@@blaynegreiner9365 well, it would mostly work for opponents who don't know who are they dealing with, decent fighters almost always do a research on their upcoming matchups. And you cannot afford do this bold move on an MMA fight because you'll get trampled when you missed. And you'll be on every KO videos 😂

Probably not the most “creative” KO, but when Scott Smith took a really hard liver shot (which often end in a KO) from Pete Sell, he doubled over in that kind of pain that only liver shots can cause and everyone thought the match was about to end after a few more punches from Sell. Well, the fight did end a few punches later, but it wasn’t Sell who won, it was Smith. Smith sucked it up, straightened up, and not only delivered a great KO punch, but got on top to rain down some ground & pound! Anyone who’s ever experienced a hard liver punch or kick knows why it puts most people out of the fight, resulting in a TKO. Scott Smith is one tough SOB!! It’s crazy how fast James Vick career was derailed after that trash talk he spewed to Gaethje. My man was undefeated headlining a main event and with one punch Gaethje stole that mans MMA career as well as his soul.

Funny you should say that. I was actually at that fight. Guy who got KO'd was ok a few minutes later. The guy who delivered the kick broke his foot and had to be helped off. Still one of the most brutal things I've seen in person.

@@jmval81 I've heard so many sayings used incorrectly or pronounced incorrectly over the years. Only a few years ago I found out it's "for all intents and purposes" not "intensive purposes" 😭 Also I used to say "roaring boil" instead of "rolling boil"

I’m not sure whether that’s where it originated, but it’s extremely popular in kyokushin karate, if you go to a kyokushin tournament you’ll see a rolling thunder kick attempt in almost every fight. A lot of them land too
