To anyone who doesnt know, you can make *nearly* anyone in the game OP if you give them god tier artifacts, and right team comps. For example: Childe, who wasnt in this video for some reason, is able to do 100k plus dmg with the right team comps. Same with shogun. Team comps are everything. Using good team comps with Hu tao or Eula can give 2 million dmg.

@@oanamariaionita4713 it prolly comes down to artifacts which you shouldn’t worry too much about till at 45. Until then level a couple characters, their weapons, and their talents and attempt to raise what artifacts you already have

She is really good, her cryo sprint is unique and is also helpful for ice bridging, she can yeet enemies with her skill and her burst is best for elemental reactions

I hate mojo's list usually, but these one I understand. Big Dong Zhong and Venti pretty much enables most dps in the game it's wrong to not put them here, heck my ayaka becomes my number one dps since I had Venti but without him my ayaka falls off to my hutao and EULA

@@ejokurirulezz raiden is literally more of a dps then support, her skill is only for superconduct or electro charge or overload, and her skill buffs her ult, making her ult much stronger, so if u don’t have any superconduct or electro charge or overload, she is basically a dps

Tier lists can change each season, but I like the idea. I like most if the characters mentioned. In fact Genshin Impact most characters have likeable features, charme, and personality traits. As not mentioned here I also enjoy playing with Beydou, Yanfei, and Ningguang in my teams as well. Especially Beydou is currently my strongest melee fighter. Maybe one day Kazuha can join my team as well as a great sword-fighter. Would have loved to win Zhongli and Ganyu in the just finished banner, but in the end I am happy with winning Ganyu for my team on the last day. It is an interesting combination to use Ganyu with a water wielder like Kokomi or Mona. I like Hu Tao and if she gets a rerun I'll try to win her for my team. Her black humor is something else. Anyway, now my plan will be to be aiming/saving for the Raiden Shogun... Ayaka would also be on my wishlist, if I get the opportunity. Especially since I'll probably have to wait quite some time for Hu Tao to come again.

If you feel useless, remember, Kazuha swirled anemo slime.

That's why it's weird that they are included in "DPS" top 10 characters. If they are present, bennett xiangling and xingqiu should have a spot too lol

I have most of these characters. You named every member of my default team but my favorite pyro user: Klee! (Who was technically my second five star, as I both lost and won my first 10 pull 50/50 with Diluc, followed by Klee.) My other members are Zhongli (who replaced my Noelle), Raiden Shogun (who took Lisa's place), and I'll interchangeably use Kazuha and Venti (who took the place of the anemo Traveler on my team).

You know it's a bad list when all the top 10 "strongest characters" are 5 star characters. You know it's a even worse list when Zhongli is ranked higher as a dps than Xiao, Ayaka or even Raiden.

@@deadman3239 Raiden is exactly like Childe, she's a Sub DPS not a main one. Xingqiu, Xiangling, Kazuha and Bennett all are the reason she does so much damage. They are talking about each character individually. And Raiden alone is a A tier character.

It should be top 10 strongest dps instead of characters. Some characters like Bennett, Xingqiu, and Xianling totally deserve a spot here.

I feel like Bennett deserves more than an honorable mention… and some other characters like Fischl and Xiangling should be mentioned as well. As a F2P player without having any five stars til AR 45, those four stars were my saving grace.

out of 10, I have the 4 which is Diluc, Xiao, Ayaka, and Hu Tao.. all in C0 but all satisfied with how they are, it just so hard to get some good artifacts 😁

For everyone who hasn't played this game yet, just know that ALL the characters are awesome! They all have uses, and can all do incredible damage if you invest in them :)

True. But then there is also character that can normally buff them self for ungodly high damage. Hutao can easily hit 3k att thanks to her skill, Ganyu double shot, reduce cryo resist and even boost her own crit rate Noelle also can easily crack 3k att when bursting, while still rocking near 3k def. becoming literal god. The list goes own for most 5* On the defense front Big Daddy can make a shield that down right don’t break and protect you better than nylon poly fiber bullet vest.

