Peter Piper Such is the case in Islam, also. Muhammad has been scrutinized by folks OUTSIDE of Muslim circles and found to be "non-prophet", by all accounts. Robert Allison There is an interesting book by Henry Caswell from the 1840s where Smith was said to go to bars in Iowa, across the border from Illinois, and after getting drunk, he would repeat, "I am a P.R.O.F.I.T."

I think you are confusing being discouraged from investigating negative anti Mormon sites with reasonable sources. Although..... it is true the seer stone is not your everyday teaching in Sunday school for a very good reason. Probably for the same reason it's not discussed much how a donkey can talk, how Jesus walked on water or the staff of Moses became a serpent. Even the superstitious Christians are quite tight lipped on those kind of things because explanation evades them. That doesn't mean it never happened. Yes?? :>) What do you mean..... "the "rock in the hat" *METHOD* of "translating" the Book of Mormon." ?? Nobody knows the method the Lord used to energize the seer stone. How come some Mormons knew of the seer stone 40 years ago and you never until years latter?? @@deskjockie4948 Jock, I (like Staats) am amazed at how naive you have been for so long. So, the rock-in-hat threw you? What would you like to know more about it? You seem to think there is something wrong with it; let's try something new? - thinking about it. First point of logic - does a book from God stop being from God if it is translated by any implement or method the world has never used? (I presume you have stopped believing in it.) I will stop asking questions and just detail the reasons why this implement and the hat were used, and let you do some thinking. Smith was supplied the urim and thummim to translate, which was a large and distinctive object that could not easily be hidden when enemies came a knocking, so he was allowed to use two objects he could leave lying around, right under their noses, and not have them confiscated (also the reason the plates were left in hiding - originally placed on the table). He had very poor English and zero Reformed Egyptian knowledge, so had to have something, including educated scribes, however, that something was not restricted to worldly translating tools because even the world could hardly translate Egyptian, and had absolutely no idea what Reformed Egyptian was. Smith needed some way that worked in his situation. He was left to just reading, but it is probably hard to read writing on a rock if text is illuminated from it. My phone screen is almost impossible to read when I am walking around in daylight, so I look for dark places. I have often found none, so take my hat off and shade it. There is nothing silly about it - it just works. One final consideration; the bible warns against straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel. May I suggest you are guilty of it? - The rock-in-hat method is your gnat, and the plethora of lies about the restoration is your camel. BTW, no gnats are discussed in church, and members are encouraged to investigate beyond lesson manuals (seek out of the best books). I'm pretty sure you haven't done much of that, and relied on your once a week lessons. While you can shake your head at your blindness, try shaking at your naivety, gullibility, stupidity, and most likely - disobedience? You know what I mean.

I was married to a Mormon for nearly 25 years, and though never baptized, I accompanied her to the Church services as regularly as a member. I listened twice to the missionary discussions, and was struck by how they would almost immediately push and try to persuade investigators to get baptized. This is in contrast to the Catholic Church for example (no fan of that institution either) that requires a prolonged study period. Over the years it became clear to me why the missionaries and others operate this way. They want you to make the commitment while the information seems at least plausible, and before you learn their really bizarre doctrines and dogma. Believe it or not, the information presented here, though accurate, only scratches the surface in describing how weird this church is. The Mormon Church has one thing in common with most religious institutions, that is they each claim to uniquely possess a divinely revealed word, and if you unquestioningly follow them, and never apply reason or critical faculties, they will show you eternal life. Where Mormons (and a few others) are different is that first, you have to give them 10 percent of your income for the privilege of receiving their nonsense, and secondly, their history and doctrine, because it is historically relatively recent, is so verifiably bullshit.I for one am bitter about the amount of time I have spent on beautiful Sunday mornings when I could have been hiking in the mountains, but instead was in a brick building with a bunch of sheep singing crap like "praise to the man," and "we thank thee oh god for a prophet..." But I am free now!

