I live in Tokyo. Tokyo is a beautiful and wonderful metropolis, but Osaka has a much older history and an exciting culture. If you are going sightseeing in Japan, I recommend Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, and the Seto Inland Sea.

I agree. Live and work in Japan for 3 years in Kyoto prefecture. Osaka is absolutely amazing and Kyoto and Kobe are not too far behind. Japan is the best country regardless.

I live in Canada, our entire country's population hit 40 million for the entire country, the second largest in the world and we barely have more people than Tokyo, a city. I couldn't imagine living in a city so densely populated.

Yes Tokyo is worlds largest city 🏙️ in terms of urbanisation & population of nearly 40 million people, it’s kind of funny whole Canadian 🇨🇦 population living in just city 😂😂😂 still there’s plenty of green spaces & beautiful parks in Tokyo city area & more in metro urban area.

It all depends on definition of ‘biggest cities in the world by population’. There are three main definitions: 1. Proper City 2. Urban area 3. Metropolitan area In all definitions, Jakarta is in the Top 12, as are Guangzhou and Seoul. In other words, this seems a trivial listing.
