yes, you are right Annie! it is so nice visual novels receiving new in-game elements , allowing the entangle with other games genres such as RPG, resource managers and strategy! upon all of that, adding an excellent story, adult content and relationship trees make it all better!

Subverse is definitely my favorite of them, I was a backer for it and very happy with the results so far. But I already own all but the free one, needless to say I'm a fan of this form of adult content.

When Subverse first went into early access, you couldn't even 3 strikes the bullet hell. I couldn't even get to the first scene. Once they added that, I've loved it.

Kamidori Alchemy Meister was a lot of fun with what I consider well written characters and enjoyable combat.

Really wish the Dragon Knight series would get a re-release. For many in the west, Dragon Knight III ("Knights of Xentar") was their first exposure to adult tactical JRPGs. Dragon Knight IV was probably the greatest fantasy tactical combat eroge in terms of story, character variety and gameplay mechanics.

Utawareromono is also a stragey game with a visual novel base. Though it is old, I think it came out in the early 2000s Also love your channel

It has never been officially released outside of Japan. DLsite has it in Japanese only, but it has the soft-denchi DRM.

That Suzukuri dungeon game seems interesting. Might check it out!

I am a big fan of all forms of strategy games like Starcraft Broodwar, Starcraft 2, Fire emblem and Heroes of Might and Magic, etc. Sengoku Rance and other titles like it is a nice novelty, but it's a shame they are few and far between in the Adult game space.

I think there is a growing market for it that western developers may be unaware of.

This is kind of hard to call. I greatly enjoyed Venusblood International, am very appreciative and nostalgic for old Koei style games like Sengoku Rance, and Suzukuri Dungeon (and the many other similar style games) greatly appeal to me. However I have a preference for the tactical style combat of games like Subverse. Really wish there were more good adult games in the genre, I could use some Front Mission or heck, x-com style adult games. CoH or DoW2. Alright I better stop before I get completely carried away.

Hello. Your vids are quite informative and fun to watch, but the only thing I could ask about is to add time codes next time, I watch on x2 and not native English speaker, so it is hard to grasp on correct name of the game without replay sometimes. Thanks for making content like that I hope good half of it is not demonetized because of youtube content politics.

No Utawarerumono? I loved that Strategy RPG game, an oldie but I loved the story and totally forgot it was supposed to be an H-game (which the PS2 version removed of course and put a new scene where Hakuoro was hugging Eruru). Eiya Senki, the artwork I recognize, think the artist is Oyari

Yes old companies might unwilling or even unfitted to offer what a growing set of fringe consumers want in their games. Sex in games is still a fringe theme market wise. But New Companies will certainly be able to accomplish what the Old Ones couldn't. Any Fringe is after all just tomorrow's Pop.

I really like Daibanchou: Big Bang Age, though i am not sure if there is an official english release of it. The fan translation is excellent though

I'd probably have put Third Crisis on the list because I really love the combat in that game personally Also what games would you recommend for someone who wants something that plays like the later persona games? with both the dungeons and the bond events in it

I admire your facility with Japanese. I studied it for 3 years and since I didn't know anyone else who spoke it I really struggled to retain what I tried to learn. If I hear certain words I know what they mean but after 3 years I am not even close to being able to hold a conversation. I wish I'd started when I was young.

One thing I'll say about Subverse in terms of gameplay; there's really no point to the "deployment" part of the TBS part. if I can't see where the enemies are going to be or what they are, what's the point in letting me deploy in certain areas? they may as well have made it more like fire emblem and have it so that you choose the character and they are deployed to set areas.

When I occasionally do lose a battle it always seems like a deployment issue.

You forgot to mention the only bad thing about Subverse and that is the fact it has a ton if game breaking bugs, like screen getting stuck after going black from loadings scenes, game modes, etc. Tried the game a few month ago, refunded it cause who wants to play a game that will freeze, fade to black or crash every other 30 min / every hour.

Never played Venusblood maybe I will give a shot in the future,suzukuri dungeon F*** DRM,I had to finish Koihime musou someday,Rance is always a blast to play cant wait for 03 and X, I really like Eiyuu Senki kinda sad what happened with their mobile title but looks like they are doing a offline version to at least keep the story,new characters and events alive and Subverse I did give them money in the kickstater but the first version was very broken that I just will wait for the final version.

Finally got around to play a 4 year old game, Valkyria Chronicles 4. Beat the game last week and just enjoy taking my Valkyrias out on a relaxing stroll through fields filled with gunfire and explosions... while wearing bikinis... in winter. EDIT : 5 year old game.

I tried VB Frontier and couldn't finish it. The scenes are really really long and boring. The strategy style combat was really fun at first till I realized it was trying to be super complicated, but was actually really simple. Once I figured out how easy the combat was then I was bored with both aspects of the game. Some of these other games look cool.

I think it is all about the subsequent replays at harder difficulties. The first playthough is to get you used to the mechanics.
