Here in America you have to be half crazy to eat food from convenience stores, when I visited Kyoto and Osaka I was extremely surprised of the quality of their food for such little price, another great video 👍

Many other Asian countries have much more food in convenience stores compared to convenience stores from other areas, though Japan is still at the top.

"Half crazy", not "whole" haha... Love your sense of humor ! And yes, I wouldn't care less about food at those places in the U.S, you eat it for survival haha... Sometimes I rather die than eat those honestly haha...
Maiko’s amazing ability to converse from Japanese to mix-kine to English within milliseconds is so cool when she is presenting her parts...always “itadakimasu” ✨🤙🏼✨ (both of you make such a great combination when reviewing foods...always sincere & always uninhibited reactions...)

Thanks. I was wondering what she was saying.
As a paramedic in America, this makes me so jealous that your convenience stores sell.... Food. The closest thing to food in a gas station here is over salted sunflower seeds and a banana. And no healthy drinks other than coffee and water. Are these kinds of convenience store usually open through the night?

If I'm not mistaken the word Pan in japanese came from the Portuguese "pão" which was probably "pan" back in the 1500s. Just reminding that the Portuguese were the first europeans to come in contact with Japan, that's why I think it's from them and not from Spanish.

it’s pronounced almost the same way in french, but spelled as “pain”. must be the latin roots!
Thank you for another great video! What I like most about you, Paolo and Maiko, is your positive attitude to everything even when you don't really like them, and being honest with us about it. You guys are someone I would've liked to meet in high school and keep in touch through my life. ^^

I am going to Japan for 3 weeks soon and was panicking after your video about finishing a restaurant meal and no doggy bags. Then I found this lifesaver. Hallelujah! I thought I was gonna starve. I'll be living on fried chicken and carbonara now, with a healthy dose of ramen. I wish you could know how relieved I am! All my thanks...you just made me very happy.
Tried chicken kaarage for the first time today and I looooved it!!!
That pop sound when he bit the top off the fried chicken😂😂😂 the sound of a TRUE fried chicken lover. You strip it to the bare bone with your teeth!
Paolo! Today I tried a kimchi onigiri with spam and seaweed at a local farmers market in Arlington, Virginia! I was so excited to see a taste of Japan right here on my way home from work! After watching so many of your videos I HAD to try it! They are SO GOOD!! Thank you!!
I know I'm late on this video. But I absolutely LOVE this because, I feel like everything you picked is still very familiar to people visiting from the states. I could enjoy every single one of these.
I love love love the sandwiches from the convenience stores. So delicious and fresh. And some chip star!
I see foods I like especially Japanese convenient stores’ foods 😋
It is so amazing that Japan convenience stores has so many options and the food is delicious !
Came back from Japan about 5 days ago, and man i cannot tell you how much i miss these convenience stores, i used to wake up at 4am with my friend because we were so jet lagged the first few days and we would walk around the block and try everything 7eleven had, good times, i miss you 🇯🇵!
コンビニにはいつも助けられてます✌️マイコ可愛い💕

The carbonara was my go to for dinner of I didn't want to cook. Gyoza from 7/11 is pretty good too. Also, I only found it in the south, but the blueberry jam and cream cheese sandwiches just reminded me of my childhood

I lived in Tokyo December 1963 to September 1967. I am so jealous the fast food industry has become so good and plentiful! My only consolation is that a restaurant nearby my school would bring two bowls of tori curry and rice on a bicycle. My delivery guy would joke that he couldn't believe I wanted to each day from Monday through Saturday. At 78, I still dream about those two servings once in a while. But you got Tonkatsu sandwiches! I am so jealous. To me Tonkatsu is the primo dishes of Japan. Thank you for this greet video!
The ikura onigiri got me impressed. I had it as a gift from my sister when she got back from Tokyo. She bought it before the flight and put it in a heat-protected bag. After like nearly half a day when I finally got it on my hand, it was still in perfect condition. The rice itself didn't fall apart and still remained flavorful. The ikura inside surprisingly wasn't popped! The onigiri was awesomely fresh like you just took it out from the konbini a minute ago! That onigiri is definitely a must-try!!
This made my day!!! You guys rock!!

Your favorite word...."Freaking!!" Lol! Supermarkets here in NY or in the U.S. are nothing like ones in Japan.... I wish I were in Japan. All those food looked amazing!! They're heavenly place for those who can't cook or hate cooking or too busy...no time to cook! Boy! MENCHI KATSU looked great! There was a little shop near our house in Tokyo when I was little & once in a while mom bought a fresh, just fried MENCHI KATSU & it was so delicious as it was still warm & so crispy!!! I miss that... All of food looked FREAKING good!!!!! lol!
