This video we are ranked top 15 states with Lowest GDP.Maharashtra has highest GSDP among 33 Indian States and Union Territories. As of year 2016-17, Maharashtra contributes 14.11% of total India's GDP at current prices followed by Tamil Nadu (8.55%). India's most populous state Uttar Pradesh is at 3rd position with share of 8.05%. Other states in top 5 are : Karnataka (7.90%) and Gujarat (7.69%).
India's largest states Rajasthan is at number 7, poorest state Bihar is at number 14 and capital Delhi is at number 12. Newly created state Telangana is at 9th position just below Andhra Pradesh.
Top 5 states shares 46.3% in India's total economy. Five states of South India together account for 29.69%. Eight states of North-East India share 2.8%.
A. & N. Islands has lowest GSDP in the list of 33 states/UTs. Next Inline come Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and Manipur.
