This is the first of your videos, but I plan to subscribe and watch them all. I noticed you have hard back seats, that might be worth mentioning as in the USA people are buying a set for $7,000! Fortunately my speed yellow 1996 Carrera coupe, was ordered with hardback seats, rear windshield wiper, rear seat delete, sunroof & cup-two 17 inch wheels.

Love the door sound. Actually recorded it and made it my ring tone. Wanted the S and missed one by a week that was out of state. When a 4s came up locally I jumped on it. My first AWD car. Corners like it's on rails even before I redid the entire suspension. Not fast, not slow, perfect for reving out the gears when you want without going to jail within a few seconds. It's fun to drive and love the driving experience. The only air cooled 911 model that has an AC that actually works well enough. If you watch other videos most owners have window down and sweating.

You’ve pretty much summed up the whole experience right there. 😃 My aircon has always worked well; same with the heating. I have heard with some it is hit and miss. Regarding the suspension, TBH mine was always light on the front but this changed drastically flowing the suspension rebuild/ upgrade. Keep watching, more great content to come. 👍😊

Appreciate it. Yes, for some reason Porsche “cheaped out” on the indicators all the way up until they did something about it with the 992. The 997 is a great car, visually much alike to the 993.

Not really true that they made the body wider to make room for the all wheel drive! The Carreras are always rear wheel drive and the 4 wheel drive does not need more space between the wheels, just look at the Carrera 4, Narrow body and four wheel drive! Still a nice video!

I did some more research following the video and interestingly in ‘96-‘97 due to a slump in sales, Porsche decided to offer ‘special edition’ S. editions of the 993 implementing the surplus widebody shells from the turbo. Hence the Carrera S and 4S were born. 👍😊

How many right hand drive Carrera S were made worldwide?

The quirks of the 993 are steeped in the history of the development of the 911 therefore with one you get the other. 😊
