I miss the days when American currency differed. Like there were many different types, Silver certificates, gold certificates, legal tender notes, national bank notes, etc. And they had cool unique designs on them. nowadays while still unique, don't hit the same as the pre-1995 and back.

While you may call this a must have for small bills collectors, you have several that are way out of my price range. I have 1 $50 bill that is a national currency and I have a $100 dollar bill that I have just because it is an older version. But $500,& $1000 dollar bill are way out for me to even tie up that much money is just too rich for my blood. I really have to go through my currency and inventory exactly what I have as basically if I see something I like and it’s the right price I will get it and just put with the rest of my money.

I never quite caught the subtle differences between the federal reserve and national notes before 🤯 and how they were numbered.

Small size paper currency was first proposed by US treasury secretary Franklin MacVeagh in 1909.WW1 caused the part of the 20 year delay. Although dated 1928,they were finally introduced on June 30,1929.

Interesting. I know series doesn't imply the actual year but considering there is a large size 1917 series, I wonder how that went down.

Ha! Collective Gene. I have had this since the 90’s when I was into baseball cards. That market crashed. I wish I would have started currency back then!

If you are talking about ebay, they have an entire catagory for nationals. Coins an paper money< U.S. Currency< National bank notes. If you are searching terms, try national currency.

I know! They put out a new price guide while prices are still rising. People waited for years for the updated book an it’s out of date before it’s shipped.

Hello I have a $10 bill looks like a error of ink numbers or a serial number that runs across the face of the president. I received it from some that likes to collect currency. If you look close with a magnifying glass looks like the numbers are embedded in the money. Just wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks in advance

Is the KC block note rare because it’s from Washington DC? The production tables list 00000001 to 19200000 printed at DC with production resuming with 19200001 to 96000000 in Fort Worth.

Yes. The Washington note is the one listed at that price. Some collectors try to put together each block. There is nothing special about this particular block so there is nothing to differentiate it from any other note, like a star note for example. Considering that the lifespan of a single is around 7 months and this short print isn’t known, it’s quite difficult to find.

@@Stuplubakcurrency Cool, check your order for the delivery date and to make sure it wasnt cancelled such as not replying when they notify you of a delay on eta of delivery. Since there are actually some also shown in stock that can be ordered regardless, I assume they were able to fulfill all those that were already ordered now.
