10 Safest Places to Live in England
What are the safest places to live in England? If you’re looking for respite from several insecurity issues your country of residence is coping with, consider moving to England. The country is quite safe to live in. However, those living in England still have their dissatisfactions with some places there that are considered not so safe. Yet, if you have your way, other factors being equal, I want to show you the 10 safest places to live in England you could move to.
By referring to these as the best places to live in England, I do not mean that they are the best in all ramifications. People's preferences in the choice of where to live can be different. Yet, everyone wants to live in a crime-free environment, if at all possible. Thus, we perused figures found in the data from government sources about where you are at the least risk of becoming a victim of crime in England and Wales.
We also considered records from the Home Office and police who have the figures of the reported crimes such as the use of firearms, knives, and sharp instruments. We also looked at their figures on fraud and anti-social behavior offenses. Our ranking is based on the total of these crimes per 1,000 people and we found that North Yorkshire is the best place to live in England. Below is the summary of our findings.
10. Essex
We start with Essex, a county in the southeast on the North Sea, one of the home counties in the Thames estuary. This maritime county borders the North Sea, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Middlesex. It is separated from Kent by the Thames estuary and Greater London to the southern stretch and southwest.
Essex is considered a very safe and family-friendly town. While Essex doesn’t have too many different activities, children enjoy a lot of fun at the local libraries and parks so that they love to spend their free time there. Adults freely frequent restaurants and local concerts on Ivoryton Green.

What's the point of saying the safest places when you just list counties? It's a huge area, not very accurate. Also, liverpool has been proven for the last two years to be the safest city so 🤷♂️👎

This is crap ! (apart from Devon & Cornwall and North Yorkshire) I've seen these places crop up on other lists as the unhappiest places to live and the 'unsafest' (too vague and generic) Croydon (miserable and unsafe place : trust me I know !) is in Surrey (the infamous epicentre of 2010 riots)
Such a disappointment, Hackney should be the top.
