That was pretty terrifying but I'd say krabby patty creature feature is even more scarying.

The PuppetMaster was beautifully done. Someone also made a point that her escape is why Katara’s mother was probably killed. After she had escaped and began blood bending, they knew they could no longer keep them prisoner safely.

It should be noted: Watership Down was *NOT* a children's film, *nor was it ever meant to be*. It was an *adult* cartoon film, and it was one of the rare few (that I know of) that was actually animated *well*.

Double Aura they built a rollercoaster and had their friends ride it. Normally it takes a long time to build a rollercoaster and they do numerous safety checks to make sure nobody gets hurt or dies so I can see why she got mad.

Guess who saw that when they were about 5 and therefore was scarred for life? Quite literally the first and last I saw of that particular show

One of the other spooky cartoon episodes would be Samurai Jack Season 3 Episode 9: Jack and the Haunted House. The atmosphere and ambiance looked like something out of a Fatal Frame game. There was a lot of creepy imagery that made my heart squeeze, and I could feel the emotions that Jack was feeling while he was encountering these disturbing scenes. I loved it, but it really scared me.

I honestly love when creepy/horror elements make it into kids entertainment. Because when done right we can get some dark but clever results. Like Return to Oz (a movie I highly recommend). Stuff like this shaped my childhood and I am happy for it.

"Chicken Little" Hilarious

No joke, I have Watership Down on DVD - found the movie through KZread and decided to get my own copy after watching it, it's one of my favorite obscure animated films. If you enjoyed it, I would recommend The Plague Dogs, same author and same director (and even a few of the same voice actors) but not quite as bloody, just disturbing and tragic. On an unrelated note, there's a German animated film from 1994 called Felidae, I'd give it a go if you ever do another list like this. I've noticed most people watch it immediately expecting it to be something like Aristocats but I should clarify that it is anything but XD Basically it starts off with some mild Don Bluth vibes then quickly delves into Silent Hill-level gore. Definitely not a good idea if you have a weak stomach but it's worth a watch if you're into dark or bizarre animation.

Jump scares are cheap scares. Then again any time something pops out wanting to scare/kill me me only response is "My body is ready. I want to die." But that is just me. The only thing scary about the Alma one to me is the fact if I am trapped in a doll I might not die.

I second that. If you don't mind books that are halfway to a doorstopper, Watership Down is amazing. Probably my favorite book of all time.

Does anyone remember the episode where when the windmill stopped dark ghosts riding skeleton horses appears it was more darker than the mask

I respect you opinion entirely, but I must ask. what About Over the Garden Wall? I don't think I've ever even seen you review it... (Absolutely Beautiful Cartoon!) But almost every episode chilled me to my core. did it not have the same effect on you?

IMO, Squidbob Tentaclepants and The Joy were both creepy and funny. But I find Spongehenge to be mysterious, creepy, and senseless.

I loved how "The Joy" would go from absolute horror, to Mr. Brown playing with a broom.

I can approve 8, as a fan of SU. Ive watched SU series (So far) at least 4 times and it still is the creepiest episode there

Disclaimer: Alma isn't actually a Pixar short. it was just made by an ex-Pixar animator. As for other suggestions, I'd probably add the MLP episodes Party of One and Lesson Zero. For similar reasons, since both of them basically revolve around a character slowly losing their mind and turning into complete psychopaths, and for pretty trivial reason (Because they think all their friends don't like them anymore in the former, and because they're desperate to find a problem to solve so she can write her assignment). And this insanity certainly leads to some creepy imagery, and in Lesson Zero, some definite "I need an adult/ I AM an adult!" moments.

The fact that you used *the* Miracle Matter remix brings joy to me.

9:11 now thats creepier than all the ones on the list.

I haven't even watched the video yet, but if the blood bending episode from avatar the last airbender isn't on this list I will be seriously be displeased XD

I've been seeing some people saying that.

