I love Ray, but I cried when he died.😭 At least he is with Evangeline now.💜

Actually I loved the Easter egg thrown in from the Lion King. “They’re fireflies. Fireflies that got stuck on that big bluish black thing”

I think Zazu deserves more credit as a Disney sidekick. For one thing, he keeps track of everything that happens in the Pride Lands and makes sure it runs smoothly. Second, he puts his life on the line by making sure young Simba and Nala (and other members of the Pride) stay out of trouble. And how many times does he get mistreated by other animals? A lot.

@@stephaniethepenguin5442 mine too. He even tried to guide Scar from the cage the former placed him in. Then in the Lion Guard and Lion King 2, he continues to guide Simba through his decisions.

Out of all the sidekicks on this list, i think it's safe to say that even though he's underrated Kronk got the most appreciation, i mean as we all know he's the only sidekick on this list who got his own movie for crying outloud, i mean the movie may not have been well recieved but at least it was something.

Zazu is so underrated that when I found a sweater with a pattern of him on it, I immediately put it on my Xmas list that year(Also helped that it was in my favorite color too.). I know sidekicks are supposed to have a lot of merch but for some of these characters finding anything with just them on it is like finding gold.

Lafyette and Napoleon from The Aristocats are extremely underrated! They helped the cats escape Edgar each time by riding in vehicles and wrestling with him!

Yes, but are they sidekicks? Their only reactions are with each other and Edgar. They don't have any connection to the cats or their plight. Mind you, it would have been funny if they got a series of shorts, sort of Tracey Ullman show-style. They could definitely pull that off.

My favorite is of course your number one. Raymond, the funny firefly who is in love with the bright shining star. I also like Kronk and Zazo. But let's not forget and Potcha. The Cuzco's friend who got him back to the palace In time to save his life and get him turned back into a human and to get back at Ezma for being a jerk. Thank you.

Cri-Kee from "Mulan (1998)", Terk & Tantor from "Tarzan (1999)", Pascal & Maximus from "Tangled (2010)", Zazu from both "The Lion King (1994)" and "The Lion King (2019)", and Rajah from both "Aladdin (1992)" and "Aladdin (2019)" are definitely my favorite Disney sidekicks that definitely need more appreciation and spotlight.

Zazu, Cri-Kee, Raja, Tantor & Turk!!! hands down

What about Ron Stoppable? My boy needs more recognition. He's the most powerful character in the whole Kim Possible universe and everyone forgets about it.

Ron is well loved and got ample dedicated screen time. In story Kim constantly shows her appreciation for him.

The three characters that come to mind when I think of Patrick Warburton are Kronk, Joe Swanson and Kenny from The Bee Movie

What's nice is the change in relationship between Zazu and Simba in the movie and the sequel.

I totally agree but lets add; Gergie Toby Guss and Jaq Jock and Trusty Lumiere and Cosworth Zero Evenrude Jake And Flora Fauna and Merriweather

I would included Timothy Q Mouse from Dumbo, Dr Dawson from The Great Mouse Detective, Wilbur from The Rescuers Down Under, and Morph from Treasure Planet.

For those who underrate these importante characters :"dishonor on You and dishonor on your cow."

Tbh this movie is not on the list but all the dogs in Oliver & Company are underrated.

I think it's cuz he doesn't get as much attention as Timon and Pumbaa. As much as I like these two, they do start to get a little cringy after a while. Zazu is definitely one of my favorites.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! Disney mossed a BIG opportunity not re-releasing this for the '6th of Janu-ervy' and using the proceeds to help rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral... The music is beautifully done, Tony Jay (R.I.P.) played a chilling villain, and Esmeralda immediately became one of my favorite Disney heroines EVER!

I'm guessing it was partly because it was a darker movie, and based on a story that wasn't previously made for children (Lion King was based on Hamlet, but they made it fairly light). Hunchback wasn't conventional like the movies Disney is known for.

Zazu is one of my Favorite Sidekicks. He means well, but feels that the Leaders of Pride Rock should handle things differently. Also, Mushu’s a Goof, but so enjoyable, if you ignore Mulan 2. Also, Ray’s Death still hurts, no matter if you except it or not.

The Gargoyles are unfairly underrated. During the film they were very helpful towards Quasimodo.

I’m not sure if they’re considered sidekicks but the 2 moose from Brother Bear were hilarious and I never hear anyone mention them

Zazu is funny

I think Evinrude from The Rescuers deserves more credit for his heroic deeds. He worked himself to exhaustion and outsmarted predators to give the signal that saved the day, yet he gets very little appreciation for his job well done.

I think that the most underrated Disney sidekick is Timothy Mouse

I like all the disney sidekicks from Disney characters on tv or on movies like moana and Cinderella and the lion king and mulan and hunchback of Notre dame and tangled and the emperors new groove and the little mermaid and Pocahontas and the fox and the hound and Aladdin and Pinocchio and one hundred one dalmatians and the princess and the frog

Sorry Mojo but, many of the choices on this list are actually popular. Just because they don't get as much love, attention, credit, and recognition doesn't necessarily mean they're underrated. I don't think you even understand what underrated actually means and what's actually considered underrated and what isn't. Sidekicks on this list such as Zazu, Crick-ee, Kronk, Pua, Maximus, Scuttle, Meeko, Ray, and the honorable mentions which are Rajah, Pegasus, and Figaro are loved and remembered by everyone. If I were you guys, I would've included Dr. Dawson from the Great Mouse Detective, Wilbur or Jake from the Rescuers Down Under, and especially Morph or B.E.N. from Treasure Planet instead (that's all I could think of at the top of my head, honestly). Those sidekicks are the ones who are actually underrated and rarely get any love, attention, credit, and recognition.

I didn't like the gargoyles because they contradict the point that Quasimodo grew up completely isolated except the visits of Frollo and that's the reason he has a low self esteem. Here, he has three people telling him he is fine as he is. So why wouldn't he think screw you Frollo, my friends said you're wrong.
