Considering how he was a rushed design...sums it up pretty well.

I remember one time I went to a local store, but there were nothing but gamer editon Barricades. My dad asked me if i wanted that, since it looked "cool" to him. I ovbiously respoded "hell no". Glad we ended up buying a Legacy Prowl.

While I’m not here to convince you to get Scourge, it should be noted that Perspective did get a copy with some bad QC by the looks of things. There are other reviewers who decently like this figure and theirs’ have good QC. If you want to see those reviews, then I’d personally recommend The Sheep Wielder’s short and T.T.G’s first wave SS ROTB figures video. However if you are interested Scourge’s design and do eventually want to get a transformable Scourge figure and don’t want to have a toss up with the half price copy you found, you could wait for BaiWei’s copy to come out to see how people respond to that copy. The main bulk of the figure still has the same design, though it is still in its prototype phase, but it does have a movie accurate head without having to worry about the ball jointed neck piece on the Hasbro copy.

@@jaydonmagan4694 Thanks! To be honest, I've never wanted to buy it for the character, as it looks nothing like the movie. Sometimes the mold carries the entire figure, even though it looks nothing like the character it's supposed to represent. I hoped Scourge might've been that, but sadly it seems, that's not the case. I think I'll just wait for some third party offering, that's eventually going to hit the market.

@@VectorPrimeStopMotion At the moment the closest you got to that is either BaiWei’s copy or the upgrade kits for Scourge that make him more movie accurate and just a bulkier figure in general. I know I definitely intend to get a specific upgrade kit for my copy of Scourge to help fill him out some more. But who knows. Maybe we’ll eventually see a third party company give us an MP ROTB Scourge with Unique Toys levels of engineering. I would have said Takara as a potential future offer, but they’re clearly being slow at making their MPM figures. Though their Blackout and Bonecrusher have been received pretty well, so they could possibly do a pretty good MPM Scourge somewhere done the line. However an SS scaled third party Scourge might be tricky for some companies due to the more rounded limbs he has in the film. It’d probably be sturdier than the regular mold, but it’d also probably have sacrifices made for the design.

well, get the baiwei version, it comes with an upgrade kit already installed and is much better built as well as having some retooling to be more accurate.

I actually enjoy studio series scourge, I never had a problem with my copy and I don’t mind that it uses the concept art design. The figure is what got me back into collecting transformers after suffering through SS car shatter and a terrible copy of siege prowl.

It’s funny that you say that Jobby is the horny uncle, yet even he would still call out masterpiece arcee’s proportions and the fanstoys arcee’s add on. “It’s too try hard and…. Too horny…. HORNY!!!!”

Just discovered your channel yesterday and have been binging your videos while doing things around the house. Very entertaining, earned that subscription and bell. I gotta say, SS Scourge makes me sad. Definitely my favourite design from ROTB and it blows that his big flashy Leader toy falls so short. I have only transformed him once because I am TERRIFIED of breaking all that stupid clear plastic. And I had to wrap twist ties around his smokestacks because mine REFUSE to stay up. I am this close to grabbing the Yolopark kit because it looks a million times better.

Man its a good thing I preordered dk- 46 and dk-49 to make scourge the best he can be. Also on this list ss 102 would probably go in 9 because the posing is pretty good and so is the transformation but the back of the truck is bad and so is his hot rod shoulders (good thing I preordered dk-44) and also if you review ss Optimus primial I can garunte you will love it its transformation with the arms is the best part cause its really fun.

Maybe, I don't know that I've ever destroyed an Optimus on the Rankings just for how the Tailgate section of the Altmode wound up.

I understand that everyone can have their opinions, which is why I believe you are very correct with most of these. Bad transformation is what pushes a figure from bad all the way to terrible. That’s the worst part of GE Bumblebee in my mind.

You didn't mention Blackarachnia's lack of wrists, that was my big problem with the figure.

A friend of mine has had the misfortune of getting an SS Scourge recently, and we both agreed that it was one of the worst Chug figures of 2023. To this day I will never understand why people enjoy that thing so much when it has the engineering and height of a bad voyager yet still costs nearly double the price where I live.

Hope that the figure quality gets better for the SSG figures because there are characters from the high moon games that deserve brand new figure that due them justice. I cant wait to see a fall of cybertron grimlock when they finally get around to do that because i was never much of a fan of the derpy G1 grimlock design.

I can agree that they deserve better, even if I'm not a fan of the designs from the games. See I think the Game Design for Grimlock is WAY more derpy with his bloated torso, giant toddler shoes, and dinky little head.

Despite the fact, I have been here since really early on, I believe back when you uploaded earthrise is a bad toy line, I had not figured out with the two symbols next year mascot logo was. I’ve been watching your channel for a couple of years, met you at TFCon in March, and somehow this one slipped under my radar till today. I noticed something awesome about you for the first time in this…you’re kind of like the Angry Video Game Nerd of transformers reviewers. Gonna have to get my daughter to watch this. OMG CLIFF GOT SPARED??!??!!?!??! Mainline bumblebee is weird but to transform it you got to shove his fake gut as far up the body as possible for it to be flush scourge for a lot is the QC lottery where i've got perfect stacks and a decent head, but his ankles and legs DON'T WORK AT ALL!!!!!

