My mother and my (late) grandmother were both Hungarian by origin, so I am very familiar with the majority of those Hungarian dishes:-))

Whoo whee I did make stuffed cabbage last week using a combination of recipes from my mother and aunt and it was a lot of work; however it is fantastic just like when I was growing up.

This video brought back some memories of my maternal grandmother and my great aunt (who were sisters). They were full-blooded Hungarian, and they would prepare at least three things on that list on a regular basis. (I would tell you which foods they were, but I know I would misspell them because it's late and I'm really tired.)

I married into a Hungarian family. My father in law was born there, but left as a teen. He doesn't remember much, but loves longoosh (my way to remember how to say it). My kids like it too. Seems to be just fried dough, but good enough.

I had to become veggie, because of health reasons I love my paprikas and I will use the portabella mushroom for my paprikas and the gulyas leves ❤️❤️❤️ Kolbasz is what I grew up on. Thank you saying the translation and speaking about the food and the culture, because I am Hungarian as well and I like to learn about it. Happy paths❤️

My favorite is Paprikas Csirke, as always a common Sunday meal at my Grandmommy’s house for Dinner after church... also toltott kapsita was a regular staple on our home. Thank you for helping connect my heritage to my language... trying to learn but don’t have the money for the learning materials, so I really Love your videos❤️

Love gesztenyepure; my mom made it at Christmas. When she was alive she taught me to speak, read and write Hungarian. She is gone about 35 years and I have lost so much. No one to converse with.
