I personally don't think that Hellfire is an underrated Disney villain song. For me, it's the most memorable song from the entire movie. And even though Tangled is my favorite Disney movie, I don't agree with Mother Knows Best being the most underrated disney villain song. Don't get me wrong, it's a great villain song; but the Mother Knows Best Reprise is far more underrated in comparison to the first version. The reprise is a lot shorter, but I feel like a lot more people forget about it.

Its underrated especially since this song reflects real world situations. There has been countless men who murdered and stocked their love interest/significant other. Moreso is hilarious that this "holy" man who is so horny that he burns all of Paris just because he can't have his crush.

I kinda expected to see “The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind” from The Great Mouse Detective to be on this list. Guess it’s not as overlooked as I thought.

I recently found out that “Hellfire” had a somewhat different melody in the demo version. Comparing that with the final version, having the tune from “The Bells of Notre Dame” was the best choice in my opinion.

Interesting fact: Emperor's New Groove has a villain song called "Snuff Out the Light" but it was deleted when the project was overhauled from the movie's original title, Kingdom of the Sun.

Some of the songs aren't just underrated, for i find some of them to be *criminally* underrated but even so they are still some of my all time favorite villain songs!!!

As much as I love Hellfire (it's my favorite Disney villain song in fact), I think My Lullaby from The Lion King 2 by Zira should've been in this list. Hellfire is unanimously right up there among fan favorite Disney songs, but My Lullaby is barely talked about even though imo it's one of the darkest and most intense villain songs out there (surpassing Be Prepared even!).

Hellfire is hands down the best Disney song. So intense!

I’m always down to listen to “Shiny.”😊💜 The end credit scene with him was also pretty hilarious since he is justifiably ticked that he’s still stuck on his back.🤣

I understand the need to have modern movie songs on this list, but I have to agree with others that I don't think Shiny, Hellfire, or MKB are really underrated. Great Mouse Detective would have been a fantastic addition here, but I do LOVE the inclusion of Elegant Captain Hook, Phony King of England, & Mine, Mine, Mine - that last is one of my favorites because David Ogden Stiers is amazing. Also, THANK YOU for letting the Jafar clip play long enough to hear that outstanding screeching cackle! One of the best Disney villain laughs on film!

My mom always uses the "Mother Knows Best" line on my brother and I whenever she's right about something or when her advice and help pays off for us in the end. I like it because she managed to turn a villain song into a fun way of teasing and reminding us that she loves us and will always do her best to help us succeed. Love you Mom!

I love the song the pirates sing, "The Frigate that Flies," in the Tinker Bell movie "The Pirate Fairy."

mother gothel's snap in rapunzel knows best is so badass

I get chills every time I hear John Smith's part in Mine Mine Mine "All of my life I have searched for a land like this one, a wild and more challenging country I couldn't design, hundreds of dangers await and I don't plan to miss one, in a land I can tame, a land I can claim, the greatest adventure is mine!" It's a great way to show us that he's obliviously hopeful and blissfully unaware of what's going on.

I remember when I saw Tangled in theatres. When baby Rapunzel says "yes mommy" the whole theatre just gasped. They all got the true horror that Rapunzel didn't know who here true mom was. Just heartbreaking.

I see a few people suggesting "World's Greatest Criminal Mind", which I agree with, but "Goodbye So Soon" is even more overlooked and ten times as villainous. Seriously, imagine having to listen to a fond farewell song dripping with sarcasm that your arch-nemesis recorded for you to listen to during your final living moments while he makes his (attempted) getaway. THAT's villainy

A bit surprised that “The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind” from The Great Mouse Detective isn't on this list. It has to be one of my most underrated Disney villain songs that I know of.

There are some deleted lyrics in Mother Knows Best where Gothel basically tells Rapunzel "Go Ahead, go see the world and Die! I deserve it!" They were quite passive-aggressive, and I'm glad they weren't in the final movie.