Does the Tindale Bible agree with the King James Version in all regards and do both of them agree with the New American Standard? The Catholics have two additonal books, is theirs the authorized Bible or is the one without the two additional books the authorized Bible? Was there one forbidden tree in the Garden or two, some Bibles (KJV) mention a Tree of Life and a Tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil and some only mention a Tree of knowledge of Good and Evil and Omit a Tree of Life. And those are just some of the problems with English language versions. Does the King James version agree with the King Louise version (French)? @@godsoffspring4195 Actually, Mormons are NOT Christians. They have drastically different teachings that are in direct conflict with Christianity, The Bible, and the true Jesus. Mormons don't even believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and call it "mistranslated". Mormons believe their Jesus was the product of Elohim's physical sex with Mary - this not only makes Mary an adulterer, but it also makes the Mormon Jesus a bastard. Christians do NOT believe that. Mormons believe in varying levels of salvation, which is a concept Jesus NEVER spoke of and goes against the Christian teachings of salvation where everyone who is saved is saved, NO ONE IS MORE SAVED THAN ANYONE ELSE. Mormons believe in baptisms and temple work for the dead, something they say is mandatory for salvation, however, NO WHERE in the Bible does Jesus mention these rituals. In fact, the only time baptisms for the dead are mentioned is in Corinthians when Paul is discussing a pagan cult that practices that ritual. Mormons are not free to do whatever they want. Mormons cannot question the teachings of the Mormon cult, Mormons cannot advocate a Christian church's teachings publicly. Mormons are discouraged from doing research about Mormonism. Mormons are not free to eat and drink what they want. Mormons are not free to go to Christian churches and worship (repeatedly doing so will result in excommunication, according to the Bishop's handbook). The list goes on and on. You don't know what a Christian is if you believe Mormons are Christians. For example, Muslims and Jews also feature a character named Jesus in their books, but they are not Christians. It is WHAT you believe about Jesus that makes you a Christian or not. Since Mormons believe that Jesus is the literal brother of Satan, that He is insufficient for salvation, and that He is an entirely separate god from "God the Father" - AND that there are gods without number (making Mormons polytheistic *see Isaiah 43:10*), they are decidedly UNCHRISTIAN. Not to mention the Bible repeatedly condemns following false prophets, the criteria of which is found in Deuteronomy 18: 21-22, and yet Mormon prophets (most especially Joseph Smith and Brigham Young) consistently made false prophecies. Mormons have so many manmade doctrines that detract and contradict the Bible. They worship men and lies instead of Jesus. Oh yeah, and Jesus is NOT a Mormon's "only savior", since Mormons teach that you must DO other things in order to gain salvation. If you must believe in Joseph Smith as a prophet, the Book of Mormon as "god's word", do temple work for dead people, and pay 10% of your income, then you are NOT saved by Jesus's grace alone. Mormons are no more Christian than Muslims. I highly recommend you do some research on the following things: - Kinderhook Plates Hoax. - The Book of Abraham Translation. - The Salamander Letters. - The MANY anachronisms in the Book of Mormon. - The contradictory historical, anthropological, and archeological evidence to Mormonism and the BoM. - False prophecies of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. - Joseph Smith's criminal record and polygamy. - Biblical contradictions. And most importantly, you need to read the New Testament. You clearly know nothing about it if you advocate Mormonism...And you clearly know nothing of Mormonism.

However, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you about it all day. I'll just leave you with this: It is FAR easier to believe a wicked lie that makes you comfortable, than a life-saving truth that challenges your whole world. You have the choice to be spiritually strong or spiritually weak. All I ask is that you do a DETAILED search into Mormon history - after all, as one of your beloved General Authorities once said, "If we have the truth, it cannot be harmed by research...if we have NOT the truth, it OUGHT it be harmed."

I talk to many members of the LDS church and her is what I found. 1) if they are an older member they will admit to essentially trying to be Equal to God but if they are about my age group and younger they will laugh it off and argue that I'm making it up. 2) they have no idea that Smith married a 9 year old and those that do will try and justify it. 3) most have no idea that the church was racist! Up until about 1978 they pushed the belief that blacks were cursed with the mark of Cain, they will argue with you even after you show them articles written with interviews of church leaders. So just because you haven't heard this don't let it fool you, the church has been changing and hiding things from the beginning. People have always known Smith was a fraud and not a Christian,we have public records to back up all the claims against Smith & scripture to support the fact that Mormonism is a cult with false prophets and not from God. God don't lie and if Mormonism contradicts God's word then it isn't fun God

