@@lorynmoore I saw them last in Aug of 2019. I’m excited to go with one of my friends that has never seen them live. I’ve been lucky enough to see them a couple of times over the years!

No surprise that I Want It That Way from Backstreet Boys is #1, but there are some songs from the early 90s that I still memorize and…dude I am getting old, and still love hearing those songs.

Well, there's a classic from 1981's Halloween 2 that always comes to mind. "Mr. Sandman". It was covered by Nan Vernon for 2007's Halloween.

I used to feel the same way until I discovered BTS. But to be honest BTS is bigger than the boy band label that so many put on them.

I listen to boy bands of each genre, differnt countries, differnt eras and different nationalities. And I don’t feel an ounce of shame🤧

My boyband phase was during the N'SYNC - BSB era of the late 90s - early 2000s. I would still revisit it every once in a while.

It’s not just a phase for me. Until now, these boy band songs are part of my playlist. And almost all the songs on this list are part of them 😉

Does anyone else remember waiting up after the ABC premiere of Camp rock to see the video for Burnin' up? I was only like sixteen and I begged my parents to let me and they did! I was so excited.😂

The 2 girls I used to babysit for did exactly the same thing! One was 12, the other 14 and of course I let them. I made coke floats & we had a great time! 😀😀😀😀

Phase? I still rock my boy band music. I grew up in the 90s, the prime time to get into the music. I have BSB, NSync, Take That, Westlife, Blue, Boyzone, O-Town, Five, and 98 Degrees are still in heavy rotation in my music collection! I will never let them go!

I agree that all of these were some great boy bands and songs. I just wish that my hometown boy band would have been included. The band was called Dru Hill and they put out some amazing songs back in the 90’s-early 2000’s.

For me it was Larger Than Life and Everybody, both by the Backstreet Boys. A classmate of mine in elementary school was in a group who sang Larger Than Life in a talent show and Philip was the star!

“All or Nothing” was the first song I slow danced to with a guy in middle school! I still listen to a lot of these songs!

I'm still in my boyband phase and I'm not leaving it behind

I was a massive Backstreet Boys fan!

I was a big boyband fan in my teenage years, mostly Westlife and Blue, but listened to a lot of songs from other boybands too. I think the biggest boyband song for me, when I was a teenager, was World Of Our Own by Westlife. Now I still like boyband songs and listen to many now and again.

If you were/are a fan of Westlife & Blue, you must be from Europe. Being from the US, I didn't learn about Blue, Westlife, US5, etc. until I visited Europe for vacation & heard Maria by US5. Then I started looking them up & found others like JLS and The Wanted.

I never really fallowed boy bands, I just really loved the music. You ask me to name a single band or band member in said band I couldn't tell you. The only reason I know some of them is because their names are memes now or they went on to become famous separately Accept of course for the Jonas Brothers. But that's because they were on Disney Channel growing up so

Seriously... the mention of "I want it that way" on Brooklyn 99 but no Ryan Reynolds singing "I swear" in Just Friends!?!?! It's just so funny or even Minions singing it at the end of the second Despicable Me movie. Seriously this tune is so iconic it is still used in pop culture today. It should have been higher!!!

The Backstreet Boys. The fact they're still going strong and don't hate each other proves they're the best boyband of all time.

@@Witch_Bitch86 I know but I would still say the Beatles are the biggest boy band of all time over BSB and I'm saying that even though I like Backstreet Boys music more than the Beatles. I mean the Beatles broke up 50 years ago and their music is still very popular to this day. I don't think you can judge who was the best by who's been together the longest, that's all.

All 4 One and John Michael Montgomery did a remix together and it's even better than ever.

Jordan being the “lead” singer is my trigger. It reminds me of the album he did where he was the only one singing all the hits. I forgave him after he said it was the label that made him make that record.

Did anyone else catch the "late" singer Jordan knight??? Ummmmm....he's still alive! Someone made a typo in the script or something! I'm glad 5ive and 98 degrees at least got an honorable mention! There's a couple more that didn't get mentioned but they weren't as big as these ones! I still would have went with "Everybody" from bsb! But I'm forever a bsb girl! For life!

I did. When she said that I immediately paused the video, said "WHAT!!!!!! Jordan's dead. When????" I then Googled it and saw he still alive. That was confusing for a sec.

It's not a phase its life! Rightfully my boys are number 1 the Backstreet Boys have been still entertaining us for almost 30 years now not many boy bands can say that and us fans cant get enough I went to a concert last month in mountain view that was everything and was a sold out show too greatest boy band ever I love them! 💜

I confess I was a bit slow to get into the boy band craze, but my favorites were Backstreet Boys, Nsync, 98 degrees and bbmak. I'm not as nuts about them as before, but I still like them.

