The joke with Belle in the count down is she sings less and less before exploding. In the end she barely sings "There" before the explosion.
You wouldn't have noticed because you kept skipping it, but the transitions with Belle kept getting shorter and shorter as the video went on with the explosion cutting Belle off sooner with each number. It was a really funny detail I wish you would've seen, as it highlights making fun of the bad singing in that movie by giving it less time to be heard.
I missed the days when multiple people reacted to the Nostalgia Critic. I wish there were more of these, and not just Nate alone. It just isn’t as fun.

i felt this too
Kate’s face when Belle blew up the first time was absolutely perfect. 😂
The reason Doug was at his house was because the studio suffered water damage from a storm
i was so mad about what they did to lion king. Aslan from the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe, was done perfectly. They could've just done that or made them look less realistic
This is my idea for fixing the villain in Atlantis. Make him a mirror to Milo. Have him be someone obsessing over the civilization and desperate for validation. Make him like the villain in Up where he goes from discoverer to selfish monster who will stop at nothing to bring back his trophy. Let him be a warning to Milo of someone he could become.

@@jcj268 I know some have said they'd want Tom Holland and Zendaya for Milo and Kida, but I think there are others that could fit Milo better. Like Dylan O'Brien from Maze Runner. Besides, sometimes Tom Holland isn't always the best pick for movies outside of Spider-Man, especially after Uncharted (2022). Don't get me wrong, I love Tom Holland, and his movies aside from Spider-Man have been good too, like The Impossible or The Devil All The Time, or Onward. But yeah, Mark Wahlberg, or let's face it, Nathan Fillion at their current age, had more believability as Nathan Drake than Tom. Also, if they do have the "surprise villain" in an Atlantis remake, make him someone with ties to the ancient civilization, who wants to use the Crystal or *Heart of Atlantis* to rule or destroy the surface world. You know, like Mark Hamill's Muska from Castle in the Sky, who had ties to Laputa, the floating city.

Disney recently re-upped their licensing with Lloyd Alexander's estate for The Chronicles of Prydain as a miniseries for Disney+ There's a guy named Bryan Seeker who does fancast videos for certain movies and series. He even predicted the actress for Katara in the Netflix Avatar reboot. Who he cast for an Atlantis remake are good, especially Clancy Brown as Rourke, Christopher Lloyd as Whitmore, and John Tuttoro as Vinny.

That guy should be a casting agent!
50:12 funny thing is if you pay attention, the explosion comes a little bit faster throughout the video.
38:53 Said it on his video, but, what if he was hired by the guys that ran out on Milo at the start, still have Cookie and the others “betray” Milo and the others as they were spies for him, broadcasting their location so the other team could stalk them, but still have them redeem themselves in the end.
Emma Watson singing sounds like somebody wrote that and speech text and it's really sad that the original voice of Belle did a really good job Emma Watson sounds like a robot when she sing😅
It’s not a Disney film, but picture it, Road to El Dorado. Especially with their musical numbers.
32:42 Then again, the Pinocchio remake kept the "actor's life is gay" line, so they might not have to change it with Three gay Caballeros.
For addendum, Doug is a big fan of Batman: The Animated Series
32:16 lyrics from The Three Caballeros: We're three caballeros Three gay caballeros They say we are birds of a feather lyrics from DuckTales 2017 reboot: We're three caballeros Yes, three caballeros They say we are birds of a feather lyrics from Legend of the Three Caballeros: We're three caballeros Three brave caballeros They say we are birds of a feather Gay = The term originally meant 'carefree', 'cheerful' or 'bright and showy'. The word 'gay' dates back to the 12th century and comes from the Old French 'gai', meaning 'full of joy or mirth.' It may also relate to the Old High German 'gahi', meaning impulsive. i googled it.
@ARCtheCartoonMaster