Except for DNA, which proves the Bible false if it is used to "prove" The Book Of Mormon false, for the Bible says that Israel was scattered to all the isles of the sea. @Ralph Wiggam I can personally my self prove that these claims are taking out of context, that some are false and show new scientific discoveries that proofs this. I have done many times before, while a served as a missionary, but I've come to find out that even when 10 questions are answered and debunked, another 10 will then come up, and again and again always. There is no point in debating or arguing or proving anything. If you are interested in just a few explanations, you could read these short facts I found for you: latterdaysaintmag.com/10-things-the-devil-does-not-want-you-to-know-about-the-book-of-mormon/#.XhM0nZv_TJk.facebook If you want an explanation on many other anti mormon stuff that are on the internet,, I can recomend reading this free PDF file I found, that gives a response to a guy who published many many antimormon stuff and compiled it into in one book. Some years later a guy came up with a respons to every sentence from that book, debunked it sentence by sentence. Here it is: www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=canonizer.com/files/reply.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjV3pzD1_PmAhVSrosKHYuzBUkQFjAOegQICRAB&usg=AOvVaw059GDWE3PmH_NVoACmbsB_&cshid=1578475535518 I believe this is what you were looking for, but even when all these antimormon stuff are debunked, I've come to experience that all these fact won't have any impact whatsoever. The only way you truly can come to know for yourself is by praying to Heavenly Father to come to know if it truly is true. I bear you my testimony that I personally know that the Book of Mormon truly is ancient records written by ancient prophets. I know the book is true, and that Joseph Smith translated it with the power of God. I attended the LDS church during 2005-2007 and since then I've noticed an accelerating rate of Mormon Videos done by current church members and former church members highlighting the problems of the LDS claim to being the truth and especially the book of Mormon's historical claims. I've seen more LDS Bishops quitting and now some doubts creeping at higher levels of church membership like the recent Swedish Rescue attempt. I'm glad I'm not LDS trying to defend it, in the face of overwhelming evidence refuting it. That's why I never got baptised despite 'feelings' of finding home and feeling the spirit. It wasn't real in the end. disappointing. My comments shouldn't reflect negatively on the many sincere LDS members I met along the way. They were a privilege to know and associate with and I do miss them.

Leaving it AGAIN?? You're not alone! Weak people cycle in and out of the Mormon church on a fairly regular basis. They usually start looking for the door when they realize this church will actually expect something from them. They claim they were "lied to" or something was "hidden"...then they claim to have discovered the "truth claims" of the church are false and so they take the only "dignified" option they can think of to hide their indolence and fecklessness...they quit and claim the moral high ground! Of course, it's just a cover for their confusion. They usually end up as atheists or in one of those little born again/pentecostal/evangelical/ praise the Lord/Jesus first churches where their weakness and confusion won't be noticed. A luxury not to be found among the Mormons.

Rachel Elisabeth that was very well said especially after watching the entire video myself. Anyone that honestly watches this video and can remain Mormon really doesn't understand the contents of this video or the details that are discussed. Seriously, if anyone can watch this video honestly and listen to what it being said and all the details that are presented and still remain a Mormon, then they are doing so with the knowledge of accepting something that is false on purpose. If anyone can believe something that is false on purpose, one has to question what mental disorder causes willful ignorance? This would be similar to hearing all the details why the earth was round but choosing to believe the earth was flat on purpose despite the many examples and details regarding the round earth. What hold does the BITE model have on Mormons to push them to trust a lie that they would even be willing to accept Jesus Christ is a liar based on Mathew 16:18 where Jesus makes a promise to Peter that HIS CHURCH would never be destroyed. And yet, they trust Joseph Smith that he "restored" a church that was never destroyed. Apparently, Joseph Smith is more believable than Jesus Christ. I don't get how a convicted criminal holds so much power even in 21st century times with the truth easy to look up. Why?

I am not Mormon but I do study all of the religions both modern and ancient with extraordinary detail and devotion. Joseph was not wrong about the ancient civilization living here thousands of years ago. He was not wrong about them speaking Hebrew and writing in block Hebrew. He wasn’t wrong about the ancient Egyptian influence being here and I have personally seen mummies which came out of the Grand Canyon. You must understand that the almighty powerful church has gone to incredible lengths to discredit anyone and anything which challenges their narrative given. Even the natives did in fact name the Mississippi River the River S-Dun, the River Sidon. Archeologists also uncovered the Hebrew Stone and Decalogue Stone in the ancient Ohio Earthworks in the Mississippi Valley. You can also find an ancient stone written in Hebrew located in New Mexico which contains the Ten Commandments. There is great significance relating to the date in which angel Moroni appeared to Joseph. September 21st was the holiest day to all Babylonians, Phoenicians, Egyptians and even the Jews of today. It was the new year, the day of creation of Adam and Eve. Jews celebrate this high holiday as Rosh Hashanah and Shabbat Shuva. Shabbat Shuva means “Return!” These days honor the creation of man and signal the end of which is to come. It is the day of the Autumn/Adam equinox. Contrary to what people want to say he was right about a hell of a lot. Those truths will come to light very soon when Michael stands up. That time is near.

My heart hurts so much for the wives of Joseph Smith. They suffered so much to then be purposefully forgotten by the church. The church tries to make it sound like IF Joseph did have plural wives, that it was for the greater good. The LDS church members need to open their eyes.

