I remember the Idol controversies. People saying the show was rigged when Chris Daughtry was eliminated. (I mean, be real. Who even is Taylor Hicks?) Adam Lambert losing, rumoured that it was because he came out on national TV just days before the finale. That show had a lot of chaos, back in the day.

How the hell is Adam Lambert not higher up on the list????

The irony that Justin Timberlake lost on "Star Search" to a girl who dropped off the face of the earth, he's making millions of $$$$$, where Anna Narvona won but didn't become a star! Doubly ironic that Britney Spears became a household name while Marty Whats-his-face is probably working at a gas station or fast food restaurant and thinking "Oh, man! Why did I beat Britney!"

Sometimes it's other factors that the winners of competition shows don't become big names

I really think Adam Lambert should have been #1. Maybe he's not the most famous of all of them on there, but I think he's the most famous for having lost a competition. Like him losing Idol was such a major controversy at the time. Even Ryan Seacrest looks surprised and disappointed reading it lol

littlesocialjen Because most people from The Voice who lost don’t get famous or really people who win the show for that matter as well. Jordan Smith, Tessanne Chin, and Javier Colon are probably the only winners of the show that got famous. Christina Grimme could be someone they could’ve mentioned, but before she could truly rise to fame she of course was sadly murdered by a crazy super fan.

I never watch any of these "talent" shows but thank the lord a friend of me convinced me I had to watch Susan and Jackie and I was simply stunned and became huge fans of these incredibly talented women.

@@jassyjones even if you don't think she should've been #1 (which is debatable because both of them have enough reasons why one should be above the other), #4 is just way too low. britney made such an impact during her time, that ranking her #4 is almost an insult. britney should've at least been #2. people don't call her the princess of pop for no reason.

I never watched the new Mickey Mouse Club, but did know that Britney, Justin and Christina were all on it. Apparently that Disney talent scout watched a lot of Star Search. Good job you!

Well shows like Idol comes down to who can find ways to get more people to vote for them and not who's the best singer

You’d never know that the current winner of the Grammy for Album of the Year lost a reality competition. No mention of Kasey Musgraves anywhere in the video or comments. Literally the only person who won album of the year (the biggest award in music) is the one left off the list.