Funny you mention that, as the Esperanto language has two words derived from the English _gay,_ but the different meanings thereof - _gaja_ meaning “merry/cheerful”, and _geja_ meaning homosexual. The former is based on the English spelling but pronounced “guy-a”, while the latter is based on the English pronunciation.
Nate: Disney will never do a R-rated movie Deadpool: Let’s fix that, shall we? MARVEL STUDIOS’ DEADPOOL III: COMING 2024 Kevin Feige: “It’s amazing. And we’ve got Hugh Jackman coming back for our first Deadpool film within the MCU. That’s our first R-rated film.
Disney's The Black Cauldron was based off of a mashup of the first two books of the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. The first volume was called The Book of Three, and the second volume was The Black Cauldron. Quite a bit of the story was on point, but there is a LOT of stuff missing, including my favorite character, Gwydion. He's the prince of the story that actually knows what he's doing and Taran's really a brat for the most part, like in the movie. Some appearances of the characters that DO appear in the movie don't make sense. Gurgi, in the books, feels more like an orangutan or gorilla type character (to me) and Eilonwy's still a princess, but she's only half-human. Her father is what was known as the Sea-King. Her mother was from a long line of sorceresses, called the Royal House of Llyr. Now, Fflewddur Fflam, the rather bumbling old bard, in the book was a much younger and spry man with a hair full of yellow hair that looked like the rays of the sun. Turns out he was a king of a northern kingdom who wanted to give up that life to be a bard. Seems he wasn't good at being either. Dallben in the books looked more like Gandalf or Dumbledore, and there was another man living with him and Taran at Caer Dallben who was a blacksmith named Coll, a bald man who actually was a hero and his claim to fame was that he saved the oracular pig Hen-Wen from Annuvin, the book's Mordor if you will, where she was being held captive by the Horned King and the Dark Lord Arawn, king of Annuvin. In the movie, the Horned King and Arawn were mashed together into one character. The Black Cauldron didn't show up until the second book. Neither did those three hags, Ordu, Orwen, and Orgoch.
When Disney did the reboot of DuckTales, they brought José and Panchito back and they did switch the lyrics from "Three gay caballeros" to "Yes, three caballeros"
Okay, so this is really hilarious to me, given your work to skip it every time, but while I was watching the review, I just let the song play out until I eventually noticed a funny little trend. He was actually having the explosion occur earlier and earlier within the song as he went from 11 to 1. At first I thought I was just getting so sick of the song that I was imagining it, but then, after a bit, I realized "nope, it actually IS happening sooner". If you rewatch it, keep an eye out for that. XD
26:30- I find it funny he said this considering in his Disneycember review, he complained about the giant being able to shapeshift being unnecessary for a being who's already amazing by simply existing.
*Alright!* It's always good to see y'all react to Nostalgia Critic videos. Hopefully, y'all will react to the *Lackadaisy pilot* next!
Have you thought of actually meeting Doug Walker in person and actually think about doing a collaboration with him not in your videos, but in his videos like you can ask him if you can appear in his videos
Now to be fair to Prince and the Pauper Disney did do a live action television film back in the 60’s.
Although it isn't a Disney movie Disney now owns the property since they acquired Fox, and I think that Anastasia could use a remake. The original is good but it has some questionable decisions, like the bat character and the jarring editing. It would very much be an adult focused film, but it would be great for actual live-action since most of the characters are human and the movie takes place in a human environment, the city, the train, the wilderness, the boat, all very much doable without CGI though it would probably be needed to give that 1920s/1930s look to buildings and whatnot. And I can only imagine who would play Rasputin, who easily has one of the best villain songs in all of animation history.
OMG! Nate and I had same reaction to Atlantis The Lost Empire! One of (and still is) my favorite movies growing up along with it's sequel "Milo's Return". Of the characters, I would like to see who managed to get to play Audrey; I loved her character in both movies.

