A Perfect Murder co-starring Viggo Mortensen and Gwyneth Paltrow is also a great movie. Douglas is the only actor to have worked with my four favourite directors; Ridley Scott (Black Rain), Oliver Stone (Wall Street), David Fincher (The Game) and Steven Soderburgh (Traffic).

Oh yeah. Glad to see The Game. But two of my favorites are Romancing the Stone and The Ghost and The Darkness.

Well...Michael is my absolute favorite actor for a bit more than 30 years. He is such a brilliant actor, icon and a true legend. I agree with number 1 "The Game". This is absolutely an amazing movie but I miss "Coma" which was absolutely great. "Romancing the stone" & "Jewel of the Nile" are also really wonderful. And I agree with some other who commented here. What about "Black Rain" or "The Ghost and The Darkness"? I think these should be mentioned too even though "The War of Roses", "Disclosure", "A Perfect Murder", "The Star Chamber". But there are so many of him which really pretty cool. Like I said he is brilliant.

Totally! In addition Falling Down was one for the ages, his character the perfect anti-hero. Basic Instinct/Fatal Attraction were great roles too. War Of The Roses a nice slice of Douglas' comedic chops

I liked him best in both in The China Syndrome (1979) and Wall Street (1987; won an Academy Award for Best Actor). I also liked him so far in Traffic (2000), Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018). You've got to admit it. He's is a chip of the old the block.

Shining Through with Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas should be added to his best movies

Don't forget Street of San Francisco, but that was a T.V. series. Back to his movies Fathal Attraction, Basic Instint, Wonder years and Wall Street.

The #2 Falling Down was awesome in my junior high school era(From Cable TV in Taiwan). Its still great to watch it again now(2023). Michael Douglas is a great actor no doubt.

My favourite movies are: "Disclosure" (1994), "Shining through" (1992), "Basic instinct" (1992), "The war of the roses" (1989), "Fatal Attraction" (1987) and Wall Street (1987). I loved see M.D. in the series "Street of San Francisco" (1972-1976). The movies "Black rain" (1989) and "The perfect murder" (1998) i've also seen, but i think they were o.k.

Based on the list I’m a bit unclear if the objective is MDs top films or top films that include MD. I LOVE The Game so I’m ok with that however his performance was so brilliant in Wallstreet, and it was a timepiece classic, it must be higher.

Agreed! The movie was a prototype actioner but his role was complex & he did well in his portrayal. A favorite of mine too!
