The saddest part about Piastri is that he was not expected in his contract to win this year, they had signed him for two years, expecting Shwartzman to take the title first. Just shows you how crazy things can be in F2.

He's getting a seat in 2023. I like the kid but I'm sick of everyone wining that he's somehow lost all hope of an F1 drive. He's gonna go from F2, to a works team. The last time anyone did that was Lewis Hamilton in 2007. So stop moaning.

@@LSchelvin71 Pourchaire is in the Sauber driver academy, therefore he would most likely land an alfa (sauber) seat. Likewise with Piastri to Alpine because he’s in their academy and they’re reserve for 2022. Williams would sign either a pay driver, an experienced driver, or one from their academy over Piastri

The smaller F1 teams has too little money. Ironically Alfa Romeo would probably be slower with Piastri than with Zhou due to worse finances leading to worse cars. If anything the prize money split needs to be slightly more equal. At least I think Zhou will be better than Mazepin though.