Coaxing folks to believe in the incredible mishmash of modern mythology which is Mormonism, is a well-choreographed program of psychological trickery. Those that allow their missionaries into their homes (and going door to door is particularly genius: once you let them into your home domain, you are already acting on trust - you trust them enough to let two fit young men into your home: this is a HUGE first step!! Those that take this Leap of Faith (faith and trust are more or less congruous...) are usally those who are seeking something to believe in, to give their lives meaning. The missionaries at first point to both similarities of their belief system to mainstream Christianity, and the milder differences... constructing a bridge from one worldview to another (most Mormon converts are former Christians). Then they give them a Book of Mormon and ask them to PRAY HARD about everything it contains... a process which tends to enhance whatever shreds of belief they are starting to have. Then, love-bombing the potential converts when they show up at the local LDS place of worship, treating them exceptionally nicely... only once they are hooked on the cozy, old-fashioned sense of community that they are exposed to, are they exposed to the more bizzare parts of the LDS belief and worship system - like the Masonic rituals, Mormon underwear (Robes of Righteousness), the Book of Abraham, the Adam-god theory and so on... but by then they are have so much invested in their newfound circle of friends that they willingly swallow the rest of the worm and are fully and truly hooked.

But I found it very easy to walk away. I just put one foot in front of the other and walked out one Sunday. I never went back. If you believe in God and have him in your heart you don't have to go to church to worship him. As long as you are sincere, he will hear your prayers, and answer them.

After the Fall, there was no Garden of Eden or paradisiacal status on earth. Yet relative to the locale of the site of the Garden of Eden, the Prophet Joseph Smith learned through revelation (D&C 57) that Jackson County was the location of a Zion to be and the New Jerusalem to come. The Prophet first visited Jackson County, Missouri, in the summer of 1831. The Prophet visited Jackson County again in April and May 1832. On one of the occasions, or perhaps both, the Prophet Joseph apparently instructed his close associates, and perhaps even a general Church gathering, that the ancient Garden of Eden was also located in Jackson County...." Brigham Young stated, “Joseph the Prophet told me that the garden of Eden was in Jackson [County] Missouri.” (Journal of Wilford Woodruff, vol. 5, 15 Mar. 1857, Archives Division, Church Historical Dept., Salt Lake City.)

I feel stronger spiritual feelings at the church I attend now." - So you had the Spirit when you were a Saint but now it's even stronger. Hmmm... Again... please explain how and especially WHY, you developed a "stronger" relationship with our loving Saviour. - I've heard so many times that is actually the other way around from those many converts who left Trinitarian-ism and Unitarians for the rational and understandable God. It's easy to reason why they develop more of a relationship ... well because they actually understand WHAT they worship not just who. LDS God is not an UNKNOWN God to them and the same God as scripture teaches. - I ask these questions because I have found many times people say they left for reasons that's not quite true or true at all. I also ask because a STRONG relationship with Jesus is available anywhere, all you have to do is love and trust in Him. But, the wisdom and knowledge that can go with that does not. That comes only from His accurate church. There can only be one or none at all.

If I am not mistaken, I remember watching this video in 2015, 2 days before my scheduled baptism in the LDS church. And just 24 hours before I was supposed to be submerged in this if I remember correctly a roughly 2 cubic meter sized kiddie pool, I've contacted the two elders that were serving in my area at that time, to meet up with me at their church. Once we met up there I've politely asked them to call off/cancel my conversion to Mormonism. You can imagine the look of sadness/frustration/confusion and disappointment on their faces when I told them that I have changed my mind about wanting to be baptized, to which they tried to convince me that the church and it's teachings is the only true path to salvation, and that Satan has gained control of my mind and soul to prevent me from joining them etc... To which I apologized to them for thinking that about me, and politely wished them all the best. From that point onward, over the course of 5 years I was slowly distancing myself from the Mormon church and the missionaries that came and went, which was a long tug of war with them trying to lure me back to attend Sunday church, making me watch Mormon propaganda videos, making me read the Book of Mormon again etc... After all these years I still do wonder how my life would have turned out if I've decided to go along with it and get baptized. Then I start reading about LDS church history (and I am not talking about the sugar-coated version of Mormon history on their church approved websites) and watch videos like this one. After which I reaffirm to myself just how lucky I was to start questioning the validity of what the Mormon missionaries have led me to believe and intentionally kept from me, in order to dupe me into joining a manipulative false quasi religious organization. Really dodged a bullet there. I am not even surprised anymore when I think back to the local members who have joined the LDS church in my area, who are mostly naïve elderly ladies, poor and uneducated families who can't even afford to pay tithing, and a couple of young guys who have had the hots for some sister missionaries, thinking that if they got baptized they would possibly have a chance at dating/marrying (those chumps were simping harder than guys who pay for Belle Delphine's OnlyFans🙄) these oppressed young women who have been brainwashed into thinking that, a temple wedding/being sealed in a temple is the single most important thing in their lives. Later when these sister missionaries got transferred or sent home, those young men all became inactive members. I even knew this chump who only wanted to get baptized, because he had a strong urge to move to the United States. And the reason why he believed/thought that is because, he was told by the ward mission leader that it would be easier to get a green card if he was a member of the LDS church (which was pure nonsense). 🤦‍♂️ Also he was promised that the church would help with his immigration to the US. From what I've heard from other sources the guy ended up leaving the Mormon church about a year and half later when they failed to deliver on that promise. 😅 However in other wards in my country I did meet seemingly rational and emotionally, and from what I can tell financially stable families and individuals who were members but they were quite the minority. Those members were usually pleasant to be around, and I do however rarely very occasionally miss the sense of community and love bombing that I have received while being amongst them. Although in retrospect, it was their tactic to lure investigators to join the church. Just to be clear I am not here to spread hate, and I even had brief friendships with a few elders that I still have fond memories of. In my experience I do think that they are actively trying to be good people, who will not say no when asked for helping you out with yard work, perhaps that's how they get you to convert. But despite all that I do feel that I was manipulated by Mormon missionaries into joining a highly demanding cult that was built upon lies/deception. Ps: I really don't want to upset/offend anyone with my comment. I feel no hatred nor intend my comment to be viewed as hateful towards members of the Mormon church. It was never my intention to offend anyone with my comment but rather criticize the way the LDS church is run by their leaders and how they use/manipulate/deceive/indoctrinate/train young missionaries to lure in new gullible people to be baptized. Furthermore I apologize if I made any grammatical errors since English i not my first language.

