@@KevinTalbotTV Thanks Kevin, that's decided it. Will get the MT10. I'm just looking to get back into having an RC truck since having nitros in early 2000s, and just want something not crazy expensive and durable. It won't be taking a pounding either like you test them out, so should be ideal lol. The only thing no one can seem to answer me on is if the MT10 is okay to run through puddles etc. It's noted as water resistant, where as other models show waterproof. Don't want to write it off in the first 5 minutes. Your vids are great and it's your fault I want to buy one haha

My brother bought his 6 year old son a Bigfoot this summer. SO many hours of entertainment he got out of that thing with only one minor cheap breakage. I made him an adjustable ramp and it works great!

Nice video and good tips. I would take all of them because the hobby is just awesome. Bashing is fun with the kid and crawling when you're alone. For beginners, my pick is the Arrma Granite 3s - incredibly stable and powerful🔥🔥🔥

I would say Arrma Big Rock 3s is a nice (maybe even best?) alternative to MT10. Was surprised he didn't mention it when he was comparing MT10 to all the other similar cars.

I bought a slash 4x4 and I love it it’s amazing but I had a very bad crash recently going about 50 miles an hour into a pile of logs and I have about 100 dollars of damage but you know other than that it’s a 10/10 car

Great video. I used to work at a Canadian Tire store in the shop changing tires and doing oil changes. Two things used to happen right after Christmas. First, everybody was out of money from the holidays and the shop was real slow. Second, the store side of things would discount everything heavily. So the guys from the shop would go buy the toy grade R/C's that were on sale, and most would spend no more than 50 dollars Canadian. We would load up on batteries and have an absolute laugh running them on the shop floor. The fun thing at the time is they only had a couple frequencies so one guy would turn his radio on and goof with someone with the same frequency car.

No tears…but I love the Maxx (“mini”). Even better jazzercised on 6S 🤘

Tip for the arrma 6 s users. Keep it as light as possible. 5000 ma/h battery. Every upgrade creates a metal to plastic connection. I prefer all the stock configurations, just make sure your drewp screws are set, and if you take a bad hit, look it over so as to not have a lose screw that could have been replaced before destroying the tail or the servo etc. Put a new servo in it when you can handle it on 6 s. The steering is fine for 4 s or tame 6 s running. Outcast being the most stout for bashing, but the tail wing is a weak spot. Upgrade the tail wing to a tbone or rpm skid wheelie bar.

I enjoy watching and getting my RC fix from your vids ever since I was taken off work for medical reasons and had to sell off my RCS for bills and living expenses, I never bashed as hard as you kev but if I am ever able to get back into the hobby it's good to know what RCS are durable thanks to your vids.

That USA 1 with .21 nitro was the baddest out there back in the 90s. Well tuned and zippy

My nitro T-Maxx with the O.S. carb and O.S. tuned pipe is Gold 🥇 Love my electrics though, definitely easy.

I’ve owned an xmaxx, maxx, slash, stampede 4x4, e revo, rustler, granite, infraction, outcast 8s EXB and a Kraton 6s EXB. My favorite definetly the Arrma 6s platform. Handles like a dream not only on the ground but in the air as well. And like kev said, with some tweaks they are tough as nails. I just built myself a Kraton XL/fireteam and can’t wait to run it

I respect these types of videos. Kevin has so many cars, beats the snot out of them and is pretty clear about why he likes each one.

Id also like to see a video on you ranking rc motors and esc as well as other parts. You have years of experience plus you are always experimenting with so many different brands and combos you have alot better overall knowledge than the average joe

Cool video Kev, There are some of your favorite RC's that are on my favorite list like the X-Maxx and the Infraction 6s V2. My top 10 favorites so far this year are the X-Maxx, 5ive T, Slash 4x4 Platinum\Ultimate, XO-1, Infraction 6s, Sledge, Hoss, Vendetta 3s, B74.1, Slash 2wd VXL. Nice to hear your top 10's can't wait to see what next year brings in.

So I have an XMaxx and love it. For variety I got a Typhon 3s a few months ago. I also have a hybrid of a rustler/slash with a Baja body. Still really enjoy 3s. I also have a few Tamiya shelf queens, Lunchbox, Grasshopper etc. Different cars for different occasions. Yes the XMaxx is my favourite but they all put a smile on my face.

