Unfortunately so is his gambling addiction, which is probably why he left for a while, and why he's still playing. Amazing talent nonetheless.

Jagr is simply LEGEND! He is still playing for his hometown club, the highest league in the Czech republic. And Jagr is 50 years old now!!!!!

Absolute legend and pure class act. Some of the strongest puck possession and patience in the history of the sport.

Damn I remember being about 11 watching my first NHL playoff series and hearing about this jagr kid on the opposing bench against my Bruins. 18 years old at the time and somehow he's still going. Amazing.

I've been watching this guy since 1990 when I started collecting hockey cards. I knew he was good then, but never, ever would have guessed that would become one of the greatest (2?) of all time. And he's actually still playing?????

No matter what country you're from. No matter what team you cheer for. This guy just forces you to cheer for him. This... I mean THIS is hockey! Skill! Power! Determination! No wonder I just love this sport!

If he hadn't played those 3 years in Russia….2000+ points for sure!

The best talented hockeyplayer ever is/was also the one who trained the hardest, to master his skills even more. One of the best ever.

Number three is my absolute favourite, should've been in first place. But that's just my opinion.

Back in the mid to late 80's it was AL Koken, Jeff Rimmer and Craig Laughlin. 2 of same 3 still there 35+ years later. Not sure when Joe B came on and Jeff Rimmer left but that coverage crews longevity has been a treat for a lifetime caps fan who started by listening to the games on the radio. Alan May, who I watched play as their enforcer mainly, now adds even more depth of club history to the booth. Got to meet my favorite, the great Rod Langway (last to play without the helmet !!) a few years back at a game.

The most impressive ability he has is this uncanny intuition of how long he can hold on to the puck. That patience under pressure is insane.

I bet he could still play in the NHL like Gordie Howe did into his 50s. Even at 75% he's a better pure goal scorer than half the current NHL's Top 20.
