Hi, Maria. I haven't really worn fragrance in years, not since I quit my real estate career in the early 2000's and moved to the mountains to homestead, but that changed recently. I have kept a bottle of Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds Lustre on the dresser for a few years now, occasionally spritzed myself with that one, but I raise rare breed chickens, often pick them up, and they are adversely affected by aromatics so I never really looked for another. A couple of weeks ago, I pulled one of those paper samples out of a magazine I was sent by accident, Coco Mademoiselle, and I loved it. I cannot afford that type fragrance so I went on a search for a dupe, which led me to both Armaf Club de Nuit Woman as well as Sofia. It was quite the rabbit hole! That led me to few channels, including yours. You are so fun! This is my secondary wig review channel-my main one is dedicated to homesteading and frugal living so you can imagine my sticker shock when I began looking for new fragrances! I ordered a small bottle of Love by Sofia from Ebay and it's on the way, all three blind buys. So far, I'm two for two on success, hope I love the Love, but I'm looking for a clean out of the shower fresh fragrance that I can wear daily, that won't choke my poor sweet chickens, LOL. Will continue watching your channel, always enjoyable! (I see you have a video about hair loss. I absolutely live for your descriptions. As an avid reader I often visualize scenes as I read about them and now I find myself doing the same for fragrances. I’d have to say I have a top ten for any given week because I’d I smell something that really catches me at any given moment then that’s that!

So I only got Sofia and Coco! Glad I didn't wager any moolah on it, ha, ha. Loved listening to the various scenarios for each fragrance, esp the one with Clark Gable, lol. 😂 For myself, the top 3 for spring and summer frags were a recent bday haul. The first is Loubirouge, the epitomy of femininity. There's lots of powdery iris and gentle clouds of vanillic goodness. Next would be Xerjoff Blue Hope, the best damn gourmand creamsicle you could ever want to slurp, and finally the latest little beauty, MFK's Amyris Femme Extrait, another feminine love, yet to arrive. I'd deem her the queen of fruity white florals, having made my eyes roll back in my head. Love your reviews Maria, they always brighten my day! 💜 Deb

Alien Essence Absolue sounds absolutely delicious. I love the original. A bit sad that I missed out on the Absolue 🥺. Hopefully they'll rerelease it at some point. x

Hi Maria! Top three for moi includes; TABU by DANA, my first earliest introduction to "l love fragrances!". I don't wear nearly as often as I used to (not migraine friendly). JESSICA McClintock is second..........a timeless clean scent that is so affordable; a great pick for someone just starting their perfume journey. Last would be BURBERRY LONDON FOR HER. I NEVER tire wearing this.

I love how JPG La Belle has this hint of airy-smokiness, which reminds me of a woman I knew who smoked 2 packs a day and smelled like OG Poison by Dior back in the early 90s. She smelled like a sexy badass boss and she WAS one! I save La Belle for days when I want to feel like a femme fatale. The atomizer is a beast on it and it’s so easy to go through a lot of it with just a few sprays.

@@mariacollettlife If you've ever smelt D&G's Pour Femme Intense(has to be the intense version) then it's very similar. Italiano Donna has just a bit more bubblegum marshmallow imo. I go for it because of that and obviously the much cheaper price tag is a plus. ;) Love either.

Unfortunately most Tom Ford fragrances performance does not last for the price! I need to try Ellie Saab, my Aunt used to wear sublime. I do not like Coco mademoiselle at all, something in it makes me nauseous, just like Angel. I really love how you describe each fragrance with a mood/scene, thought I was the only one. ❤ ❣

I can not pick a top ten, there are way too many contenders for me. Some that would likely make the list are; an Alien, probably Alien Essence Absolu, but there are others that are strong favourites. Narciso EDP has been a favourite since I bought it a few years ago. Delina Exclusif, TF Tobacco Vanille, Amouage Sunshine, V&R Dancing Roses and one from the Hermes Eau Des Merveilles line would make my short list. Oh no I just remembered I didn't mention MMM Lipstick On, YSL Manifesto, Zoologist Bee or any from the Maison Lancome line. I think I need a top 100 list, that I might be able to do.

I am SO happy to see so many designer fragrances in your “ top 10 for life”. I have smelled and tested SO MANY niche scents…… and I feel like influencers tricked and even lied to us. Most of the niche scents are HORRIBLE. I have a funny feeling niche houses are sending perfumes to reviewers/ influencers with a wink-wink that they will get a great review. The we believe them,blind buy, ( because we don’t have a way to preview) and realize we were tricked. THANK YOU for being honest and admitting that designer fragrances ARE good.

Well niche is tricky. Part of it is the experience and the luxury. Some people really enjoy that. There are also very unique niche fragrances that are so beautiful such as Delina. Sometimes the quality of ingredients factor in as well. There is also the aspect of “olfactory art” where it’s more about the artistry than wearing the fragrance. I agree that it’s easy for creators to be swayed when they receive product. I think though that most try to stay objective but are “diplomatic “ when they don’t like something. Overall, I have to REALLY love it if I’m going to shell out more than $200 on a fragrance. I haven’t loved too many enough to do that yet….even though they are beautiful. If my budget was a bit more flexible that may change. For the most part though, I LOVE DESIGNER PERFUMES!! I guess part of it as well is that I want my content to be accessible to many women regardless of the budget. That’s really important to me. At the end of the day, I’m more about the women than the perfumes and I don’t was to forget that 💕💕💕

I also have trussardi Donna. I smell flowers and citrus (lime, not lemon)

Beachy sun tan smelling perfumes are my favorite smells. I own all of the popular ones except Terrecotta. I hesitated bc people say its has no lasting power. And u know how I am. What's ur take on the performance..thx!

Performance is mediocre. Like it lasts on me for about 5/6 hours…definitely better than eau de soleil Blanc!! What are your faves…I want to get a few for summer!!

I would bet on Coco Mad, La Belle, L’Interdit, Terracota and Trussardi Donna.

@@kara8911 mad madame is a dark and sexy rose + patchouli + amber + animalic musk scent. It’s not for everyone so I highly recommend sampling first. It’s probably a combo that’s been done a lot in niche fragrances, but it’s soooooo good.

Well the first few are NO BRAINERS!!! 🤣

l own Guerlain Terracotta but l don't understand the hype... When l wear it l am self conscious that l might smell bad for some reason... Maybe it is my own perception. l still hold on to it in case one day it will open up on me like magic. : ) If not, l will use it up as a bubble bath scent (spritz it in the water).

@@mariacollettlife You are right! I feel somewhat dirty, oily and sweaty wearing it! LOL! Must be indolic jasmine that gives this unique buttery aspect... but in the best possible way. 😂
