Here's the ironic twist...if Ford didn't bring up the apprenticeship offer to Dipper, he would STILL be there to help Mabel through change. Sadly, Ol' Sixer seemed to think Mabel would betray Dipper anyway...just like Stan did HIM. So, I'm guessing splitting them up would be the "best thing to do." Ford is just another "genius" character who acts far too uncaring, cynical and prideful for their own good...at least till the end of the series. Other such characters like Lisa Loud, Jimmy Newtron, Tony Stark, Dexter from Dexter's Lab and even Brian Griffin have yet to mature themselves

Soos hating his birthday because of his absent dad was so sad since he took something that’s supposed to be joyful and made it a constant reminder of that pain. 😢 I’m so glad that he was able to overcome it because Mabel and Dipper showed him he has real loving people in his life that are actually worth his time.😊❤

I'm impressed the way that Mabel and Dipper went through to help Soos! Not only did their actions help Soos get over the heartbreak that his deadbeat dad caused him and move on but they also got Blendon pardoned. After all they were the ones that got Blendon into trouble in the first place!

This is why Gravity Falls was an amazing show. It respected its audience’s intelligence, had great writing and deeply fleshed out characters.

I’m surprised Pacifica’s abusive parents didn’t even come up as an honourable mention, I know they don’t delve very far into it, but Pacifica was definitely classic conditioned into listening to that bell, the way she literally freezes when Preston rings the bell makes it very clear that she’ll receive a very severe punishment if she doesn’t listen. Edit: I forgot to mention Stan and Ford's parents as well, they show blatant favouritism between their two sons, they care more about money then their own kids, as proven by the fact that they only care about Ford's success because they can make money off it, oh, and did I mention THEY THREW THEIR EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD SON OUT TO STRUGGLE ON HIS OWN FOR YEARS! So abusive parents in general could've been an honourable mention.

Honestly, number five really resonates with me. Amnesia is something I can deal with in fiction, but I despise the act of purposefully erasing or altering someone’s memories.

Gravity Falls is an excellent show overall. It teaches you some big lessons you don’t want to forget.

It is terrible

Mabel getting mad at Grunkle Stan for lying about letting Waddles out which resulted in Waddles getting kidnapped by a pterodactyl. She gets so mad that she refuses to talk to him. This makes Grunkle Stan realize how important Waddles is to Mabel and saves him and Mabel forgives him.

Regarding No.8 sock puppet deception there are times where someone tries a crush's interests and they actually enjoy and are good at them. Basically,it doesn't hurt to try new things just don't do it for the wrong reasons.

Finally! A video on serious issues with Gravity Falls. Btw the show is one of my favorite shows and one of my favorite animated shows (it’s up there with Batman animated series and Avatar the last airbender).

How come the abuse Pacifica suffered at the a hands of her parents wasn't mentioned at all? That's a big one, especially considering the way it resulted in her snobbishness and bullying nature. At the very least it should have been mentioned in #4.

Like it is such a great lesson to girls and for boys too, that it’s okay to say no, and that saying no is something that’s necessary, and that having someone else do it for you will make things worse. I wanted to help to someone who was obsessive with many people on internet, he believe "support" and "admire" always put a like and comment first even in the many social media they have, one day he put and Q&A and asking him "Why are you so obssesive with people?" and blocked me, just for a wake up call, even he wanted to donate all his money to one people don't caring be broke, in a backup account, one day I got fed up and I offend him in a DM, inmendiatly I regret it, later the guy accoused me as a monster who treats people badly, I'm not, I'm practicing everyday you described, I try to apologize, but people in those days don't have heart to forgive an offense with someone, i know there's unforgivable things, but we're humans how make mistakes everyday and everyone deserves forgive of our mistakes, but it depends on the act, even the obssesive guy weeks later after do almost the same thing as me even lied to a cartoon community

The thing that got me the most was Weirdmageddon 3, when Ford had to destroy Stan's memory to defeat Bill. I think what hit hard at that was the themes of self worth and purpose, when Stan in the burning mindscape says what could very well be his last words: Guess I was good for something after all.

I think the episode “Into the Bunker” teaches it’s viewers what you should do when you have feelings for someone and said person doesn’t feel the same way; except it and move on. The TTG episode “Sandwich Thief” basically tells you that you should do the opposite.

There's another episode where Dipper and Mabel go back in time and they run into little kid Wendy who promptly crushes on Dipper. That reinforces to him the perspective of older teen Wendy and how she feels about his crush on her. (So says the person in a relationship with a 5+ year age difference but we were both past 18)

@@chemrebel I think age gaps are fine, but I appreciate when they try to point out it's *where* the age gap is. For example, children are little and innocent. They're still learning about the world around them, so a romantic relationship with someone with a different maturity range doesn't work. (Which is why I appreciate the reverse perspective, because when you *are* that age, children still developing look exactly like that: like babies. That's why when people bring up age gaps, my first response is "Where is the gap? That's what you should focus on." I know people with almost twenty years between them and they're perfectly happy. So it's not the size of the gap, just where it is when you meet.
