As a collector of many things, my heart goes out to that poor woman who lost her teapot collection. I hope the idiots that caused it to be destroyed spent hours and tons of money scouring ebay to replace them for her, but I doubt that happened.
@jeffdroog

Honestly,that was the funniest part of it all for me.Someone who is literally that dumb,and so far uo their own asshole to think owning 6000 pounds worth of fragile teapots is a worthwhile,and lifelong investment,honestly deserved to have life slap them in the face as elegantly as this was done.Would have paid extra to see them smashed individually,and literally in front of the owner lol It's literally wasteful thinking such as hers that leads the entire world down its path of wasteful destruction.

Just seeing her trying to hold it together breaks my heart. I don't think those hosts realize that collecting is not just a hobby, it's a part of someone and who they are. And if it brings them back memories, it just adds to it.
@sallyhamilton7202

@@not.supermario Exactly! My collection, (I have a few) isn't just "things". It's "Oh here's the glass dog my niece gave me for Christmas. And here's the ceramic one from Brazil she got me for my birthday a couple of years ago". "Here's the one my brother gave me". "Here's the one I got on Ebay that I really really wanted and never thought I would win on such a low bid" and with every memory comes the emotion you experienced when you received (or won) that specific piece. And GOD FORBID any of those were family heirlooms because even if they are "replaced" they are not the same ones mom or dad or grandma held and used.

The whole idea of allowing "professionals" free rein to renovate and/or redecorate your home - at your expense - is terribly flawed. I would insist on approving the process at every step, and I suspect that most people would feel the same. Especially if they're paying the bill.

There's nothing to rival the teapot carnage, no wonder the owner still can't stand Linda
I like how they said "warm hug" and that designer was like "oh yeah, Walmart garden section gotcha". Seriously though, how can you not think to at least use warm colors and lighting? You've got a shit ton of green, mustard yellow, and little blue aquariums. Looks like they got a biologist instead.
Yikes 😬 The broken tea pots is heartbreaking 💔
I loved Trading Spaces' until the designers, namely Hildi would do exactly what the home owners had on their list of things they didnt want or like. I remember that fireplace episode and always wondered if they were still friends with the neighbors.
There's a worse Changing Rooms, the woman who wanted one style and go one from the wrong era, with garish floors and walls and furniture.
I remember these shows starting out when shows like this started and it was then to try make something good but nowdays I feel it’s done for a shock reaction and entertainment at the cost of the home owners dismay
Is it schadenfreude if i could not stop laughing this whole video??? 😂😂😂
I would love the sleeping pods 😂😂it looked big enough for both of them to fit in even if they had their own. I feel like i would sleep like a baby in one of those
I hope those shows have been stopped now. Those poor people who's homes they have destroyed and that poor lady with the no longer teapots, what possessed the show to add books onto something that was held up with what looked like fishing line. The wood alone would have been too heavy. Use chains you daft lot and anchor them well in the attic. I could have cried for all these people as they now have one heck of a job putting their rooms back to how they had them. If someone says please leave the fireplace as is, damned well leave it where it is. It makes me sick to see these people so unhappy. A cartoon room is for little kids - even they might not like it - but for that young girl of 16, it was just so gross.
I remember seeing the tea pot scandal show. I have to say as lovely in every way possible a woman can be, Linda Barker is, I would have gone ballistic if my whatever collection had been destroyed. No truthfully she could get away with anything with me.

I personally have a rule in my life called, “Don’t do the obviously bad thing.” This generally applies to placing items in precarious places where they will inevitably be damaged because I “hope” it will be ok, but the rule has many applications. It certainly would have come up with a precious collection of delicate irreplaceable teapots hurriedly placed on an untested hanging open shelf. That poor woman trusted them. Most Finnish shows like these ones are horribly bland. It's all about white with a hint of grey and lots of "modern, clean" elements. I hate that kind of safe approach for styling. No.5 I have that green carpet over some concrete in my garden. I'm surprised that "Your home in their hands" managed to stay on air for FIVE YEARS! Also that folk kept applying to be on it given the amount of folk brought to or almost brought to tears when they see the finished result (and those are not happy tears!). Does anyone know if they put the homes back to how they were if the owners don't like it or are they likely to have signed a contract basically agreeing to accept the result?