Thank you for sharing. It's interesting to hear first-hand account of what the conversion process was like for people. For myself on my mission, I was an extremely successful Elder ... In fact, I was the second highest baptizing Elder out of nearly 200 Missionaries for the two years I was there ... Despite the success, I was CONSTANTLY in trouble with the leadership and our Presiident ... I refused to teach my investigators like they wanted ... Rather than manipulate and coerce, I simply taught from my own understanding of what I believed at the time to be true ... apparently this resonated with many of my Investigators and I had many baptisms ... I later found out that everything I believed was built on liies ... but at the time, in the mission field, I had no idea ... What is rather siick to me now, is reflecting on what I was told by mission leadership and my Presiident on my mission ... I was informed MANY times that other Elders had success and baptized people because they were "doing things the right way" and "being obedient" ... the only reason I was having so much success in the work was because, "I was being blessed" ... So the message was loud and clear, STOP teaching people my own way, simply presenting what I believed at the time to be truth, and coerce, manipulate, and DECEIVE to get baptisms ... no matter how many times they told me, no matter how upset they were with me, I refused to manipulate or liie to anybody ... When I look back on it now it makes me rather siick :( ... I apologize you had to go through that with Elders who were just there because they saw you as a number ... :( Be thankful that you were able to see through the liies and manipulation before it was too late!!!

True, but needless to say, a lot of Mormons already know that it is not what it claims to be, but stay in the Church to be socially acceptable, to keep ties with family and friends. It is only when believing in the lie becomes too much, and obvious that Joseph Smith faked everything that they decide to change their lives. But as soon as they decide to question the religion, and its leadership, they find out what the real problem is. The LDS leaders and the die in the wool members do everything they can to cast guilt upon them and fault them for their questions and convictions, which is to say that it is the "15" who rule on top of the organization is what controls the mind of its members down throughout the chain of command, with fear and retribution, pompous authority figure, and with moral indoctrination. After all the church is the only true church and the only means for salvation to get to become a god someday. Of course, nothing is further from the truth. Mormonism is a polytheistic religion. It has the same control over its converts as any other Christian cult out there. Its sad.

This mark was not identified in scripture. When eight people were saved from the flood, one of them was a descendant of Cain. It was Egyptus, the wife of Ham, and their posterity was barred from holding the priesthood. The mark also carried on, and a separated populace ensued after the flood, as it had done with Cain. They became the first Egyptians and, more specifically, the Negroid races." - Eric Lawton, "True Religion" Now here is the LDS church's rebuttal to you: "Today, the Church disavows the theories advanced in the past that black skin is a sign of divine disfavor or curse, or that it reflects unrighteous actions in a premortal life; that mixed-race marriages are a sin; or that blacks or people of any other race or ethnicity are inferior in any way to anyone else. No - you read between the lines. If you look to the end of what I said, I said it was the Negroid race, and skin colour is only a portion of the mark, which is not the mark until all aspects are there. The church has not denied the priesthood to every other black skinned race (somewhere around 50), so can rightly disavow black skin as a sign or curse} , or that it reflects unrighteous actions in a premortal life; {did I say it was so that the unrighteous could come to Earth? No - you read between the lines, once again. By all means, cut and paste the part that says they were unrighteous before birth? No. You have read between the lines five times in 3 or 4 lines (depending on how wide your page is - it varies - more if you are reading a phone).} It's this complete stupidity while reading that has caused there to be 50,000 Christian sects out of one bible. Hey D, since silly Ralphey is finished, how about you consider this? The church had to begin as a fraud in 1830, so it ought to have been harmed long before now - how long are you going to wait? LOL! Anti material protects the church against harm; it keeps out the dross. Our very discussing your nonsense separates the faithful from Satan's minions, and preserves the church - we get to grow with the right people in it, and the wrong one's out. Don't think the internet was the beginning of this; it has been going on since before a bible study class plotted the murder of Smith. The start of belonging to Satan while he pretends to be God is abject stupidity, but it has to be married with sin and mischief.

