Natalie Portman deserves more than just an honorable mention her 2006 episode was one of the funniest of the century. Betty White was robbed as well

adam driver always steals the show in all of the skits. he’s definitely the number one for me.

Same! he surprised the hell out of me.. I'm a huge star wars fan and only seen him in that and snl opened my eyes of how amazing he is..

I think it should be tradition for Dave Chappelle to host after every presidential election.

I could listen to him talk all day. He's comparable to George Carlin to me. Speaks what he feels and doesn't hold back.

@@therealmagicpant Yeah, I agree. Same with Bill Burr. Comedians are best when they don't succumb to political correctness. The best comedy is the stuff that's a bit dark when you really think about it, but on a surface level is just absolutely hilarious.

I kind of feel it’s a bit unfair to include former cast members in this list since they would be familiar and comfortable with the way the show operates.

I'm just gonna say Tina Fey is forever one of my favourite people on SNL. She was a great writer, she did awesome sketches(the weekend updates with her and Amy Poheler were the best). And when she came back as a host she was still super awesome at it.

The best Melissa McCarthy skit is the one where she plays Michael Che’s step mom on weekend update. Makes me laugh every time 😂

Eddie Murphy, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Steve Martin, Dave Chappelle, Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Maya Rudolph, Paul Rudd, Emma Stone, Will Ferrell, Melissa McCarthy, Dwayne Johnson and other celebrities did a very good job as SNL hosts.

The best SNL host of the century is Tom Hanks because he is very cool and a friendly actor and he did many jokes in the show and i like when he acting David S.Pumpkins in Halloween in the Haunted Elevator

David Pumpkins showed an almost-"Philadelphia"-level commitment to a role.

Bill is way too low! He needs to be way higher up! Still, I almost cried when they said his name. I love that man so much

I agree with most of the choices, but Jon Hamm definitely needs to be here. He's been fantastic all 3 times he's hosted.

Man....they were all amazing...so many laughs just seeing the picks and instantly remembering their iconic skits...so good....Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Harry Styles should've been on this list too somehow.

Ryan Gosling #19???? No freaking way!!!! Close encounters is one of the all time greats

Steve Martin is the epitome of the term "has hosted so many times you could mistake him as a cast member"

When I heard that Adam Driver was hosting I almost didn't watch it I almost screwed up big time for me he's the biggest surprisingly good host ever he's now one of my favorites of all time

paul rudd was easily the best host. his rendition of ode to tracking #'s is the best sketch ever

I loved the Pizza Eater! I think PJ doesn't fit in, Arlene, and the Ranch Dressing sketches were also great. It's almost impossible to find a bad sketch she has been in.

Norm MacDonald should be on that list just for his first time hosting after he got fired monologue. Other than that basically I would maybe put a couple people in different places but they would all be on the list. Good job.

Not even an HM for the Sandman? That was one of the best SNLs in recent memory and his Chris Farley song was something special.

These were the BEST hosts! I loved each & every one of them…..its so hard to put just one as my favorite! I would have thought Steve martin as the best…but omg… Adam Baldwin, Dave chapelle….my homeboy Justin, Drew, Kristen, …..they all made my day!! Thank you for sharing!

There should be a surprisingly good hosts catagory, I'd put Harry Styles and Chance the Rapper on it. I almost didn't watch those episodes because I thought they'd be terrible.

I go back every now then to watchThe Donald Glover/Childish Gambino episode he was hilarious. I looked the video up just to see if he made the list. The Jurassic Park lawyer skit makes me laugh regardless how many times I watch it.

goslings Papayrus skit makes me laugh every single time . I love the Santa one too

This was a good episode, just needed a little more Cowbell.

I never watched the whole episode, but I feel like Margot Robbie's role in the Librarian sketch should at least earn her an honourable mention.

Tom Hanks is an idol of mine. I didn't really have a dad growing up so.... Tom Hanks was who I looked up to. Always a kind person in movies... Santa.... I mean he is all I had as a dad figure which is probably why I didn't end up more fucked up.