well, Gal Gadot, i really like her, she sings fine in 'A Place Called Slaughter Race' in 2018's Ralph Breaks the Internet, but in 2020, she gained backlash for her 'Imagine' cover youtube video. on top of being casted as Cleopatra, which divided people, it's best not to cast her in the hunchback remake.
I had a bunch of the Mickey Mouse movies on vcr as a kid, and looking at some of these brings back nostalgia.
Atlantis the Lost Empire Live Action I could see it visually being amazing. Also me and my friends had discussions about a live action Princess and the Frog and we talked about having the cast from the animated to be the live action cast

Beauty and the Beast did initially have a practical suit for the Beast, but I guess it didn't work for them so they went all CGI. Personally, my favorite live action "remake" is Cruella, it's easily the most original and stylish of them.
Also, I also thought that the submarine in Atlantis: The Lost Empire felt like it was on par power-wise overall feel with the Nautilus from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Captain Nemo's side of things always felt like Atlantis fare to me. If only they did that movie so much more like Atlantis than the LXG we got. It had SO much potential, and most of the characters on the team were great...well...except for Tom Sawyer, who literally had nothing to do and no talents, Alan Quartermain, who was talented but had a problem with women, and Dorian Grey, who was just a d!ck. Mina, Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Captain Nemo, and Skinner the Invisible Man were pretty great.
HEY!! Belle being blown up was awesome. Especially that the singing grows shorter and shorter :P

As much as I would love to see Atlantis make a comeback, I unfortunately don't trust Disney as it is today to stay faithful 😅 (same with Treasure Planet)
What they Should do (and this not technically have to be a “Disney” Thing) is make a Horror Movie Spinoff version of Lion King (Especially, Scar as The Monster, like maybe Scar would be a Lion that is Bloodthirsty and it’s Skinny and Boney with Razor Sharp Dagger-Like Claws and Teeth that Slaughter both Humans and Animals, even Lions)

I thought he was gonna make treasure planet number one. You could easily see a pirates of the caribean type film made with that 🤔.
You should have Kate react The Hunchback of Notre Dame with the Nostalgia Critic
I'd totally be down for a revisitation of The Black Cauldron. The original 1985 movie was just a hodge-podge of the five Prydain books, not focusing on barely anything coherent, yet had decent animation and a terrifying villain, although very flat. For this live-action pick, I'd have three conditions to be somewhat good: _ bring back Tim Burton as the artistic director _ if a movie isn't enough to cover the lore of Prydain, then fine, make it a series _ that one's a little extra, but have all the non-human characters done in stop-motion with Laika Studio at the animation part.
There is a live action Atlantis. It’s called Stargate.
Atlantis and Treasure Planet for me.

I was waiting for your reaction to Doug's idea of *fitting transition* here... I think your transitions (even if you had none) would have been better.
Hey Nate, when are you gonna react to Nostalgia Critic's Animated Titanic Trilogy? Those have been requested for quite a while now.
i don't know on what i think on disney's upcoming live-action remake of hunchback. if they do the live-action remake of Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame and may possibly screw it up/ruin it, i'll probably say it here (on record here as of 4-25-2023), "be careful what you wish for."
The fact that Treasure Planet wasn’t on here. 💀
I know im 1 year late, but not only does disney own the rights to marvel but also to the avatar franchise. If you combine those 2, you could get amazing results in making an atlantis movie.
I agree with some of these.....but for me.....if I ever wanted a live remake (though CGI would have to be used) is......"The Sword in the Stone" I LOVE that movie and if they remade it I would be ecstatic....as long as they didn't try to force in more conflict where it doesn't belong.....but the final battle with Merlin and the witch (been so long I can't remember her name) would be sooo cool.

i rather they do prosthetic makeup and costuming like on quasimodo than use painfully obvious cgi faces. then again, look up 'Best Quasimodo' from VC Andrews Critiquer's vid of Old vs. New: The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Every remake had something I liked, Jude Law in Peter Pan and Wendy and the twist involving hook, the story behind Belle’s mother, Tom Hanks in Pinocchio, there’s more I like but there are more cons than pros, I’ve said this many times, I’m giving these a chance, but if they fail Hunchback of Notre Dame, I’m done watching them
