I know that the title says songs, but like his annual top singles lists, he’s only chosen and used songs that were singles. Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that this list is fucking amazing? Of course it's not perfect, but just imagine how many albums and songs Anthony must have considered and compiled. The fact that he was even able to make this is a crowning achievement. No wonder his sanity is hanging by a thread

There will never be a youtuber that will ever top the dedication that this man puts into the best of the best, which is music. Day by day we get these reviews, these thoughts and this incredible opinion from a man that knows music better than all of us. I mean he reused a lot of these songs from other recent lists so it’s not like he’s had to reevaluate the same songs for each video. Plus I doubt he gives too much thought to each pick, he just went through some of his favorite songs of the decade, not every song of the decade.

It's a pretty mediocre list and has opened my eyes to the fact that Fantano places far more emphasis on the timely as opposed to the timeless. The only tracks I even mildly agree with in the top 20 are Helplessness Blues and Black Star, songs that actually convey a timely emotion within a timeless scope. I can't believe that Charlie XCX and Career Boy are in the top 20 of the past 10 years. Apocalypse Dreams is on the same level as Helplessness Blues, that's just off the top of my head.

Anthony, as a fond Soviet romanticizer myself, I really appreciate that you put the glorious Soviet Anthem at #1, but the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991, it's really time to let go

in all seriousness i'm always amazed how every list anthony does has such a vast array of genres and sounds. really makes you think about just how much knowledge and experience he has in music, and how much he takes into consideration without excluding any corner of the industry

I was so sad to not see my favorite song of the decade on the list but you had their artists on list so I guess it's ok. My favorite song of the decade is Do Ya Thing by Gorrilaz, James Murphy, and Andre 3000. It's a masterpiece in music imo. The raw emotion in the lyrics, Andre's wailing, the fun switch in tone, and the fact it provided 13 MINUTES OF ART. Amazing song

I sort of get it. Plastic Beach is my favorite Gorillaz album but I would not say all of the tracks are the best. It's the album experience I value.

The fact that Cal Chuchesta's 2018 classic, "Slap Chop" didn't make this list...tells me everything I need to know about your credibility as an appraiser of the musical arts.

For the longest time I've only listened to metal, punk or really experimental, noisy things so I really gravitated towards your channel because you seem to enjoy this type of music a lot as well. This decade however (I've started watching you in 2015 btw), I managed to expand my horizon to so much more amazing music genres and I learned how to appreciate softer and more melodic artists which I now love just as much as what I've previously listened to. I also grew to appreciate a lot of classic artists I've discarded as mainstream before like the Beatles or Prince. A big part of this (besides rym and deep cuts) was your incredible dedication not to a specific genre but to music as a whole. All your starter packs, tier lists, not goods and normal reviews infected me with that general love of music as well and I feel like I've become a better listener the past couple of years. I'm looking forward to all the new and old music I will discover this decade and to hearing from you about it. There are still a lot of genres and artists on my list that I don't know a lot about and that want to be explored. Thank you for what you do!

Litterally my feelings. I was hardcore into only black metal maybe 4 years ago and since I started watching him, I’ve grown as a listener and my top 100 songs of the year list I made is so diverse. Not diverse to look cool but diverse bc of how much love I have for other genres and artists