Sledge comment: I'm a big Arrma fan. I have 20+ high-end RC cars with all the upgrades on all of them.... except the Sledge. It doesn't actually need much. Right out of the box, the thing is great. I've been hard on it and everything has held up very well.

I know you don't like being a party pooper, but a video idea that could be fun... A list of your top 10 worst RC cars with a good and bad point about each.

@@jacksonburch487 I I know I love my slash 4x4 cause it really just goes every where I go and just super fun I've put mine through hell but no actual frame or body damage really has been done just electronic brushless esc went out super reliable super surprised it's not on there

I remember seeing Traxxas ads in Radio Control Car magazines for the first time in the very early 90s. They didn’t have much market share then. It was a battle between Associated and Losi for the most part, with Kyosho practically owning the 4WD and 1/8 market.

Because I've had a Absima AMT2.4 Brushless and it's not durable at all. Also the reciever's range is very poor. I would love to see a video about some Absima RC cars. Keep on rocking sir! I lit up when you said the HPI savage is one of your favorites. I still have my original 20-ish year old Savage 21. Got it as a kid and brought it back to life in 2020 with new motor and electronics. Still my favorite to play with even over my Arrma Fireteam. Great vid!

I love your vids and enthusiasm but let’s be honest 5T 2.0 tuned pipe in standard form , one of the best Rc cars ever , drive all day , no battery issues and an absolute beast and with the sound to go with it , no I need more lipo nonsense , oh yeah 😊

I think Team Associated started putting stronger arms in on more recent cars. Either that or I've gotten really lucky cause I've had some pretty big wrecks. Definitely from higher and faster than the one that broke it in the clip. Full speed on a BMX track and practicing front flips over the humps led to a lot of crashes and it took it no problem.

My personal likes from your vid are the MT10 and the Infraction. Loved the speed of Infraction and how much grief the MT10 took

My favorites in my collection are as follows from most favorite on down. 5ive T, Super Rock Rey, Proboat Zelos, Losi 3XLE (which is no longer produced and hasnt been for a long time), and the last one is the Losi 1/10 Rock Rey (which is also no longer made). I have many others, but those are the ones i wont ever get rid of.

Thanks for the video, and thanks for all your input on rc cars. On a different note, I suggest that you get yourself a goblin raw 420 heli, biggest direct drive motor that eliminates the use of several gears, it's light super quiet and so much power, also price is a little more reasonable than the 600 or 700 class helicopter. I think it would be a great gift for yourself.

So am I I bought one after all his videos talking about how great it is and I love it I just fixed it today and I am going to drive it tomorrow it’s an amazing car and maybe in a few years if I have the money I will buy the Xmaxx but I don’t know the cart also looks super cool

The Sledge is pretty ridiculously durable in my experience. No upgrades needed, aside from the tires as they do like to come off the rim.

Thank God for Kevin's over the top bashing videos . I'm only concerned about my smile .

10:26 I worked in a cabinet shop and the first week I was there I saw a rack of trim routers and full sized routers. "why so many"? Each is set up for round over, chamfer, flush cut, template etc. "it takes about 30 minutes to change over a bit and set it up, do that twice or three times and it's paid for the router" so now whenever I need to flush trim, I just grab the one with the flush trim bit. It worked so well when I opened my own shop I had the same. Whenever I saw one at a garage sale or whatever, I bought one. I had 14 at one point. As for drills: I have 6 now. Why? Have one in my paint area for mixing paint, a small one for tiny drill bits, an ugga dugga for screwdriving, one in my cnc area for attaching things to the spoiler board. Why not? Saves me having to walk back and forth across the shop a dozen times a day. PLUS? A kit with 2 batteries and charger is the same price as 2 batteries. If you keep your eyes open when you're out and about you see them on deep discounts when that model gets discontinued. I was going through home depot and saw a stack of bosch drills: $59.99 CDN. 2 batteries charger and drill. I bought 3...the batteries alone sell for $129,99. I got back to the job site and sold 2 for $80.00 each.

Kev it’s funny how you say the suspension on the UDR looks super realistic. The thing is it is very realistic but I know what you mean lol so don’t get offended I’m just putting my two cents in. It’s very realistic to an RC truck and it resembles the real trucks very closely. I love your channel dude you’re so cool and easy going and you seem to be very genuine. I wish I could go to England and meet you one day.