I actually had a short boy band phase relapse just because of the PIXAR movie Turning Red in its 2002 time setting and the band 4TOWN I loved the songs from them even if there weren't many

I grew up in the 80s so it was new kids but my little sisters grew up in the 90s so I had to listen to bsb and nsync 😂

Im.not surprised BSB be #1. The are amazing, I'm so glad I've been able to see them live 4 times.

I was in middle school for Hanson, Nsync, and the Backstreet Boys. Then I went thru a belated NKOTB phase in college. And then I couldn’t help but get hooked on One Direction. Boy bands 4 life, I guess 😂 I was at my job at a school recently and overheard the whole 8th grade burst into I Want it That Way. Made my heart so happy!

I was never into boy bands my self, but I did enjoy and still enjoy all of these hits :D

I’m glad to see that you’ve included New Edition to this list. They are the format for all the others on the list that comprise the modern boy band era. And, they are still going strong despite many setbacks.

My daughter's had boy band phase one liked Backstreet Boys the other one liked NSYNC so that was a fun teenage phase to live thru as a mom

New Kids on the Block was my boy band go to. There used to be posters of them plastered on my bedroom wall and I had a massive crush on Jon Knight 😊

Westlife never had a single hit in North America. I can understand why Watchmojo (a Canadian KZread Channel) doesn't have them listed here. I know they are big in the UK.

​@@Miist3rDuce1 Westlife is only popular in UK and other parts of Asia only. Outside of these two, they are not so successful in other parts of the world including US. Also, they almost always revive or just do covers of other songs. Their original song were not so successful and forgettable.

Is anyone surprised Backstreet Boys is no.1 ? They could have easily have 5 songs on the list .

NSYNC was my life!! I listened to BSB as well, but my walls were covered in NSYNC and Lance Bass posters. Saw them twice and still have the songs on frequent rotation in my music.

I still love boy bands! 1) my fav Jonas brothers song :) 2) I loved o Town and loved this song, even though the music was the same as a backstreet boys song 3) never heard of it or them 4) vaguely remember the song, but not the band 5) one of my fav bands back in the 90s. This song was played on the radio soooo many times 6) looooved! Even learned the dance 7) too old to be a one direction fan, but I do love this song 8) I don't remember the band that much, but only recently heard the song and I quite like it 9) these were more like my mums fav band but I do enjoy the song 10) yeeess! Will always love backstreet boys, nicks smile in that video is just perfection ❤️

You assume my 51 year-old self wasn’t listening to Backstreet Boys the other day. BSB, N’Sync, BoysIIMen, BBD, and New Edition stay on heavy rotation as of 2022!

You’d be shocked at how many country songs would actually make fantastic R&B remakes. But man, I haven’t listened to Take That in over a decade. This list has officially made me feel like an old woman. I knew every single song and all the words to each one. But tell me why I can remember the lyrics to a song I haven’t listened to in well over 15 years but can’t remember a single word to a song that came out this year that I’ve heard repeatedly on Spotify.

Too bad it didn’t make the list, but my favorite boy band song is Larger Than Life, and still is up to this day.

I have to remember that this is a US based list. Some of the boy bands I was expecting are only popular on Asia and Europe, not in US.

US is the top 1 music market. And Take That, One Direction are not US based. Boybands like Westlife is not popular outside UK and other parts of Asia like Southeast Asia. They also just almost do cover of great songs and had forgettable and not-so-successful original songs. Sorry.

Take That was never really successful in the US. "Back For Good" was their only song that charted in America back in the Fall of 1995.

My favorite New Edition song is Cool it now. I’m a 90’s kid so I grew up with Backstreet Boys and NSYNC!

Westlife is not so great. Most of their songs are just covers of other songs.

The JMM version of I swear was country all the way. We who love country loved that version, BUT All-4-ones version of I Swear is soooo freaking soulful, and as I said I am country down to my soul and I loved their version. JMO

New Edition!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ One member of Boyz II Men described "End of the Road" as a breakup song but also a drinking song, since they always see a lot of drunk guys wrapping their arms around each other and singing (drunkenly) at the top of their lungs. 😊

The Backstreet Boys isn’t a phase. I can’t wait for tonight’s concert.

I don’t know if anybody cares but I saw the BSB tonight in Saratoga Springs tonight 😍 and even tho I was (I’m pretty sure) the only 19 y/o there🤣 but I don’t care 🤣😭 it was wonderful 😍😩

I listened to all the groups on this list growing up and still listen to these songs now. And now I love BTS music. I don't like calling myself a boy band fan, I just like good music that happen to come from boy bands. Being a fan of boy bands doesn't have to be a phase because music is supposed to be timeless.
