I first came to Eureka Springs when I was 15. That was 50 years ago and I just bought a home on Holiday Island to retire. It's lively and the people are all so welcoming and unique !
Great video but how could you miss the Crescent Springs hotel! It's haunted and they give tours and it's also fun to stay there

@@joshwalkerfunnylife1666 there is SO MUCH! start with just driving around and checking out the scenery, the shop, and bars... then find a place to park and walk. Breakfast at either the Mud Cafe or Local Flavor and dinner at the Grotto or the Rogue. Nelsons is a great shop... and there are many more. YOu will find your way, there is too much to tell. But maybe these tips will help you... Let me know how you like it! OH and I forgot about all the antique-y type shops! those are fun! The best part of Eureka is EXPLORING and that never gets old no matter how many times you have been there. My dad took the family there starting in the 50s when I was just a baby and we have loved it - my children and I - ever sense. Enjoy!

I’ve been going to Eureka Springs several times a year for over a decade. I’ve camped at Lake Leatherwood and stayed at The Basin Hotel as well as many cute cottages both downtown and just outside of town. I love the downtown area with all the shops. My favorite event has been the St Pats parade.

FYI to all visitors: Cosmic Cavern is not at Eureka Springs. It is North of Berryville, the next town to the East. I do recommend checking out the cave for an experience you will never forget. Also, War Eagle Cavern is no where near Eureka Springs. It is several miles away. I've never been to it, just past it. Beaver lake is not at Eureka Springs, either. But, you can get to War Eagle from there. These are all great places to visit. Happy venturing in North West Arkansas.

Agreed, this town is 95% national historic, but is NOT handicap friendly by any means; loads of walking, and cobblestones downtown... as a former resident, I can no longer visit friends which is sad
Since 2006 we been riding around Eureka Springs, excellent area for riding your motorcycle!! Wish Oklahoman had these roads for riding your motorcycle. Oklahoma has too many pot holes and tar snakes for my liking. Eureka Springs is biker friendly town. Good selection of restaurants & hotel, motel etc.
The train does not "take you around Eureka Springs". It goes for a short jaunt down the track and then back to the station. My family's lake place is right over the border in Missouri. We've been going for 30+ years. There is also a winery close by called Railway Winery to check out.

Everything does shut down for about 4 months every year (the exception is the Crescent hotel Christmas affair which requires buying tickets a few months in advance); it is a Tourist town that I used to live in, but it does start everything up again by April... the weather can affect areas as the roads are steep & many houses are built into the cliff rocks. If you have driven there you will understand why things shut down during Winter

The devil has his grip on this small town, full of California and Oregon libtards that are making it like where they came from. Feelings and emotions are more important than constitutional rights or laws anymore. Public Drag shows seemingly monthly with kids involved and encouraged to watch/ participate.. it's sad. Not to mention if you aren't fitting with their interests, they won't let you do business there. Look up the case of Keeling Grub.
What a farce of a biased video. No mention of the Crescent Hotel. Very little mention of the Passion Play, no mention of the Holy Land tours you can take and the Christ of the Ozarks statue seemed to be mentioned as a mere afterthought. Not one word said about the Thorncrown Chapel, which is a marvel of architect in itself. How about something to be said for the Church you enter by going down through the steeple? Video was crap.

@@ecm8948 Thank you for your comment, I’ve lived in Eureka since 1978, when I moved here half of the town was burned out & most of the buildings where the shops are were boarded up & the flatiron building wasn’t there or rebuilt yet, boy, I used to live at Chelsea’s, lol, but when I moved here in ‘78, Chelsea’s was just a single building & a private residence. New Delhi was a storage shed at the time, & just a single small building, I hung out at the Hi-Hat (bar) which is now Nelson’s leather company. I remember all the things you mentioned. I just vented my opinion because I hate it when tourists come here for a couple of days & think they know all there is to know about Eureka & then go & spread bullshit about the town!
