Serban how exactly would one present an architect? painter? you give their origin because Serban art is influenced by culture, therefore, in presentation of an architect it is critical to state their national origin "Spainish architect named Gaudi" or "American Franklin Lloyd Wright born in Wisconsin" yes Serban one must absolutely name the "state of origin" of the artists which also includes writers. Any architect, artist, or writer would expect their "state of origin" announced their work is influenced by it. Did you overlook, ignore, or plug your ears to how the narrator announced the "State of origin" of all the artists and architects that built these houses? EXPECTED and OFFENSIVE if not stated.

Any house to call home is always better than not having a stable roof over your head at all! This narrator, if you ask me that is, really came off as ignorant and disrespectful in this video! Weather he intended to be rude or not is beside the point cuz a grown adult knows right from wrong, period! There is no excuse for anyone to be rude and ignorant towards a person, no matter where or what house they live in! 🤦🤦😒😑🙄😞

why do you keep putting them all down for? ''while its great that it exists, would your eally want something like this [fusterlandia] down the street from where *you* lived?'' heck yeah, its nice n colourful, and would make you smile everytime you saw it. ''no matter the artistic creativity, and ability on display, its still, at its core, just a house covered in beer cans'' thats like saying the Mona Lisa is just a piece of paper with paint on it?! at least its better than the rest of the boring houses. ''when it comes down to it, this house [seashell house] is more style than substance'' erm no, its style gives it its substance, and the people living there will probably makes some amazing memories there, if thats not substance i don't know what is. ''...if your one of the neighbours to this place [destiny lofts] you might well wish they weren't so sturdily constructed'' what?! are you nuts, those things looks awesome, the colour scheme alone is enough to make you smile when you see it. i'd live in one, let alone be a neighbour ''no matter how you look at it, this surely is a [hobbit] house that only has a place on a film set'' why? it looks cozy as hell, it looks better than the square pieces of boring most of us live in. ''you can't help but look at it [transparent house] and think how silly it is'' no way, if the people really wanted privacy, they wouldn't live in see through house, and if they want privacy now and again, all they have to do iis put a curtain up or too, but they haven't. and its not silly, if anything it probably brings them closer together socially, its better than everyone being in twelves separate rooms from each other and only seeing each other at meal times. its not silly, its unusually interesting, but not silly. ''no matter how amazing it might be, its also incredibly silly'' not really, he's got a better view than most people in the world, and not only that, but from the ground, it blends in with the skinny tall trees. variety is the spice of life, so if anything this video should have been called ''world's spiciest houses'' without 'ART' the 'eARTh' would just be 'eh'

The first one I guess is Dick Clark's, not sure but the second one with the purple and burnt orange colors is not located in Malibu. It's located in San Mateo County, California. You can see it driving North on Highway 280 just as you cross over the 92 bridge. For years the home was white and had traditional landscaping. Too bad the transparent home didn't use glass you can see out of but you can't see in. That would ensure privacy. Otherwise, these homeowners never need to give out directions to their house. They just say, "I live in the Flintstone House" or "the house w/the shark crashing through", lol!

This guy who made this compilation should have kept his mouth shut and only said look at these cool artistic homes. I've never disagreed or been so offended hearing a video like this, I totally don't agree with his opinion, these houses are awesome, unique and joyful and aside from the beer can, see through and toilet houses without editing, I would feel lucky to live in any of them and be good humored about it. Art is an expression of self. It's like he's degrading people who created this, live here or appreciate it in any way. I hate when people just stick to the status quo and just ridicule those who are different or unique.

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know, you need to go back and edit the segment on the Flintstones house. You have shown 2 different houses. The exterior you have shown is actually a house that is just outside of San Francisco, not Malibu, which is in Southern California. Thanks for taking the time to make the information accurate

@@jlvking there's no ocean view from the "Flintstones" house near San Francisco. It's easy to see as you drive north towards San Francisco on hwy 280. That place has been there for almost 60 years that I know of. The current owner installed the dinosaur statues and the neighbors are having fits and filing lawsuits. If they didn't want to live near a landmark they should have hired a better realtor.

Reminds me of gimmicky 1930's roadside architecture, where a coffee shop looked like a coffee pot, a gas station looked like an airplane, a hot dog stand in the shape of a dog, etc. The first upside-down house - you mean they felt the need to build more of these? Dick Clark - "So I can't get permission to build a traditional style house? Get ready for the Flintstones! In your face Malibu!

Why such a negative view of such creative and beautiful art? I hate the blandness and safeness of most conventional homes; people afraid to step outside of the ordinary. More power to these artists, though I would never be able to even venture into the upside house with my perceptual sensitivity.

The discussion of the Flintstones house conflates two different structures in two different places. I have never seen Dick Clark’s Malibu structure, but the orange and purple domes with the dinosaurs in the yard are not in Malibu. They are in San Mateo County, about 20 minutes south of San Francisco and visible from interstate 280. The video switches back-and-forth between this house and the Malibu structure as if they are the same location. They are not! They are hundreds of miles apart!