Honestly if you had SS 102 Optimus, it would also fit right in to the worst list. Because I have it now and let me tell you, I feel the same way as you feel about ss rhinox.

SS Mirage feels like they tried despite the strict licencing, Mainline feels like they didn't try at all. Such a shame the main character of the movie had so few toys, and what ones he did get ranged from necessarily compromised, to ugly and half-assed.

I don't understand why nothing on SS Rhinox was pinned. I avoid transforming that thing and for some reason I have two of them. I loved the disarray the figures were in I wish my Walmart would stock shit so I could get RotB mainline Optimus Prime.

I got really lucky with my Scourge. He has very good qc with just a slightly loose smokestack. Personally, he's one of my favorite figures of the year but I get why you put him in here.

That Pablo toy looks like they took it. Out of the oven to early. there's actually some bits that seem like they would work, especially if it was. You pablo and not wheeljack... But as it exists in the real world, it's just hinting at something that could be decent

Man, it would have been great if we got full reviews of these dumpster fires. I think Transarts can be a hit or miss sometimes with their releases. But also, they've been pumping out figures like crazy after TM Megatron was released. With TM2 Black Arachnia, I think the transformation is so bad is mainly due to the character design. The designer was so busy trying to make a sexy woman and forgot she needed to transform.

I'm so much happier and more creative, when I'm furious. To be fair yes. She is a design that's just about impossible to make work without MASSIVE cheats.

Question of the comments if you could pick any piece of media (movie TV show game) to crossover with the transformers, who would it be and why? my personal favorite is dragon Megatron retooled into Charizard. What would it be called Charitron? cyberzard?

Worst figure of 2023 for me? It’s a tie between Evolution Bludgeon and Evolution Strongarm. Now, don’t get me wrong, both have aspects that I like. Bludgeon has all of Tarn’s good qualities semi-amplified by not being Tarn and Strongarm is an impressive retool that’s about 80% of the way there to being accurate (even if a third of that is her truck mode being perfect). However, both of them suffer because of their source material. Bludgeon still has Hot Rod shoulders, inappropriate use of clear plastic, and is pretty puny by modern Voyager standards; Strongarm suffers from Elita/Minerva’s clashy transformation and clunky shoulders. Both are 6/10s, but they’re very low 6/10s.

What's funny is I used to lower the volume by 4 decibels of the whole vocal track, because I didn't want it drowning out the music. I recently stopped doing that, yet you still can't hear it.

Honestly my worst figure of the year would have to be Studio Series battletrap. Not because it’s a bad figure but because the qc was horrible. When I opened it and tried to rotate the right bicep it fell off. And because it was clearly too tight for the assembly line to attach it I obviously went to do it which resulted in the upper of the double mushroom peg going into the lower slot. So now it’s borderline untransformable.

Batteltrap was going to be on the Honorable Mentions here, just because the Transformation is pretty bad, and the altmode is infuriating with how it never feels done.

I kinda want to get the SND Prime. He looks like he poses really well and while not my favorite IDW Prime design he still looks good and it won’t bother me to never transform it. I’ve found it for $60

It's a Heinous Piece of shit. It'd be insufferably boring alone, but it also goes out of it's way to Ruin Luke Skywalker, and to destroy the lore.

I got really lucky and found Concept art Megatron on a shelf the other day. This thing is absolutely beefy, it’s heavy and feels like it’s premium collectors’ plastic you’d find on an old fansproject figure from 10 years ago. That all being said, it has so much paint on it I’m afraid it’ll scuff up from just looking at it 🫠 happy hunting y’all

Scourge definitely feels like a overrated figure, and that is someone who likes the design from the movie. And yeah, if you hate the mainline ROTB Bumblebee, do not get SS 49, like, never. Mainly because the transformation sucks, oh and it breaks Edit: also this a great video.

I was tempted to get that RotB Cheetor since I enjoy beast-mode characters with simple fun transformations; but the colour scheme was too jank for me to wanna to pay full price for it.

I plan to get DNAs kits so the head problem is ignorable. I have been hunting for him since he released with no luck, so I’m getting desperate.

I wouldn't call him a Steaming Pile of Poo, He's got a great look in both modes, and Good poseablity for a masterpiece, but that transformation is Cancerous.

It is a shame, but at least it's not HORRIFICALLY expensive, just really expensive.