Oh god, first time i saw "The Great Fusili" as a kid, i couldn't sleep all night, and i started hearing that laugh track when morning came.

I like some of these spooky animations. Gravity Falls and Steven Universe have episodes that are really creepy and with good animation. Some episodes of Steven Universe that are really scary are the episode where Steven became a mass of cats, the episode where he and Peridot went to stop the Cluster from destroying Earth, and the episode where Steven is stuck with a murderous Ruby in space.

The last one was depressing, not spooky. I thought of the episode, where Ronaldo invites Steven, Sadie and Lars to a horror movie party, and Sadie gets all of sudden eaten alive.

Steven the Sword Fighter was the creepiest for me, Pearl getting stabbed, Steven begins hanging out with her attacker which is basically a clone of herself, then the clone cuts Pearls favorite tree down and starts attacking Steven. It also has one of my favorite lines in Steven Universe... *I got hit by an airplane!*

The creepiest one for me was definitely Rose's Room.

Fear Itself from Teen Titans was pretty terrifying. At least the second half of the episode.

There's a British kids cartoon called Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids. You SHOULD have included this series. It's pretty much Tales From The Crypt if it was English, animated, and aimed at younger audiences. I think it probably would have tied with Courage in terms of its position.

+Pete Hill I loved that series as a kid! I remember that episode where the boy steals a bag or something, gets a bunch of price tags stitched to him and then gets them replaced with a bunch of pus-filled spots disturbed and disgusted me when I was little.

Ooo that Miracle Matter Remix gives me nostalgia, I always listened to that remix when I was little

Me: "These all seem pretty tame, to be honest." #4 comes on: "Oh dear sweet lord above..."

I'd also add 'Ludo in the Wild' from Star vs the Forces of Evil. The show is usually a very action-packed, humorous, witty, relatively lighthearted fantasy show, until Toffee came along and things started to get serious. And in this episode, where we see what happened to Ludo after his castle was destroyed, we learn that he spent days floating through nothingness before finding himself alone and forced to fend for himself in the wilderness. And as the days go on and he begins to gain control of things, even gaining a few wild animals as minions, we see it's clearly taking a toll on his mind, to the point where he ends up chasing a hallucination of Star until he comes across what appears to be a magic wand made of a severed skeletal hand gripping a gemstone. The whole episode is scored by weird, creepy ambient music, the likes of which you might hear in a dungeon or cave in Minecraft or something. It really gives the whole thing a very unsettling atmosphere.

Honestly for me. The Courage the Cowardly Dog episode that scared me as a kid was the one about the Windmill zombies. The music, the atmosphere, the design of the zombies.

Rose's Room from Steven Universe creeped me out, especially the scene where parts of the town created by the room just disappear. It's like some creepy, glitchy old game.

Actually, I heard PPG VS TTG wasn't that bad. Better than the normal TTG or PPG2016 episode, i think. (I dont think TTG is all that horrible tho)

I rember whe I watched Alma when I was in year 5 it really creeped me out. Even soo I am some what excited to see Dreamworks do a full movie based of this short as I'm curious to see more.

The Adventure Time Episode - The Creeps, specially in the ending also that Dexter's Laboratory episode with the ghostly gold fish and the Johnny Bravo one, with that creepy nurse man.

I actually think the most disturbing was the Lich episode though I would give Lemonhope the runnerup. Because for once you saw Finn truly helpless and unable to save the people he cares about. This was even more disturbing considering the Lich ended up wearing Billy's skin in order to trick Finn. Not only that but he actually succeeded in destroying all life and Jake had to make a wish to Prismo in order to reverse what the Lich had done. So we have a ghost wearing a dead guy as a suit and he even possesses princess bubblegum and nearly kills Finn on more than one occasion.

I remember reading watership down at school and I thought it was so beautiful but the animated version.....goodness! My teacher said he was gonna show it in class but then he watched it by himself and we didn’t get to watch it in class😂
