@@swavyW no, it is very different, the real world economy is so large that there are very few items with a large demand and tiny supply. Billionaires store their money in stocks/shares/real estate/ other assets. All this is very easy to liquidate if need be and serves a purpose in life. Collectors items like skins hold no value as they can never be sold due to them being so valuable if that makes sense. They serve no purpos This means it is money spent but no returns as you never see the investment pay off as it continuously rises but people never sell. It is hard to explain but what I’m getting at is that skins are so valuable they become invaluable and therefore worthless as they will never be sold. Whereas billionaires have assets that are valuable but are constantly sold to earn more money and aren’t exotic per se. Billionaires will actually sell their stocks and invest in other things. They are easy to liquidate. Whereas your logic is that you will never sell meaning they are worthless. There is also the issue that you have such a collection that no player in the game can afford them also making them worthless

I don't think he'll be doing that, since those are pretty straight forward. There's not many skins or exotics on most ironman profiles, only the ones they bought for their own use, so they'd also be applied and they can't be sold, so they're basically worthless on ironman

Yo, remember that Dudiee guy? He used to scam people and scammed me last August with this Celeste dye thing. He and his buddies convinced me that their skin was worth way more than it was. Swavy can check his DMs from last August to see what I'm talking about. I wanted him to be the middleman for the Celeste dye sale because they told me it was worth 16b, and I gave them items worth around 12b at the time. He even agreed to be the middleman and put it through the Auction House so the value of bots would go up, and he offered to pay the fees. He might have seen the screenshots I sent him about Dudiee and his friends. In the end, Dudiee said he didn't scam me, but he never gave me back the items for the Celeste dye and offered 2b to repurchase it.

The hype around this "unapplied black sheep skin" is nothing but market manipulation and speculation. This limited and rareness of the item doesn't automatically mean valuable. Just because a few people are willing to overpay for it doesn't make it worth anything substantial.

Tulip mania was price appreciation for something that in theory has an unlimited supply - not the same thing. Inflation is only seen in rare cosmetic collectibles and thankfully not in items that actually used by the general playerbase. Hyperions, gear and talisman are all generally very stable. Whether a black sheep is 4b or 80b it has no impact on the average player.
