The family oriented drunken dad controlling mom dysfunctional American family with some voice of reason member is maybe the only thing that family guy based on but everything the humor script the setting tone and edgy darkness and etc are entirely different

As a longtime fan, I really love both 'The Simpsons' and 'Family Guy' shows. 🙂

I really hope that Family Guy & The Simpsons do one more crossover.

They are rivals on the show but off the show, they are friends.

The Simpsons. I just love the chemistry between the family and the love of Homer and Marge.

Forgot the hilarious (but hidden) Seth Macfarlane and Matt Groening standing next to each other in the back of the courtroom 🤣🤣🤣

To me it has to be the time when there was a "commercial break" for the Simpsons and Quagmire ended up having sex with Marge

The Simpsons Guy was the best episode ever! I gotta say, this was awesome.

I love both shows but I'll say neither beats each other to a joke Each show gives us different types of comedy styles so the jokes are always different

The simpsons guy on its own is a great episode, especially for the weird parts like the car wash... 😂

Bonus fact: the Watch Mojo narrator explaining each crossover joke in painstaking detail, is funnier than most current episodes of the Simpsons

People say these shows are bland and dying. But I’m just glad I have a stable thing to watch for a long time.

I go for family guy for laughs, the Simpsons have some laughs (mainly Homer) but i still like to watch the Simpsons, overall i love them both equally.

Both are pretty good. I have to go with the Simpsons for the simple reason that their writers have "predicted" so many events it is crazy!

The canceled "joke" of Quagmire and Marge is number one.

Wrongly, amazingly the Simpson's was shown in hispanic television at 3:00 pm missed with children's regular cartoons for years.

Actually that scene with Stewie riding his trike is a reference to Bobby's World a character that was voiced by Howie Mandel in the 90s.

When homer got hit you know that was also from bobby's world as well

Plot twist: the thumbnail is Peter suffering from liver failure due to alcoholism

I wish they would make another crossover episode, the first was amazing!

I like both, but you cannot compare them because they have were made for different ages and different humor

Simpsons is incredibly tame, it can be enjoyed by everyone. Family Guy is much more raunchier in humor. Swearing-wise, they don't swear that much but still more than the Simpsons, yeah. Love the Simpsons and like Family Guy, but in the case of the latter, I like the older ones better.

They had a real missed opportunity with the Duff Beer VS Pawtucket Pat Beer. They could of had Peter drink and Duff and spit it out commenting on how it doesn't taste as good as it used to or that it used to taste great but now it's just crap.

People forget that the first cartoon like this was Wait till your father gets home. although it was much more distasteful it was very similar.

Another moment where family Guy made fun of The Simpsons was when Peter got drunk at the Clam (again,) and claimed all his best moments happened there. These included Maggie's first word, Bart jumping a canyon on his skateboard, and Mr. Plow.

I feel the reason a lot of us still watch both these shows (despite the “decline” in quality) is it’s a sense of comfort, like watching old friends. You don’t have to learn anything new, it’s like having comfort food and you can just off your brain.

To be fair almost all of these are family guy making fun of themselves not the simpsons, one of my favorite moments of family guy was when peter met george clooney: "Hi george clooney, second worst batman" "Peter griffin, second best homer"