Honestly, I think 1 & 2 should be switched. Hellfire deserves to be #1 for the sheer fact that it's such a gutsy song due to the lyrics and subject matter Disney would NEVER be able to get away with a song like that in today's PC world and it was pretty risky for them to do it back then too since no one would've expected a song like "Hellfire" from the family-friendly company in the 90s and it definitely made a lot of parents raise their eyebrows when it was first heard in 1996. We will NEVER hear another amazing Disney villain song like "Hellfire", sung with such passion and conviction again. RIP Tony Jay and thank you for bringing one of the most evil villains and one of the most amazing songs in the Disney song library to life. Also, thanks for including my favorite underrated Disney villains songs, "Mine, Mine, Mine" and "The Phony King of England" to your list.

Honestly, I think that Home on the Range is an underrated movie. It is so much fun! I love any of these songs that have a good perky beat. Many have such a fun toon that you can't help but want to sing along.

"Hellfire" was totally wild, and one of my faves, but my favourite Disney Villain song is "Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid.

I know Jafar is reprise of prince Ali isn’t a full song, but I love comparing that one to the genius version and both to the Broadway version they all sound so good in different ways

It's a crime that "Hellfire" is even on this list because it is THE best villain song.

My fav Disney villain song is We Don't Talk About Bruno (duh). it's literally a genius and creative song, that the people sing about the "villain" or the person they think he's the villain... it comes from their perspective, it's a total masterpiece.

I actually did Mother knows best for my final grade practical for drama because I always thought it was one of if not the best Disney villain songs. It really is so underrated😭

My favorite songs from this top were definetly "the elegant capatain hook" and "who's Been painting My roses red"? Great video ms mojo , i hope i see You soon for more, and happy friday

My junior year of high school for choir for our desert concert which is when we sing musical songs and seniors get to do their senior song. Anyways we got to do Hellfire from Hunchback of Nortredam. My classmate did the solo for the villian.

I have a CD with all the Aladdin songs on it I listen to it so much over the years that I have every one of the songs memorized

I really disagree. Whenever I hear anybody talk about villain songs, Hellfire is always in the top 5. I had issues with the movie, I didn't like it and I have my reasons for it, but I can still say that I hear about this song all the time.

Home on the Range was a random movie I found at the library as a kid and decided to watch it. So glad I did. Alameda Slim is fantastic 😂👍

Great list but We Don’t Talk About Bruno is the most talked about. Even being the number one song of the year. It’s catchy and has vibes.

I think there is a lot of depth and symbolism ie Authority/Church Corruption in Medieval times, racism, discrimination, abuse etc to the song disguised by simplicity. Its got almost an Opera Alto vibe to it!

I don't know if it counts because it's from the sequel, but I much prefer "You're Only Second Rate" from the Return of Jafar and wish more people saw it as the difinitive Jafar villain song. Yeah it has it's weird corny moments (like when Jafar brags about how threatening he is in the form of....a thumb) but when you add up everything Jafar stands for I feel like he's much more enjoyable and believable as a comedic villain than an actually threatening. Also, he's so iconic that he deserves to have a villain song that's actually HIS song, not just a reprise of someone else's.

Disney heroes have great songs because of course it’s Disney, but Disney villains have the best songs!

The Dark of the Night in Anastasia is a great Villian Song

"Prince Ali (Reprise)" from "Aladdin (1992 film)", "Hellfire" from "The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996 film)", and "Mother Knows Best" from "Tangled (2010 film)" are definitely my favorite underrated Disney villain songs, and I am very glad that these three made it on this list.

Mother Knows Best I feel isn't underrated it's always talked about. Hellfire should be 1. I do agree with Trust in Me being underrated. I also think King Louie's song is too Talk like Me . Painting my rose's red is underrated too.

"Mine, Mine, Mine" from Pocahontas (1995) is similar to "Gaston" from Beauty and the Beast (1991). Both songs show respectively villain's vices (Ratcliffe's greed and Gaston's narcissism).

235: I was hoping that The World’s Greatest Criminal Mind was going to be on this list. Even like the movies on this list, The Great Mouse Detective is criminally underrated but when you have the legendary Vincent Price as Raitgan, how can you refuse?

The actors life song from pinoccio has been stuck in my head for 20 years and it creeps me out! Tell me im not the only one...

The only songs on this list I would change are; "Prince Ali Reprise," given the skill of the song and how it actually reflects the distinction between Jafar and Aladdin, "Hellfire" is more well-recognized and could be replaced with Clopin's (and the gypsy guard's) "Court of Miracles" as it slowly builds towards the near-execution of Quasimodo and Phoebus