(I call them "Packerites", in honor of their patron saint, Boyd K. Packer!) What I see happening in the next 20-30 years is LDS Inc. will become as irrelevant as RLDS (Community of Christ). An impotent shell of a church. I also predict that ALL religions will suffer a similar fate. Human progress has been the victim of religious intolerance, division, brutality and hatred for thousands of years. It's way past time for ALL religion to end! Interestingly, Joseph Smith and other members of his family had metal smithing skills. After visiting Palmyra, NY and the Smith homestead, it occurred to me that Joseph Smith or his father or his brothers could have easily forged (in both senses of the term) some plates using a gold colored metal such as brass or bronze. The plates were later taken up to heaven so that further close examination could not be made of the sort of metal used in the plates.

The above video is mostly FAKE NEWS. LINKS to 100's of scholars and research the refute most of these arguments: www.bookofmormonevidence.org has hundreds of videos, and so does www.bookofmormonevidencestreaming.com. Watch this video for the truth about The Book of Abraham, the first false premise in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eGVtxpd8nL2zh9I.html. Bruce Porter has been to Israel and Egypt as a world-class scholar, over a hundred times EACH, and has done more research on the Book of Abraham, than anyone who makes "anti-Mormon" materials on it. Could it be that those who "leave" or criticize the Restored Church of Jesus Christ, are no different than anyone who gives up on themselves in blame because of some deeper betrayal, hurt, anger toward someone else (parents, leaders, God, or very mortal people "in-process" like everyone else)? We ALL are hypocrites to some extent or another! It's called PROJECTING ONTO OTHERS our own perceptions, and adopting some other form of truth to fit the narrative we adopt instead, to cover up pain, self-deceive, or explain away our LACK of effort to PROVE things out with all methods available to learn SELF-EVIDENT TRUTHS. Yes, it IS a harder path, but we get to choose. We choose Christ, and the Book of Mormon WILL stand any test of time and fact! These "TOP 10" arguments are just perceptions with statements of assumption, false reports on the internet, bad experiences, or explaining away HISTORICAL FACTS with anti-Mormon "historical" accounts, which were based in hate, bigotry, prejudice, and even murderous intentions and even murderous results! Quote them all you want as "historical" but what are the self-evident fruits? HERE are TRUE FACTS that show this video is wrong: *DNA DOES match the Eastern U.S. Native Tribes with the HAPLO X Group of some of the most pure Hebrews in the Middle-East: the Ashkenazi Jews! *There IS AMAZING evidence of the Nephite/Lamanite Cultures and Peoples. There are over 1 MILLION ancient MOUNDS just in the eastern half of the U.S. Check out the ADENA & HOPEWELL Civilizations. THERE ARE BLAZING EVIDENCES beyond anyone's wildest imaginations that align with the Jaredites & Nephites and more. We have filmed over 12 states worth of museums that yes, have the answers in the Native American Histories of Ancient America. *There ARE HEBREW ORIGINS: www.crystalinks.com/decalogue.html (Decalog Newark, OHIO stone...shows Moses and the 10 Commandments, unburied here in the U.S. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_Lunas_Decalogue_Stone. How could Joseph Smith ever have known about THIS stone with the 10 commandments on it in New Mexico? www.ancient-hebrew.org/ancientman/1055.html. There was a cover-up about the BAT-CREEK STONE that is in the Cherokee Museum after the Smithsonian displayed it upside down, until HEBREW SCHOLAR told them it was NOT ancient Cherokee, but HEBREW. It's interesting that 2 Smithsonian Curators both were involved in cover-ups (William Powell and E.V. Squires)...even bulldozing Hebrew-looking MOUNDS in the form of a Menorah, and Hebrew Lamp (huge earthworks) to hide Hebrew connections. Why? Could it be that BOTH their fathers were ministers in no other than PALMYRA, N.Y. during Joseph SMith's lifetime? There is too much real history "MormonHistoryBuff" is completely ignorant about, let alone cynical? Any historical account about ANYTHING will have various accounts by different people (ie., the parable of the blind men inspecting different parts of an elephant...each blind man-like blind anti-Christians /Mormons- could each swear they were observing the real elephant...but each is feeling and describing a different part!). His "logic" seems more ILL than logical: illogical. Every organization has discrepancies as a working body that grows over time...and makes mistakes. Pres. Nelson said in his 1st Press Conference as the new President of the Church "We never said we were infallible." None of us is! Never were! That's why there is an amazing person in Jesus who IS real, and is speaking to all the world in Holy Scripture: the Bible, Book of Mormon and more. Isn't it wonderful that some good parents don't do to their children what MormonHistoryBuff's behavior demonstrates? He uses 6 Negative "C's." He's Critical, Cynical, Contentious, Combative, Condemning, and Contemptuous. Perhaps he is basing divisive ideas among people in the Church, which would be right. Many LDS scholars HAVE changed the narrative that has mostly been consistent over 200 years, on the Peep Stone vs. Urim & Thummim, on Evolution (www.UniversalModel.com teaches truth more than BYU "Scholars?" In the 1800's and before, written or oral accounts DID differ, based on very mortal individuals, so we could point out discrepancies in ANY historical account about anything. Thank you for reading if you did this far. I know for myself that Jesus is the Christ, my Best Friend, and that Joseph Smith was a true moral man with an honest heart. He said what applies to all of us: "I'm only a prophet when I'm a prophet. The rest of the time, I'm a man." (Paraphrased). It would be better to live the positive "C's" like Compassion, Charity, Community and Christian principles better...every one of us~

