He broke Dennis Miller on his very first appearance when he showed his ass portraying Tom Arnold, prompting Miller to break character and say I just saw the new guys ass!

Farley was an absolute legend. He was a master of physical comedy and he never failed to make us laugh. There’s been so many movies we could only imagine watching him act in. He’s now living in a van down by the river up in Heaven. RIP Chris ❤

"Tommy Boy" is actually underrated. Sure it's a super funny comedy, and just a little bit of a drama, but the director/actors/writers/everybody involved really did the drama part right too. 10 out of ten, will be watching again.

Chris Farley was the first celebrity whose passing actually pissed me off. Yeah, I know it's selfish, but the guy was an absolute comedic legend, and instantly knew that I would be deprived of all of the hysterical joy that should have been coming for the next many years. I love the guy, but 26 years later I'm still pissed!

So many years later and my friends and I still cant help but reference the Van down by the river skit any time someone uses the words Van or River. It never fails one of us will pipe up with some variation of it depending on which word is said or what context its used. True legend.

Be funnier if you didn't talk over the scenes

Someone once said about a shooting star; it passes quickly, but while it's here it just lights up the whole sky - it's the most beautiful thing you'd ever want to see. So beautiful that the other stars stop and watch. That's how I'd describe Chris Farley's life.

You know what tops talented, ultra-professional, flawless comedy? Dry, meaningless, chatter in the background.

So happy to have Chris Farley's humor explained to me, I never quite got it before.

SNL should hire you to voice over all episodes, explaining every little thing to the audience, so we can all understand what is funny and why. That would make the show so much better. Like your videos,. So good. How does anyone even watch SNL without you?

Matt Foley making this list 3 times is no accident. Thank you to Bob Odenkirk for writing my favorite SNL skit of all time, and thank you to Chris for making me laugh until my stomach hurts.

The spaceship sketch when his pants fell down as he ran up the ramp and his bare ass was exposed. You can see the reaction of Deion Sanders and Jay Mohr. The whole thing was gold.

Chris made me laugh ridiculously and uncontrollably everything I saw him acting. A true legend sadly gone too soon. Big up Sir Farley!!!

I remember during the “Chris Farley Show” skit with Sir Paul McCartney he had Sir Paul almost cracking during the interview. The part that got me was when Chris asks Paul if he remembers when he was with The Beatles, to which Paul, while chuckling says “yeah, sure” Chris, then says “That’s awesome!” in a way that came across as a shy/nervous boy meeting one of his heroes. It was funny, sweet and just made me a fan of his even more. But more importantly, it was awesome! 😂 R.I.P. Chris Farley!

The one thing that the modern episodes of SNL were severely lacking would definitely have to be the slapstick, and nobody delivered it perfectly the same way as Chris Farley. May he rest forever in peace...

Scripts are necessary but the best skits are when the script goes out the window

I would have appreciated more Chris Farley and less commentation. It was frustrating at times when the narrator was speaking when Chris was muted.

@@MsMojo It's also the sketch that writer Bob Odenkirk absolutely *hated* as (in his opinion) it was nothing more than a fat joke. "Writers I knew and respected defended this sketch because it had a funnyish idea buried in it: the Chippendales judges prefer Swayze's dancing over Chris's but can't put a finger on why," Odenkirk wrote in his memoir. "But that idea is not what produced the gales of cackling (and gasps) from the live audience. Chris flopping his overstuffed body around did that. I feel like I can see it on his face in the moment when he rips his shirt off. Shame and laughter are synthesized in the worst way. F**k that sketch."

This is when SNL was SNL. It's so sad Farley died so young. He always had so much energy I was sure he was going to stroke out at anytime. He will always be missed. RIP

We will never have another legendary comedian on the same level as Chris Farley!

Chris' character of Matt Foley as the motivational speaker who lives in a van down by the river is one of my most memorable SNL skits of ALL time! The 2nd funniest for me would be the one where Chris and Swayze are doing a Chippendale's dancer audition. CLASSIC! and hilarious!

It's always funnier to have a joke covered up with a voiceover explaining how funny the joke was. Well done.

The last skit was the best - but, YOU ALL CHOPPED IT UP to the point of destroying the continuity of the humor building in the moments unseen. Should have bypassed the one not as good - and the best would have benefited.

I never get tired of watching Chris Farley's physical comedy. I swear it gets funnier every time I see an old skit. His Comedy genius is unparalleled. I think his legend will only grow with time.

I remember watching the number one bit the very night it was live. It seriously was Farley Brilliance that was legendary on every level.

there was this guy at my church who did a great Matt Foley impersonation...big guy too, so he dressed like him and would adjust his pants like him, etc. He would do it when we had talent shows and stuff, always cracked everybody up! I think my mom has a couple of them on home video.

Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney for the Chris Farley Show was one of my favorites. Do you remember when you were with the Beatles? Also, the dance competition with Patrick Swayze was unforgettable.

This would have been great without the narrative interruption every couple seconds. We get the premise, Farley makes cast members break. We didn’t need every single scene explained. Geez!

There was a Sketch of Farley and Sandler has Steroid taking weightlifters that have a call in show on a local cable tv access channel called "How Much Ya Bench" and Emilio Estevez who was the Host that Week was in the sketch too,and his brother Charlie Sheen calls into their show!, it's Freaking Hilarious!!!,Classic!!!

I heard a story about the pepper boy skit. It was the only skit Farley was in that week. Chris was pissed because he had to travel back to New York to say one line in the whole show. So he hammed it up on purpose to make a statement. Lol.

I met Chris 4th of July in Madison, Wi 1995 at the Edgewood and me and 3 others partied in his room along with Chris' sister Barb. Such a gentle giant! I have alot of memorable photos that he let us take if we promised not to sell them to the Enquirer lol RIP Chris 💜
