Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal) is a subgenre of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. 1 year ago, I began with SOAD and Linkin Park, and now I listen to almost all the main metal subgenres, but Nu metal will always be my favorite subgenre and System of a down and Linkin Park will always be my favorite bands with KoЯn and Slipknot

@@atvena no man, most of them are mainstream and the songs are only the most famous on their respective albuns. And Numb is a generic strutured pop rock song, theres nothing special on it, no scream, no rapping, no scrathing, almost no guitars and is the worst chester performance on Meteora, its a Backstreet Boys with SOME guitars, the lyrics are the patetic "im different from you and you dont understand me", its a product not a true song Lying From You or Nobody Listening deserved to be singles much more than Numb, if Numb isnt one most of you dont even remeber it, just like Pushing Me Away that is a best version of Numb.

Holy shit some of these songs or bands I have never heard of. Linkin Park, Korn,Limp Bizkit, Slipknot and System of a Down are my main nu metal bands. I'm starting to like these ones too man did I miss out on a good era!!!!!

You choose some of the worst songs on Hybrid Theory, and Chester isnt even close to be the best. The non singles and b sides are infinitly better than their mediocre singles, A Place For My Head is amazing, but Esaul is better.

@@Rusli1659LPSoldier with worst songs i was reffering to Crawling and One Step Closer, i love A Place For My Head, but its a simplified version of Esaul, with more infatile lyrics (compare the chorus for example) and worst rapping, very worst rapping, and it aplies to all the other demos. But yeah, A Place For My Head deserved to be a single instead One Step Closer or Crawling, same with Forgotten! Papercut and In The End are nice choices, but One Step Closer and Crawling theres nothing with the band.

Nu Metal is my favorite metal genre because it's the genre that got me into metal 4 years ago. I listen to it all the time along with thrash metal and alternative metal. Also, because I was born in the late 90's and Nu Metal was popular around that time.

The world hasnt seen better mainstream music before or since. Just this list alone is banger after banger (though with some questionable choices in the upper tiers) and theres still tons more to add.
