John Stocton. Record for most steals. Record for most assists. 10X All Star. 2 Olympic Gold Medals. You didn't need to pick between Stockton and Malone. They should both be on this list.

No disrespect to Don Mattingly (who isn’t in the HOF), but there are many more deserving baseball players, such as Gwynn, Carew, Killebrew, Fergie Jenkins, Ichiro Suzuki, Sandberg, Marichal. These guys are HOFers. I wonder why Jim Kelly was picked over Bruce Smith, who is arguably one of the top-five DEs in NFL history. Agreed with the suggestions that Randy Moss and Terrell Owens should be on this list. Jarome Iginla was the first hockey player to pop into my head.

@@mudshark1154 Lundqvist has the best record in game 7s, 6-2. He had at least 30 wins in 11 of his first 12 seasons. He was a 5 time Vezina finalist. This is the definition of consistency. Not his fault that the team never helped him out. He kept them in every game. When the rangers beat the Canadiens, the clinching game was 1-0 and Dominic Moore scored the only goal. The “big guns” would always disappear. Fleury was great and they are both top 10 goalies, but fleury heavily benefited from being on those stacked Penguins teams. Lundqvist never had teams like that.

I think it is less about who deserved to win a championship and more about the fact that in the NFL QB's greatness is judged by how many rings they do or do not have yet that is judging a single player by an entire team's effort. So a lot of QBs have been left out of the conversation because they did not have the team to get to the game and win or on the flip side, some QBs who are perhaps not as great do have rings on their fingers because they were on a championship team. The Super Bowl is a team award and rings are given to the players on the team for winning the game not just the QB; it's not a valid way to judge QB play.