@Ralph Wiggam Silly lying wigs, I have refuted this many times, already, but since you keep lying, I will keep refuting. I just might tally the lies one day like I tallied the week's worth of foul mouth you displayed. [The "testimony" of every person who saw the "plates" is invalid.] If this was true, it would be removed from the preface. You lie. [They were all personally related to Joseph Smith.] Another complete lie. The Whitmer's were unrelated.] [They were all deeply entrenched in the foundation of our "Church"] True, but that is only natural. [They all believed in "Second Sight" and seeing things with their "Spiritual Eyes".] Another lie. remember me telling you to prove this after I said only two stated it and that after they had long been apostate? One was even rolling drunk after being plied by Satan's minions. Well, there are 11 witnesses - prove 11 believed this! [Several of the "Witnesses" actually admitted to only ever seeing the "plates" with their "Spiritual Eyes" too ... oops ... ] Get to work or go to hell. [None of the "Witnesses" actually signed the affidavit confirming that they "saw" the "plates". There was one piece of paper signed for them by Oliver Cowdery ... oops ... ] A matter of convenience. If Oliver had made it up, there would be all of the witnesses demand they were not included in the first edition print. None did. In fact, none tried to get their names removed for as long as they all lived. OOOPS! [Not to mention that EIGHT out of the 11 original "Witnesses" all sided with James Strang after Joseph died, NOT Brigham Young.] Poor judgment. Most were already apostate and many knew BY wanted to move West.[They all sustained Strang as "Prophet, Seer, and Revelator" too ... including Strang's divine appointment, translation of ancient scripture, use of seer stones, and they went with Strang to his island Kingdom in the Great Lakes ... Oops lol :P] The trip was much easier and they liked swimming. How did they fare as a church? Are you trying to say Strang's church is the true church? You will need a lot more than 8 apostates to validate that nonsense. OOOOPS! Now if there are some really gullible people out there who believe your side of the debate, you are welcome to them - they would not make it in the kingdom, and would be dangerous from within. You serve God's purposes while you serve Satan.

Genesis 2:24 When you were joined to your wife, did you become two personalities in one physical body? If not, then why do you believe God is 3 in no physical body? You have a scripture that says one, and you can't get your head around it, so believe a lie. Exodus 8:10 Speaking of the people and gods they had around. Ditto for Deuteronomy 4:35, 39, 32:39, and so on. 1 Corinthians 8:6 Why do they say one Father and one Jesus? If it is the same one, no need to say one AND one. Galatians 3:20 If Father and Jesus ARE one, then this says Jesus can't be a mediator. Having a mediator requires three, all up - no less. When Jesus prayed to His Father, there were two in two places. The Father didn't father Himself, and if He could, He would not be there to listen to Himself pray, which would be madness to do so, in any case. When Jesus ascended, He said he was going to His and their (our) Father. He didn't say He was becoming that Father for a second time. When Stephen was stoned, he saw the two standing next to each other. If you lock MPD's (now called an identity disorder) in asylums and treat them by doctors, you should not be worshipping one. It's hypocrisy, but worse - it's madness. Your evil god is both impossible and insane, and more closely resembles the definition of Satan. It is this being a complete idiot that causes you to misunderstand so many scriptures.