Watchmojo is entirely basing this video on information on the internet. Ganyu is the "he/she's good but she's not GANYU LEVEL" bs line you hear everywhere. Ayaka and Hu Tao can outshine Ganyu when put in a decent team.

I'm not surprised about Hu Tao being so high honestly. My Hu Tao is only talent 5/6, and her highest Burst damage has been over 80K. Edit: Ganyu is #1 on the list, we'll be Ganyu havers y'all

I have Xiao and Eula as my only limited 5 star characters, but I am planning to pull for Yoimiya. Is it worth it?

So many wrong things about Kazuha. He is not the best anemo dps but Xiao. This list also said that Kazuha is better cc than Venti which is very wrong. Kazuha is one of the best characters because of his elemental shred.

"Better" in some ways. Venti is a bad support for Xiao, while Kazuha is way better. Same goes for any melee characters, I guess. Venti is very good for ranged characters, hence Morgana team.

Well no when they said that he’s a better crowd control than venti they meant that in general he is since his e is the best e crowd control ability that you can use more often while you need venti’s burst to use it + kazuha’s buff is so useful on comps

You would be surprised to learn they basically do the same dmg when built as DPS units, but Kazuha doesn't have ER problems. Kazuha is busted

The fact that Xiangling is not even on the honorable mentions. The only thing that is spot on with this list is that Ganyu is the dps that you will get the most value out of.

Ganyu isn't even the best dps in the game. Ganyu is useful in pretty much every scenario and has incredible dps, but Hu Tao does more single target and Ayaka is beating her in the Abyss as well.

@@Dylangillian you can't take Abyss into any consideration as Abyss has independent buffs that help one or another character. There is no neutral ground in the Abyss and Hu Tao has a higher Spike as c1 but a lower floor when she hasn't her conversion up. Also, which is something a lot of people forget to mention, you need to run around with her. Which is even more of a problem considering that she pushes enemies away from her. Ganyu can hit everyone and everything. No need to run around and she has much better AOE coverage together as well. The little bit of difference between c1-5 Ganyu and c1 Hu Tao is negligible for the benefits she has over almost any other DPS. Until c6, that is. At c6, she is by far the highest burst you can have since you can store 3 charged shots from her and melt all of them in quick succession. Unless we are talking about Nuke Builds with Hu Tao but I'd personally consider nuke builds as something of a joker as they require a lot of preparation and you can only use them one time until you are stuck with high cooldowns all around. They are a bit hard to get off and often don't really work that well outside of showcases

@@Dylangillian Ganyu is definitely the best because Aoe> Single target so that immediately invalidates hu Tao and Ayaka is a burst, you bring her in for ult then switch out whereas ganyu can continuously does big damage like 60k per charge by herself with Amos, plus bennet, Mona and venti easy 100k plus per charged with freeze, where as ayaka could do about 200k with that every ult so 100k every 5 secs or 200k every 15 plus set up. And xiao does good aoe with about 200k plus every plunge but ganyu again can out damage that so yea I definitely think ganyu number 1

@@Dylangillian no ganyu is still a lot better, because she is range, she can deal dmg while keeping herself safe not to mention all of her attacks are all aoe so shes amazing even if its single or multiple targets not to mention it also doesnt have a gimmic or something like hu tao who base her dmg on her hp, not to mention she is very consistent in dealing dmg which ayaka got beat. also she is very versatile because her being a cryo character which has access to one of the best reactions in the game combine that with her kit and you can either build her as a dps or a support

But it is not the same giving those artifacts and weapons to jean, diluc, venti...I don't know how to put it but let me say "the weapon isn't what makes the warrior." Something like "If you're nothing without the suit you should not have it". There are characters that does better with proper development, but there are characters that does even better.

Everyone can be good with enough investment. However better characters need less investment in order to be viable. A eula with 50% crit rate and 150% crit damage and 1500 attack will perform vastly different from a razor with the same stats.

