welli mean,.. dbz is soo overpowered.. with in the first season of dbz it apparently only takes 450 powerlevel to destroy a planet... which clip of vegeta at age 10 does.. which makes things.. a bit waaaaay over powered. that being even super saiyan is more than 100k power level.. so yeah.. i mean.. dbz is just gunna stay the most over powered, until you find somthing such as somone, ironicly such as captain falcon which oddly enough in his show at the final battle, do a falcon punch that does a burst of power through a cosmos. Meaning a actual charecter that can not just blow up a planet, but blow up a solar system. (Note I am not saying captain falcon is the strongest)

Comparing One Punch Man to another anime, you need to get some perspective. One Punch Man is more of a joke anime than serious. So if Saitama had that planet crust buster move and that's somewhere near his max power, then he probably can't even beat piccolo who blew up the moon with little effort to stop kid Gohan from being an ape

+VipKamaro that's kind of the definition of goku though. he will overcome any enemy, that's how he gets stronger. and plus if you killed him he could come back thanks to supreme kai. also when saiyens get beaten, they come back stronger, PLUS instant transmission is better than being able to create afterimages. goku by definition is unbeatable, like saitama (apart from kryptonite) superman.....etc theres loads

thanks, exactly my thoughts. I kind of knew Goku was going to be #1, but I expected a good explanation. Such as 'only completed series and no movies' or something around those lines. Currently, even if he is able to and eventually will (well that is kind of obvious, I guess) overcome Bills and Whis, he is not stronger than them. That is a fact, so they would have to be put higher than him, making his #1 rank completely senseless.

You can punch like god, turn super sayan, be a vampire and etc.. but its all over when you draw exodia.

In Saint Seiya, the strongest character amongst bronze saints is Ikki, Phoenix Cloth. Amidst Gold Saints, Virgo Shaka and Gemini Saga/Kanon are the real badasses

+Niggachu Theres still alot to be revealed about Goku, Saitama, Whis and whoever else you wanna throw in there. I think they chose him #1 was due to the fact that Goku's training and fighting spirit has proven to be very genuine. He did alot of it, an you got to see all of it. Whereas for example Saitama and Whis, yes their powers may be stronger and faster than Goku's if you're taking it from the Lure, he could destroy everything with one punch and Whis travel much faster, BUT we haven't seen much if not any of their training. Yes Saitama has hidden potential due to the fact we haven't seen his true strength, and YES Whis is super fast but we have seen Goku progress and reach higher levels of strength that are dreamed of. Like Saitama says being able to destroy anything is kind of boring. (correct me if i'm wrong.) and Goku building up to that is noble. Thus why i think they, gave him the #1 spot. I feel they are right in doing so too.
