My dad has one of these in our garage. He lets me use it to shred up logs and any leftover house stuff we don't use. But he always makes me take a few steps back, and safety goggles when using it. I never understood why. until a shred of glass was shot like a bullet through the garage window, which cracked. grinders are dangerous if you're careless.

When the guy threw in that shock with the spring on it made me think of someone throwing a grenade in the machine. Would've definitely hid under some protection for that one.

I'm hoping someone here may be familiar with these machines and have the answer to this question, not sure where else I could ask. Logistics of getting the items to the machine aside, could a machine such as this be used to destroy explosives the size of anti-personel landmines or IEDs? Even if they exploded, would it be enough to damage the crusher?

Explosions will definitely damage the alignment of the claws which will cause heavy damage as the machine claws would destroy each other, unless the motor is not strong enough or has a safety measure, then the whole thing would just stop

Anyone ever watched videos like these and thought about getting your hand caught in there 😂🤦‍♂️ I can just imagine the carnage.

Some items that I am watching getting shredded, I think about the story behind them. For instance, the bicycle delivery basket vehicle - the owner very likely saved up money to buy it then used it to earn money to support his family.
