are really cool. A bit silly, but cool. And while SS86 is fine on its own, I don’t think it will be smart to make it all G1 as that’ll probably piss off a lot of movie fans.

I just had the biggest grin on my face the moment Sky Lynx was made number 1 on this list because I couldn't agree more. I got him as a gift for getting my degrees in college and my god is he incredible! Despite the lackluster base mode, everything about him is so good. A sturdy figure with lots of nice sculpted and painted details, a fantastic shuttle mode, and the most fun I've had with a figure like this in a while. As the first Commander class figure I got (missed out on Siege Jetfire because no money at that time), Sky Lynx is just incredible.

One of the gems of my collection is the original Car Robots “Fire Convoy” version of RiD Optimus. All the fun features of the American release with the added bonus that he yells in Japanese.

So happy that rid prime made it on the list.

I don't know if he ships overseas, but there's a guy on EBay who 3D prints upgrades for Siege/Earthrise Soundwave and G2 Selects Megatron. Fills in the forearms for the Soundwaves with a panel that opens to allow the hands to fold back up, and a shoulder bit you can add to Megatron so he does the shoulder canon. Just figured I'd throw it out there, excellent video as always!

My wife got me Earthrise Skylynx for our anniversary last year. I love it. Great video man! I’d love to hear a bit more about some of these 3rd party companies. I’m interested to see what else is out there. And hey, be nice to Earthrise Wheeljack.

Those Seekers look great. I always feel tempted to get one but I don't think I care for the tetra jet alt mode. I love how often you show vtubers in your videos. It's not something I see outside actual vtuber content. Artemis too? Based. 11:09 Is that a Shockwave that transforms into a car? That looks great! I know this is an old video but it's great to see you got so many figures you enjoy. Just a few days ago I found Kingdom Cyclonus in a manga/comic store and nearly lost my mind. After so many reviews showing us how HasTak were able to use black magic to do his engineering I knew I had to get him. Just got him out of his box today and even just doing a little posing he's amazing.

I don't know why it just hit me now, but after yet again rewatching this list, I finally have a better explanation why I prefer darker metallic gray for Megatron for anything bright, accuracy be damned: He may not be a gun anymore, but at least he's GUNmetal

One figure I always love is Power Core Combiners Sledge, just the design, the minicon, the giant saw blade torso, and his combined mode head looks amazing. I would KILL to have a more modern figure of him to work with say the combiner wars line or even 3rd party.

Mandarake was my primary source of Transformers and other figures throughout the pandemic. Mileage may vary due to fluctuating currency conversion rates.

10:27 there is a waist swivel its just very very very tight and gets hindered by the legs, but still its better than nothing (EARTHRISE STARSCREAM)

I always liked RID Optimus and I would love to own a version myself one day.

It's good to see Maketoys Cupola get a mention. He is a great figure. I've never worried about him trying to fit in with other MP figures. I've got two Titans return Chromedomes to go with him (so one could have dual blasters and one in alt mode). I even want to get the new hasbro re-release chromedome for the G1 head.

Looking back at this, NA seeker mold definitely was worth buying. Love my starscream. Honestly I wager that mold would work well if it were upscaled to chug or mp size too. The engineering on it is ironclad.

I don't think it would work. Upscaling legends often leads to wonky proportions. They're tailor made for the small scale

It's not out yet. We don't even have plastic photos; just renders. I reckon it'll be out in the second half of 2021.

Blitwing actually does have rotation at the waist. It is very tight, but it's there.

Soul of Chogokin Voltron might have the better ab crunch, from what I’ve seen in Jobby’s review

Yeah I’m going to be honest, I’ve had enough of G1 prime. It’s great the generations legacy is tackling G2 laser prime

I got 2004 cybertron optimus prime finally after wanting him for 5 years just was never able to find one at a affordable price

Ihave to agree about earth rise prime loved it had sucj a nice g1 feel

newage amy is also easily in my top figures this year, its pretty much perfect.

I love that Earthrise Sky Lynx is number 1. After all his shuttle name is Magnificence. He really is truly magnificent. I wish I win him but I do own Siege Jetfire. Siege Jetfire is an amazing figure in my mind.

hey uh the chapters of the video are kind of messed up, the number 3 chapter takes up the bulk of the honorable mentions as well as the number 3 and 2 segments, the number 17 chapter also takes up the number 16 segment, and the honorable mentions chapter only takes up the nicee mention nothing personal I just thought I would point that out

Yep. The batteries ran out because the eyes must've turned on in the box, but he's still great. Not my fave BB prime, but a damn good one

@@DrLockdown And no doubt those silly batteries those 3PCs use don't make replacing it easy. Though I ask because I've heard reports of people's copies falling apart. And EmGo sort of trashed his, as seen in his MPM-12 review. Which is also a great figure, even better since I've replaced his nya-nya shoulders.

RID Prime! 😍😍😞 I was a wre lad at the time! Took forever to run into one on the shelves. Then when I finally do, naturally I was a little shit (well not a bad kid, just young, and in elementary school) No swaying power yo talk the folks into picking it up. I'm honestly kind of surprised no Ultra Magnus figures were on the list. But then again, thinking on it, UM's figs were never anything groundbreaking or astounding.

So you don't review everything or you take a bloody time to get to it right? I would like to see a positive review on Devastator, it seems that you liked, the options I had seen deem it a bad figure

Oh I love it, but it would take a LOT of work. I do wanna tackle it eventually, but given the work needed to do King Poseidon, I need to work on it concurrent to my other more pressing projects. But I still do plenty of positive reviews, along with the negative ones. I always strive for a balance...it's just that people seem to take more notice when I go full negative.

I'm glad they go the G1 route with the War for Cybertron trilogy and the studio series. I was waiting for years to get all my favorite G1 characters. I think most of the G1 inspired toys released before sucks and don't get me started with Combiner Wars, Titans Returns and Power of the Primes toylines. I think they sucks ass design wise. So far, for me, The War for Cybertron trilogy is the best toyline we got in the 2010s. The characters just look gorgeous.

For someone who grew up with G1, but alas loves everything else, it feels quite the opposite. Everything up until this point feels like 'too much geewun', especially since Combiner Wars. It's felt like a nonstop slog of nothing else, even if the previous toys 'weren't good' to some people. I don't want G1 to go away. I just want variety.

I understand your opinions. I know we already got a solid G1 inspired toyline in the Masterpiece but those toys are way too much expensive. I'm open to some variety but i just want to be able to catch all my favorite G1 characters in a design and rendition i'm satisfied with before laying my eyes on something new. And as of now i'm quite satisfied by the War for Cybertron trilogy toyline. I'm also a big fan of Beast Wars and i'm glad they decided to redo those characters.

Debatable, with a cube that slots into the entire torso of Superion. I've got no qualms against combiner partsforming most of the time, but that's too much. If their smaller one is Legends scale though, I might bite.

Personally I hate Ss-65 Blitzwing, I'm a major Aviation enthusiast, and I love the Phantom, so when I first heard we were getting a voyager verson in the ss line I was hyped, until I saw that jet mode, that jet mode is one of the worst things I've seen come out of generations, amd by far is the worst studio series alt mode, he went from being such a distinctive, slim, iconic jet, to a wide body fighter with terrible proportions, terrible kibble and it isn't even based on anything. Not like the robot mode even made up for it. Extremely lanky, the chest issue, and again the proportions look terrible. One of the worst studio series figures in my opinion