He once tried to tell someone on here by the name of Jesus Eternal that The book of Revelation talked of the Garden of Eden being in the Missouri (which is what mormons believe), later he even said "I showed you in scripture where that was" right as he went off into one of his mormon name calling temper tantrums. He has ripped into Blacks (whom he refers to as ...] END Jem is the prolific liar. Any person can check the original post and they will find that "the book of" is not there. I merely said Revelation, and meant modern revelation, not a book in the bible. However, an inadvertent capital R sent his tiny and dysfunctional brain into a spin, and he insisted that I meant "the book of Revelations". No amount of denial by myself can change that ridiculous opinion in him, and he has spread this lie far and wide, ever since. You are just one more person he has no respect for and clearly wants to delude you. His second lie is that I am racist. No post by myself (and I mean anywhere) has shown that, but his crazy brain thinks it. There have been times I have been a realist, and I don't pander to political correctness on any issue, so he can form opinions based on my writing style, but I am no racist, and he can't see reality at the best of times. I say a Native American is a redskin, and that is racist to both he and the redskin Silver Eagle, or Squawking Crow, as others call him. I don't care what they think. If a Negro prefers to be called black, and they call us whites (among lots of other names), I see nothing wrong with redskins as a term. It is clear, concise and an accurate identifier. How comforting to know that the TRUTH is being broadcast. It is special to be able to share these truths with the mormons, and change lives forever. They did not bear his name, have any claim of support, or any other rights that a legal wife would have. Brigham Young proved this when one of his so-called "wives" wanted a divorce. The judge would not admit the case in court because she was not legally married to Brigham, though they had cohabited as husband and wife.

It was a shock to have my belief shattered so quickly… [ex-LDS Bishop and senior micro geneticist Dr. Simon Southerton] David J. Roberts, LDS Historian once wrote. "“In light of this evidence, there can be no doubt as to the possession of a vividly strong, creative imagination by Joseph Smith, the Prophet, an imagination, it could with reason be urged, which, given the suggestions that are found in the ‘common knowledge’ of accepted American antiquities of the times, supplemented by such a work as Ethan Smith’s View of the Hebrews [published in Palmyra in 1825], it would make it possible for him to create a book such as the Book of Mormon is.”

Except Ezra Smith's book wasn't written in ancient Hebraic writing styles, like The Book Of Mormon is, some not even identified until long after Joseph Smith's death. It's Impossible to copy something that hasn't been discovered yet. Also Nahom was discovered to be a real place by the Red Sea, but not until long after Joseph Smith was dead. It was right where it was described in The Book Of Mormon, and has been used to identify another place that perfectly matches the description in The Book Of Mormon, neither of which were known until quite recently. Also found recently was the City Of Lehi named in the Bible, where the local Bedouins tell the legend of a prophet who prophesied of the destruction of Jerusalem around 600 BCE. And disappeared with his family before Jerusalem was destroyed. The name of the prophet in the legend is not known, to them at least. But I suppose Joseph could just be a God level guesser with an active imagination, as many imply.

I see Silly Lying wigs has jumped in with his viewpoint, so here's mine. When Smith was first instructed by heavenly beings, he was told of the opposition that would follow, so he was careful not to incite it. The vision was shared orally to trusted people for 10 years, which by then Smith had of necessity distanced himself from opponents, an it was safe to write it. This is one of only two that were penned by him. Two more were ratified by him, because they were recorded as minutes of his speaking in meetings. The rest are know forgeries and/or anti's claiming someone heard him talk, and there are 9 of those (13 in total). The version in our canon (PoGP) is his second written one, and was a reply to a newspaper request, hence a thorough cover, which brings up my point - I toured Europe 5 years ago and I have not told the same story, yet have never lied once. I just understand my audience. While my story differs, there are no contradictions. The 4 good versions are different, but don't contradict, while the forgeries and "my grandpa's cousin heard" accounts have all the contradictions. Anti's know all this, but they sell the lie in the hope the gullible will think Smith was a liar.

@Ralph Wiggam SLW, poor Mark has to weigh up Joseph taking 10 years to write about a vision, and God taking thousands of years to tell us about the creation. Check the time lapse between Adam and Moses? So, did God have some sort of crisis he had to deal with to get Moses to write? Was Moses around in Adam's day? At least Smith was involved. This is why Jesus spoke out against hypocrisy - he knew Christians would be the biggest hypocrites of them all. I have no argument to lose; I just have points of observation based on intelligent logic. Mark does not have to pick a winner out of us; he has to learn to think properly.
