Todd McFarlane also designed a character available in all versions in Necrid. Also, no joke, Heihachi was simply the back-up plan for a failed attempt to make the PS2 guest character Cloud Strife. That's actually true. The Dante in III thing, however, is not, in case anyone thought of that one.

And this is without taking into account the biggest, craziest crossover oriented franchise of them all: Super Robot Wars! Basically, if it has giant robots, spaceships or mecha suits, then it is fair game. You want Eva? TTGL? Super Sentai? Ultraman? Cowboy Bebop? Hatsune Miku? Yeah, it all is possible.

Super Robot Wars really deserves a mention! Its weirdness is honestly part of the series's charm! And hell! Sometimes things go even beyond mechas! Such as Transforming Super Heroes that fight by themselves rather than using any mechas. (Tekkaman Blade) Or machines that are even smaller than even a normal person. (Medabots/Medarot. Sadly only in thr X-Omega mobile game.)

The best part about DBD is it only gets Crazier. They are adding the Xenomorph from Alien into the game, so this is a game where a Xenomorph can kill Nic Cage while Laurie Strode and Steve Harrington heal one another and Cheryl Mason can hide from the beast in a locker in the Raccoon City Police Department

That taiko drum guy also showed up in Yo-kai Watch 2 and 3... and also Final Fantasy in YKW3.

Before watching the video, I was instantly thinking of 2 specific games. Soul Calibur series starting with Soul Calibur 2 that had Link and Spawn as fighting game characters. And Cross Edge, a JRPG with the Dark Stalkers characters as well as characters from niche JRPGs like Atelier, Ar Tonelico, Disgeia and one from Compile Heart/Idea Factory.

Some of the weirdest and craziest crossovers i seen are the puzzle and dragons mobile game, (which has had crossovers with persona, yu gi oh, jojo, street fighter, kof, and others) Lego dimensions, brawlhalla, sonic, street fighter, and virtua fighter characters being in a fist of the north star mobile game, identity v having crossovers with persona 5, Danganronpa, fatal frame 2, death note, and others, and the noid being in the crash bandicoot on the run mobile game.

Unfortunately Lego dimensions is a 2015 toys to life game and unlike the Disney infinity trilogy that got a officially made pc version that removed the toys to life gimmick, you'll have to spend some money if you want to play it.

Tokyo mirage sessions is one of the cringiest things I've ever played that I absolutely loved despite being neither of the things it claims to be crossing over with.

The ff7 characters in Ehergeiz was done in a bid to advertise the former ip and _nothing else_

I know you probably didn't include it because it's one of the more popular crossovers in gaming but I still think Kingdom Hearts is at the top of the list in terms of *WEIRD* crossovers. At least with Tokyo Mirage Sessiosn FE we're still talking about 2 popular RPG series, they're just combined in an... _unconventional_ way. But then you have Kingdom Hearts which is a crossover between Final Fantasy (and later other Square series)... and *DISNEY* As in, the company who's been making cartoons since the 20s... seriously, who watched Steamboat Willie on some Disney cartoon VHS compilation in the 90s and thought "Hmmm, you know, this cartoon my granpa used to watch is really good... but it could use some Moogles!" That's the level of sheer *UNEXPECTEDNESS* we're talking about here. And then in the games themselves you have stuff like James Woods as Hades from Disney's "Hercules" talking with Cloud from FFVII and later Auron from FFX, Squall Leonhart caring about the 101 Dalmatians, Merlin from "The Sword in the Stone" acting as the mage in the FF part at Radiant Garden (that includes Aerith, Yuffie and Cid), The Gullwings from FFX-2 working for Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty," Donald Duck and Goofy meeting Sephiroth (and saying his name out loud), the list goes on. I honestly have yet to see a crossover *WEIRDER* than Kingdom Hearts... the only thing that could rival it would be if DreamWorks or Warner Bros. decided to make a similar crossover with Persona or Shin Megami Tensei.

19:10 so Spawn was created by Todd McFarlane (McFarlane toys) He made Necrid for the game and was given a second character to add, after he made some scaled models of SC2 fighters! Thats when he said “I want Spawn in!” And they said “You got it.” 32:51 I actually truly enjoyed this crossover simply because it was weird. It was wild, different, fun- and funny. Most traditional fire emblem‘s or Shin Megami Tensei‘s are dark as hell and if I had the time to marathon each of them while I was in quarantine in 2020- I’d probably have been jaded toward any other jRPG. The fact that this game toys with the idea of being serious in one scene- whilst being a purely different kind of game in terms of combat and gameplay- gave me so much more fun and enjoyment than if I was just playing FE or persona alone. Was it cheesy/cringy? Yeah it was. Did some scenes play out like a standard schlocky slice of life anime? Fuck yeah. *But is it a fun detour when just looking for a different kind of jrpg? You bet your ass.*

Not only did TMS suffered from differentiation gameplay and theme that made SMT fans have split reactions and thoughts, but to add the nail on this coffin, Atlus went as far as to keeping the censorship in tact for the Switch port. They even went as far as giving it to their Japanese consumers, in which they didn’t give with the Wii U port. It caused a massive anger and outroar in Japan that most of the consumers demanded a refund. It even riled up western/non-Japanese gamers who were heavily against censorship. As a result, people were instead buying the Japanese port on Wii U, which resulted to being the only port of TMS to become the best seller in Amazon. Honestly, even if the game were to revert back to the SMT roots, it still would’ve flopped considering the gaming community is becoming more sharp and aggressive against censorship. Such a shame TBH since I was interested into trying the game due to the fact it has Fire Emblem characters as personas, but of course, gotta bend the knee to something ridiculous. Aside from that, it’s quite a good list, especially seeing KOF All-Stars cuz that game was wild when seeing John Cena be next to Gintama, Kasumi, Akira, etc.
