Alhamdulillah, I am proud to be the Urdu speaker. It is a language with beautiful and rich literature. It has many great poets, including Amir Khusrau (1253-1325), Mir Taqi Mir (1723-1810), and Mirza Ghalib (1797-1869). What it did not get from Shauraseni Prakrit, Urdu got that from the Persian, Arabic, and Turkic languages. It is a beautiful result of the increasing diversity that occurred due to the Muslim rule in India. Unfortunately during the British era, It suffered from the Hindi-Urdu controversy. But, no one could have stopped this beautiful language from growing in history. 💖

But it was originated from India and it has a great influence of sanskrit too. Not all words are from Arabic, Turkish and Persian. Due to the Muslim rulers came from middle east and central Asia the whole Indian subcontinent came into their dominance. And they proclaimed the most of them Persian language as the official language of the empire and thus various literature were started writing in Persian language and thus there are so many loanwords from Persian in Hindi. But there were also other languages spoken between the common people. Due to which the local language also started influencing by the official language the urdu and hindi came into existence. It has a long history. But I respect every language and they are become our culture. As you know India has recognised and respected all languages. There are so many literature of urdu in our textbook. 😊❤️❤️

Hey, Zoe. Texan here and I can confirm "Spanglish" is a real thing, especially the further south you get in the state. It almost serves as a lingua franca for those people who only speak one or the other. I can also confirm the existence of a delicious cuisine unique to Texas called "Tex-Mex," in which--you guessed it--combines Texan and Mexican dishes and flavors. ¡Gracias por tu video!

Hi Zoe!! 😊 I liked the part when you spoke about spanglish. Not me but my mother’s family is from the north of Mexico near to the U.S. and a lot of new words created with spanish and english words are used there… For example TROCA (matching “truck” and “camioneta”), PUSHAR (“push” + “empujar”) and PARKEAR (“parking” + “estacionar”)… Although those are just a few words and that could not be understood as a language or a dialect, I think is interesting how words and languages can develop depending of the place where they arrive. Those languages shown in the video, are definitely the most spoken ones in this unimaginable world. I can only speak English and Spanish as my primary languages, and I was meant to boost my potential in learning to speak beautiful languages for online global communication. The information displayed was very entertaining, informative and useful. And I tend to beat myself up when trying new languages other than the two I aforementioned because of the lack of confidence and some of my target languages are exceptionally hard to understand and get inside me, but that also depends on one's personal preferences. Well, u mentioned it so ty, i think there are more speakers there than East timor and macau, too. Also, in Japan, because remember that brazil had a lot of japanese people or their descendants that migrated (back) to Japan so about 500,000 speak portuguese (plus foreigners)

Everyone knows how powerful English is in the world, but I also think that French is a powerful language. It's a language with a wide geographical spread. I would add that in Asia, the largest number of French speakers are in Lebanon, with around 40%. And in Israel, around 6 to 10%. But in a few decades French will decline in Lebanon because of English, which is already very widespread in Lebanon. Although I don't think French will disappear like it has in Rwanda or Vanuatu. (Spanish also has a lot of potential, but the majority of Spanish speakers are in America).

Fun fact: there are French communities (even though small) in Italy too 😊

Yes, languages are so interesting and I wish parents should continue speaking their native language at home. One should never forget one’s native country nor its language. Since 2023, last year, Bahasa Indonesia has also been officially accepted by Unesco as one of its 10 official languages, namely: English, French, Spanish, Arab, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, Italy, & Bahasa Idonesia (Indonesian). I am just wondering how you can be not informed about this fact, despite your bussinesses in foreign languages teachings. That's so weird!!!

I am a Indian, my mother tounge is Bengali, i know Hindi very fluently, i studied English in school 🏫, now i am interested in Chinese, Spanish, Italian and little bit german.🐼

I'm a Mauritian-Indian Hindu who is octolingual, languages i know are : 1. English, 2. Français(French), 3. Kreol Morisien(Mauritian Creole), 4. हिन्दी(Hindi), 5. संस्कृत(Sanskrit), 6. अवधी(Awadhi), 7. भोजपुरी(Bhojpuri) & 8. বাংলা(Bengali). I learned the 1st 3 occidental languages as a must to communicate with other communities & as a Hindu i learned Hindi, Sanskrit & Awadhi but Bhojpuri & Bengali are my native languages as i'm half Bihari-half Bengali🙏🏽

In Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru, we also speak Quechua

It is a simple and friendly language. Either the Malaysian and Brunei version, (with examples above) or the Indonesian version. ..very similar. Translation is also available on Facebook and You tube. Online dictionary is also available and is continually updated.