I play Diluc as Main DPS in combination with Zhongli for shield and burst support, Raiden as Elecrodamage and burst support and Childe as sub DPS. It’s definitely not the best team you can have, but I don’t care. I play my favorite characters not for damage output, but for fun. I sometimes swap Kaeya, Ningguang or Beidou in, just because I love their characters.

This is the first time I watch watchmojo in a hot year and they are doing games now ?!

I am laughing at this Tier List without touching any Grass for a long time. Anyways thanks WatchMojo for making this Tier List! Hope you will ask us next time before you make one Ehe.

my favorite charecters are ganyu and hu tao I was honestly surprised seeing them so high up in the tiers

Hutao and ganyu are best . They only get outdpsed by EULA at c6 . But C6 is a dream for f2p

It's based on dps, if they're talking about survivability, how to stay alive, that would be big dong zhong

"Strongest" is a very vague term in a game like this. Maybe next time you could explain what your criteria was whilst creating the list. If we're talking strength in terms of damage, how was Ayaka down in 7th? I'm glad you made the video, this will most likely bring newer players in. But the video was quite confusing in the end..

indeed. they put Eula in 2nd place. ik she's strong and deals truckload of damage but what's the actual criteria of the list? if dealing dmg is the criteria then why so many supports above Ayaka? anyway appreciate their efforts at the least for introducing this game to others.

Ikr? Ayaka freeze team and Ayaka/Hu Tao combo is one of the fastest speed running team in spiral abyss. Ranking Zhongli and Venti above her is just laughable.

As a genshin player who have both Ganyu and Ayaka on main account, I would say Ayaka is stronk more than my Ganyu with her Amos bow(via perma banner).

@@kaikawasumi dps Kazuha is not better than Xiao. What are you on?? I admit, any character can deal huge dmg if you build them right with broken artifacts, weapons and right team comp and there's probably someone out there with dps Kazuha but he doesn't out dmg Xiao at equal potential. Xiao's kit is literally built as a dps and Kazuha is op in his own way as a support. But dps Kazuha > Xiao is just untrue.

Whenever I see a top ten list on watch mojo my doubts are at 1000% by default

baal isn't even in the video. if you're referring to the puppet raiden shogun created by Ei(beelzebul and not baal) (apparently you have no clue of the lore besides the chars' powers), she shouldn't even be in the list since she's a support (just an electro xingqiu). xiao is indeed mediocre as an anemo.

@@ejokurirulezz She is a support and or DPS depending on build/cons. This list is all inclusive so just because most people may not be able to have access to a viable dps shogun, doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a spot on this list

I did not except this video and I like the characters and their stories and how fun they are to play

just played this like 4-5 days ago, become lucky and got diluc on like ar16, currently at ar25, any team recommendation and tips and tricks? my current team is diluc(main dps), barbara(for heal and vaporize), bennet cuz they said bennett is a top tier support or should i replace him with xiangling when i got her? still undecided on the last character

ok so! i reccommend for every team to have a main dps(like you have), a sub dps, a healer/shield (like barbara!!), and a ranged or support.for the last character, try and find a good sub dps like xiangling, fischl, or others! make sure to learn elemental reactions within your team as well!! another tip not-team-related: don't use your fragile resin until ar45 so you can actually go farming. i ends up being very hard to earn fragile resin making farming much more difficult. the rlly good artifact domains unlock at ar45. good luck traveler!

@@harmony8583 Alright so I should keep barbara and replace bennett with xiangling for more damage (since bennett is more like a healer right and i already have barbara) and for the last character im thinking xingqiu would be great or if not lucky, other support hydro characters that can keep up to diluc for elemental reaction. Im still not leveling up my chatacters except diluc since im still undecided or is it a bad thing? cuz i might ran out of exp books if i level them all up lol. Im currently at ar28 and its getting harder and harder to get ar exp. Thanks for the tips!