I liked how Pablo jumped into your hands thanks to editing, cute touch. Barricade was my number 1 as far as not buying. I bought Gamer Edition Prime and Megatron. Love Prime, and Megatron was so disappointing i returned him. Every review of Barricade I watched was negative, and it poisoned the well rather completely. However I'm not FOMOing over it, as it looks like i dodged a bullet. As far as things I got in my hand I suppose I have to say Gamer Megatron. Only figure I returned. Tiny head, he holds his mace stupidly, which would be forgivable if they didn’t JUST make Prime with a segmented axe for decent display, the knees and their infamous rear pegs that do NOTHING for transformation and exist simpyl to impede articulation. The arm cannon is flimsy, feels cheap, and is super tiny. Finally, it's a Voyager, and somehow is less accurate in alt mode, and even missing the neat little feature of a 10 year old deluxe with the tank treads you could flip up for hover mode of deploy for running fools down. I'd say his existance only contributed to not only skipping Barricade but not even attempting to give Bumblebee or Cliffjumper any chances, again bullets dodged.

I did so many things in this video wrong on purpose it's great. Yeah, I love how in this very positive Community, NO ONE has patience for Barricade. I actually don't hate the Gamer Megatron, I thought I would, but I'm OK with it.

Hey can you make a short or something on mmc’s hotspot since they’ve finally released painted product shots. No biggie if you can’t, but I know we’re both looking forward to mmc’s next combiner

I didn't either, and hell I forgot that I had Battletrap, who also would have made the list for his Transformation.

Someone should tell X Transbots that you're not supposed to assemble the model kit before you sell it. ...it's a toy? Could've fooled me with that very obvious model kit plastic. Seriously, you're not supposed to use that plastic for figures that take the regular abuse that a Transformer does.

‼️FUN FACT‼️ I got in a car wreck with some of my collection in the car and all the figures managed to survive (including some KOs) EXCEPT FOR SS RINOX HE ABSOLUTELY WAS IN SHAMBLES, SMITHEREENS, PARTS SCATTERED TO THE COSMOS!!!!

I was fine with the scourge, mine had good qc. The head on mine never rlly comes off unless you force it. I just dont transform it cause the clear plastic cracked when he fell of my shelf

As a side tangent about the TransArt TM2 Black Arachnia, you were actually more brave than Jobby with how many times you showed the figure with the bra off, and at so close of an angle. I don’t know if you should view that as a compliment or something to be concerned about. But speaking of TransArt I’m decently excited for their upcoming Quickstrike. I really like how they fixed the shoulder transformation from the prototype images. However I wish his head wasn’t visible from his underside in beast mode. I don’t care if that’s how it looked in some shots of his animation model, an organic alt mode should have a more proper underbelly. If Takara ever takes a shot at an MP Quickstrike, I hope they can add more moving parts for a full underbelly that can cover everything on the bottom.

I mean it's not something I make a habit of doing. That Quickstrike looks so good, I'm so excited.

I see your points on each one, except the rhinox. Maybe you have a faulty copy for transformation, cuz none of the parts fall off. But well the proportions are kinda off yeah, and the articulation is pretty bad yeah, but i think he looks cool with the color and detail in both modes, and you can cover up the empty hole with the accesory

I mean even if mines QC wasn't so bad, it'd still be not any good. Weak Posing, Weak Transformation, Weak altmode, just over all weak.

Honestly i really like Gamer Edition Bumblebee but i mostly agree with the list. I remenber a few years ago i bought Kingdom Rhinox even after you said it was shit and ended up regretting it so this year i decided to get the Mainline one over the SS and i gotta say, it is just great, feels amazing and the transformation is actually fun so im glad i listened to your recommendation this time. Also, i was tempted to get that 3rd party Optimus but i am really glad i forgot about it, i had no idea it was that shit

I only had one fig from the whole list. I’m at a stage where I got so many figures that if I don’t think imma like it, I jus don’t get it

You have been the only TFTuber I've seen that has been honest about how baf the Scourge figure is. I like the design, but yeah the head popping off constantly was so disappointing when I opened it up

@PerspectiveEnd eh it is what it is, always a risk with Hasbro QC I guess. The Yolopark figure looks like the best version of the character to me.

It's interesting that it was mostly the rotb and gamer edition figures were the most phoned in. I wonder what the politics behind the situation was. One of the figures I was disappointed with was Bombshell. The stupid hat ruins everything. I'm really worried about how they'll phone in other factions. I'd also love to hear more of your takes on star wars sometime. Also, was that a fifth element reference at 6:38? "not one, or two, or three, but four. Four stones". Also, I concur that rotb Wheeljack was a bad design. I guess I was buying into hype at the time. I guess from the neck down, it's not a bad design

the worst figures I got in 2023 was all at the end of the year legacy animated prowl - the face is the only reason it sucks legacy knockout - loose as shit legacy rid scourge - nice repaint but shit figure legacy skullgrin - fuck this figure, everytime I get rid of it. I am given another one. this figure is my curse and I might as well keep it so it doesnt curse me worse. update on the figures, I sold them except prowl as I think the bumblebee kinda sucks more because the transformation is a bit ass.
