Top 10 Most EXPENSIVE Counties in England
What are the most expensive counties in England? To determine this, I've listed the top 10 in order of sold property prices within the last 12 months according to rightmove.co.uk, so bear in mind this information is time-sensitive (correct as of June 2023), though the list order is unlikely to change significantly in the future.

Thank you!
Very interesting! Maybe we now need a video showing the least expensive counties.
Excellent
Great video. Next, could you do the fastest-growing English Cities outside of London?

Thanks! That's an interesting idea, though I'm not sure what metric you would use to measure growth.

Perhaps population or level of service or public health industries, you could look at the IMD of these areas?
I don't recommend 'pinging off' onto the Tube at Clapham Junction. The nearest station for that is 1 and a half miles away. You can get the Underground by staying on the train to Waterloo, however.

I was referring to the London Overground as it doubles up with National Rail. If you go into Waterloo in zone 1 just to get on the tube, you may have just wasted £2.80 or even £3.40 depending on the time of day.
Having lived the majority of my life in Hertfordshire, I am going to make the predictable comment that not everywhere in that county has property prices that would make the eyes of people from outside SE England water. For example properties in St Albans would most likely be out of the reach of people who have grown up in Stevenage. I have also lived in Kent, which is a very large county geographically and where there is a great discrepancy in wealth (and property prices) between those parts near London and areas in East Kent.
Banbury has quite good rail connections.
nice discussion!!!🫰👍
Can't believe Cambridgeshire didn't make it to the list

I think that's mostly because Peterborough's in Cambridgeshire!
Great idea and very interesting - however the City of Brighton and Hove isn’t in a county as it’s a Unitary authority so has its own demographic with house prices somewhat linked to London rather than either of the Sussex counties.

It is? Gosh, it's hard to keep track of all these unitary authorities. Either way, Rightmove has Brighton & Hove within the perimeter of East Sussex for the sake of this list in any case.

@@AlexinGreatBritainno yeah, im from west sussex and brighton is in east sussex, which is the inly reason east sussex has a high gdp LOL. West sussex is posher i guess since we have proximity to surrey and london ( horley, and gatwick airport in crawley )
These property price averages are disturbingly high. The amount of debt people have to take on just to live in an "average" property.
Hampshire? Gloucestershire?
Just to be sure...Marylebone does not service Hertfordshire.