@@lawd.4498 ok yes that team looks good! if you run out of exp books, there is that blue ley line you can do for exp books! ar exp does get quite hard to get, try and level up your city reputations to get the treasure compass and oculi locator to make more exploration progress! during 2.6, we expect to get a new region and new archon quest so that is also an opening for more ar exp. if you're on NA server then i can help you from time to time. :D

Can you do top genshin betrayals because there is some plot in quest

imo, all the genshin characters are incredibly powerful if you build them right and get them to the right lvl! if anyone tells you otherwise, don’t listen to them. hell if you wanna make a healer your main dps, go for it! 💕

@@severe1878 Well that's very true. But who cares? Genshin is a pve game, isn't competitive and isn't that hard. Outside of the Abyss, you can clear any content with Amber or literally anyone. And most people are casual gamers who don't do Abyss at all. It's not a difficult, stressful game so who you play doesn't matter

Bennett is a honorable mention, doesnt that reminds you of early days Genshin tier lists

It's a nice feeling to experience knowing you own almost all of the characters here in this list. Makes you feel... really strong. (I got almost everyone except for Ayaka, Xiao, Eula and Childe xD)

Bud this tierlist is hilariously wrong but yes ayaka and xiao are top 3 dps and eula is good for nuke but childe is better used to boost xianglings vaporise damage

@@rhuturajmirashi7369 Well there is no official tierlist in Genshin Impact, since strength is really subjective and it can sometimes depend on what aspect are they strong at. I'm just saying that if you have almost all of these characters, it makes you proud of yourself of having them (don't get me wrong, I also love the 4-stars as well)

@@rhuturajmirashi7369 But isn't xiao meant to be whaled on to actually do dmg as there isn't a good f2p weapon (besides blackcliff) for him. You basically need his BiS or god tier artifacts for him to do dmg that rivals characters like Ei and Ganyu

@@thehooman4705 Not really. All DPS characters except Raiden and Xiangling lack a good 4 star weapon. Raiden and Xiangling have the catch available to them. The craftables are much weaker than 5 star options. But I do disagree about Xiao in top 3. Ayaka, Hu Tao and Ganyu are the top 3 with Xiao, Eula, Xiangling and Itto competing for the positions after that. The remaining 4 are more personalized rankings rather than overall as it depends on which characters do you have left to pair with them. I see Raiden as a support and sub dps. So she is not included.

This was perfect for me since rn as im writing this there is a ganyu rerun banner and i can do a ritual to get her😆

Hu Tao’s my main and I just love her. In my team there are also Mona, Kazuha (that I switch with Bennett when needed) and Raiden. I love them all

Not a bad list overall but Shogun at number 9, she deals some of the biggest damage in the game and with her crazy energy recharge you can spam it no problem.

@@saiba726 it’s pretty easy she gets a stack every time a character uses their burst, by the time you rotate back to her she’s fully stacked and ready to go.

a c2 raiden is easily stronger than every other character other than ayaka

I agree with raider tho, she buffs and does elemental regene, and switching character will still apply electro dmg

They know everyone wants to see their favourite shiny 5 star on a list like this so that is what they did, and I understand that. Benny, Xingqiu and Xiangling are 4 stars that outperform, in terms of utility and/or damage, a great majority of 5 star characters. Do they get views though? Needless to say, don't takes this tier list seriously, it is obviously not meant to objectively categorize characters by their strength.

Yeah, her & Hu Tao are almost on par. Diluc is clearly not in Yoimiya's league. The game has passed him by as far as the top end is concerned.

yoimiya is not as ganyu, hu tao, eula and ayaka. Her burst is useless and her charged shots are not even that good. She only uses her skill and its single target. (Im not saying that she is weak. My yoimiya does pretty good damage.) I have her and she is my dps. I really love her and shes my fav but she is not that good. But she is the best for me. I dont care about damage and stuff. I really love her, she is fun. Proud yoimiya main
