There’s literally nothing wrong with Ronin, the aspect how he changes his alliances to fit if it helps him or not is the charm of the character. It’s what makes him different. I’m happy how his character was portrayed in Crystalized

My guy said Ronin was a bad character... Shadow of Ronin - Literally steals memories, is revealed to sell Zane to Chen, goes on to continuosly defeat the Ninja after all of them already got their powers back, makes Misako his ally for a bit, traverses the 16 realms, creates a stone golem with a huge sword just to get defeated in the last second. Zoinks out of a realm with REX, and just bails to Stix. Posession - Has such a big debt that it either costs a fortune or his soul to the Soul Archer, steals the Scroll of Airjitzu for no reason, loses it to Morro, has enough balls to tell Kai that he either dies or gives his portion of the shop, gives Ninja a chance to learn Airjitzu but Cole is turned into a ghost (could've been avoided if u think about it), gets more money from Nya just for a trip to her Samurai X Cave and back, COULD'VE BAILED BUT ACTUALLY SAVED NYA, gave her the best piece of advice about her biggest fear, just to minutes later get the sword to Morro. Gets posessed by him, saves the Ninja last second from a blast so big it destroyed mountains, and tells them that he actually cares. Later kept helping the Ninja in battling a literal incarnation of hell and tried giving a shot at Morro. Skybound - Catches every Ninja in all sorts of ways, hacks into Zane, detects an invisible Cole, tells him he is the Master of Kablooey, chases down Kai and Nya on wings, just so his criminal record is erased. Later saved the Ninja on the island, makes everyone defend Jay in the Sword of Souls WITH GARDEN TOOLS. AND IT WORKED. Hands of Time - breaks his leg The Island - discovers an Island with different species before Wu who is thousands of years old, tricks it's inhabitants into giving all the treasures just because he wanted more money. Seabound - had enough respect to the team after they literally captured him just to attend Nya's funeral Crystalized - breaks out from jail, steals a bus, tells everyone to make their mommas proud, saves PIXAL and Zane, gets turned into a crystal zombie, gets turned back and helps rebuild the monastery. Bad character?

Season 5 was the perfect arc for ronin, they didn’t need to fuck it up in season 6. But ast least they fixed it later in the season and he was good again in DOTD and season 7. The island was a complete waste of his character, we don’t need ronin to be evil if u wanna see an evil ronin go play shadow of ronin. Wasted his character arc again He should’ve stayed an ally after season 5. Like Skylar

This might be a little controversial but I really liked Ronin's dynamics with Nya in Possession. I kind of took it as he was an older brother to her and tried to give her advice on unlocking and then mastering her powers, at least he tried to. But yeah he is a pretty inconsistent character and that bugs be quite a bit (Ronin in Crystalized for example like- what) Edit: I JUST WATCHED THE ENDING and I haven't heard anything more relatable in my life. A lot of people love Dareth and he is just annoying in my opinion. I think his purpose is just be there and show that people without powers can be useful but no just no

That’s not the point. Every one with an ounce of brain cells can recognize that they are comedy characters. It’s the fact that they fail to be funny and SERVE their PURPOSE as comedy characters in just about every way that makes them so bad.

Personally, I really like Ronin and for Yang, I think he was really interesting and kind of intimidating in season 5 but day of the departed made all the villains stupid and he was actually the least annoying and stupid villain of the special.

In my opinion, I think mostly the opposite for Yang, yes he might sound and seem stale, but he has a really good motive for what his plan is (returning to human) but he tried getting human before Cole (if Cole was never a ghost he would’ve never been a villain) and he wanted to be human again to teach students again, at first he was reluctant to the thought that he will miss his chance to be human again, but eventually selflessly let Cole take the rift, leaving him as a forgotten ghost, and he is probably still lurking around invisible Or I might be biased because I have a Yang figure

Ronin is a term used for a samurai who does not have a master or a fudal lord. Thus he wanders land as a hired gun or a bounty hunter. Mercenary at least. I see ronin's character quite fitting with his name since he just gotta do what benifits him.

Ronin- S5- 10/10 perfect Han Solo arc and added a lot to the story S6- 6/10 he still feels exactly like the same ronin, but why is he GOING AGAINST THE NINJA AND HIS CHARACTER ARC S7- 8/10 he’s perfectly fine this season (this also includes DOTD) S8-10- he’s hardly in these so I won’t count it The island- 2/10 he doesn’t feel the same his jokes don’t hit the same and he’s against the ninja again. Crystalized- 7/10 he’s alright, I don’t like how he doesn’t like the ninja at first, but I like that he turns around In the end. They should’ve have ever messed up his arc in season 6 but I mean I guess they needed someone time hunt the ninja might as well be someone we already know and like. Also Shadow of ronin- 9/10 he doesn’t have a change in character as an arc because season 5 is supposed to be a continuation of this arc. Buuuuutttt, I love his evil demeanor and his way of going about things

I actually think Ghoultar is meh, Krag was fine, Fugi-dove is actually pretty good cuz hes annoying and ridiculous, Yes, but thats his character and I'm fine with him (Also I really wanted Jay to punch him or something in Crystallized). I like Asheera more in Crystallized, in s11 she was just stupid, I like Clutch Powers, but Ninjago's portrayal of him is a HUGE slap in the face for his character in his movie. And I actually like Dareth (just a little tho, hes just fine) and he has done some (only some) pretty good things throughout the whole series, Imo hes just fine. I don't even find Dareth that annoying and stupid. It may be because Dareth's stupidity isn't nearly as annoying and consequential than the stupidity of our protagonists. Dareth's stupidity even helpful at times.

Me who has actually liked Ronin and Dareth ever since their very first appearance....

Basically i am one of those people who say i dont dislike any character i like every character and every season

Most of these characters would be fine if they didn’t play with there overused gags, sometimes they just need to calm down. Also I miss the days when Dareth and Ronin where basically (loosely) ninja on call, made situations feel more real when they were relaying on these guys.
