@MANCHESTER UNITED This prediction has been made 20 times in the last 100 years, and has been wrong every time. Maybe this time you'll be right. I like soccer/football; I enjoy the Euro Cup and the World Cup every time they roll around. It's possible to enjoy and be a fan of both sports. And neither sport is better or worse than the other. It's not really a comparison that can be drawn. I mean, in baseball, the team on defense possesses the ball, the only sport where that's true. In soccer, the clock never stops, the only sport where that's true. In baseball there is no clock, the only sport where that's true. In soccer, pretending to be injured is a part of the game, and there are players who are great ONLY BECAUSE they are great at pretending to be injured (e.g Cristiano Ronaldo) the only sport where that's true. Neither sport is better than the other, and the two are totally different.

GH in micro to moderate dosages does gain much weight but injury proofs athletes by helping them recover so much faster. Not every PED makes skinny kids into Barry Bonds.

Couldn't have said it better myself, he was my favorite baseball player of all time. Great hitter, class act and never took PEDs. Always hustled and had a knack for hitting in the clutch. My favorite Jeter play was when he threw the ball to Posada to get Giambi out. That wasn't even his position, how did he have the instinct to be there in that play? I remember seeing that game on TV back in 2001 and will always remember that play.

This is why you see so many slam-dunk, no-questions-asked inductees who got "only" 99 percent of voters. That he got 396 out of 397 tells me some of those sticklers have retired or passed on in recent seasons.

They still missed many . During the 2000 WS, when the Mets Ziele hit a ball that hit the top of the left field wall, and the Mets Timo Perez, (on 2nd base), watches the ball thinking it was a HR, and gets a late start running home that would have tied the game (b-8, i think), And Jeter caught a bad throw from the left fielder and gunned out Perez while running towards the 3rd base dugout, It was Absolutley amazing, It was almost as good as the flip throw

In Jeter's final game at Yankee stadium, in the top of the ninth inning the Yankees had a 5-2 lead and it appeared that it would be just a conventional Yankee win. However, good fortune prevailed to Jeter's benefit and Baltimore tied the game 5-5 with two home runs. Jeter's walk-off hit was not a home run, but his signature single to right field. I just think that God meant this to be.

Jeter was a good hitter, a poor defender, and benefitted hugely from being drafted by the a team that surrounded him with incredible talent.
