Criminally underrated in all her sketches but Cathy Anne has untapped feature length movie potential 🤣

She'll go down as one of the SNL greats and is the sort of cast member you build a team around, like in pro sports. She's an all-star.

This must've be tough to put together. The one dimensional female character, her performance as catherine deneuve, joelle lesoup, ivanka trump... i could keep going. She's a genius.

“Girl you wish you hadn’t started a conversation with at a party” is hilarious as a recurring character, but hurts when it happens in real life.😣 Love Cecily Strong and all the laughs she’s given me over the years.😊💜💖

Cecily was underrated. She's a great character actor and comedian. She has the kind of talent you don't see in comedic actors, singing, dancing etc. Cecily rates up there with the Not Ready for Prime Timr Players. She could hold her own with Gilda Ratner, Jane Curtain and Loraine Newman.

You don't watch SNL too much, besides Thompson she was the most senior member of the cast and wrote most of her own stuff

@@terryc.3390politely disagree. Strong is too aware of the audience reaction, and, unlike McKinnon and Kristen Wigg, she doesn’t have that looney-crazed look in her eyes. Also, her departure seemed slightly awkward and forced and seemed to almost stop the Xmas show in its tracks.

Yup....no doubt she is one of the few SNL performers I adore.....

More Cecily Strong please, she is brilliant, her ability to play comic characters, whether completely fictional or based on people from real life is second to none.

Loved Cecily as Catherine Deneauve and as Ivana Trump. So funny.😊

Not against Jeanine Pirro. No chance at all. But Terrazano was hilarious!

She is one of the greatest. Nails every character. Sings. And she loves dogs.

Except this countdown literally has 2 times on it. Don’t get me wrong, she’s 1 of my faves but she also broke in the brothers sketch and 1 with a dog and some others.

Cecily Strong did sketches with Eddie Murphy and managed to hold her own

I thought you would include her Erika Jayne from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spoof in the "New Wife" sketch. She played "gay famous" Candice and Larry David played her husband Vincent. Larry David was laughing so hard at the end of the sketch he could barely deliver his lines. Cecily was great in that one!

Yes, yes, and yes! She's one of my all time favorites and this list includes all my favorite performances. I think Girl at a Party and Cathy Anne are my fave original characters but Jeanine Pirro is incredible--like she radiates energy the moment she comes out and only gets higher throughout the segment. Perfect choice! I also love Kyra, Dana, unnamed p*rnstar, and all the other ones mentioned in this video. Also, shout-out to her Liza Minelli impression and Debra's Time.

I feel it appropriate after watching SNL since I was 8 to be always rooting for the ladies of SNL!!! I have always wanted to see more of the lady SNL alumni getting movie offers and other roles, they are just all so wonderful and talented!!!! Hollywood & The Big Apple writers take notice of these girls and write GOOD, intelligent scripts for them!!!

Easily one of the greatest of all time in the show's history, one of the very few cast member who can save a dull sketch all by oneself. Also she's legit hot, not just beautiful or attractive, hot AF.

I think her Goober the Clown bit was incredibly powerful and filled with personal emotion. For it being live it was charged with an amazing energy that I've not really seen on TV before.

Cecily was equally outstanding in SNL's dating show sketches like Irish Dating Show, Match'd and yes, Dating Show. Can't believe you guys missed out on those.
