Absolutely stunning of a goal, taking nothing away from Forlan he had an amazing tournament and avoided absolute beauty's I also thought the last one was a mishit but I don't take away from the quality of it, just that screamer from Bronckhorst is another level from anyone else in the tournament.

Sneijder was better he was a CAM who you could find on the whole field at the tournament. Also topscorer with Forlan(1 penalty) and both a assist as well, things you expect from a Attacker like Forlan noting else. But for a CAM you expect at first good fieldplay, scoring goals is especially for the Attackers, so only good midfielders score as much. He also Played Defense, Midfield, and Attack in those games. He also deserved the Ballon d'or in 2010 the only thing he didn't win was the Worldcup. Also Forlan played well. But Sneijder deserved it more. Also Sneijder had 4MOTM awards, including Uruguay in the semi's. Forlan had 3.

Look better, v Persie and v d Vaart where out of shape, or defense could have been better, the 3 player's that showed class every match Where, Sneijder, de Jong, and Robben. Kuyt hard worker. Stekelenburg did well, and Huntelaar didn't got a real chance. And if we had such a worldclassteam? Why could you see Sneijder very often in the defense? Sneijder carried the team as well. He did it as a real conductor. He was so good that the team was build around him. Because of him Holland looked worldclass. Same went for Inter, the same guy winning the CL and later reaching the WC final Now Uruguay, how was Uruguay robbed, please explain? And please do think about that moment of Suarez against Ghana, when you gonna typ it, very hypocritical of yours to say this... So Ghana true against Holland. Forlan stuck on 3goals and 1 assists if you wanna play it like that.(i will look the hl back of Ned-Uru) But the team of Uruguay: Suarez,Cavani,Forlan, Godin, Lugano, Muslera all played worldclass, then Lodeiro was a great sub and a few other names did well, both Holland and Uruguay where the same compared in Level of players. Without Suarez Uruguay wouldn't even be 1st in the poule, so instead of South Korea, they would have played there last 16 against Argentina. That won from Mexico 3-1. And without Suarez Uruguay wouldn't be in the Semi or final for 3rd/4th. So Forlan wouldn't have scored anymore so he would be like i said stuck on 3g and 1a. So actually Suarez was more important. Sneijder has been more decisive in the attack as in the defense. His game against Japan 1-0 putting Holland on 6pts, against Slowakia 1st goal assist, 2nd he scores him self. Brazil both goals from Wesley. Then against Uruguay 1-1 he makes the 2-1. Then against Spain he gives one of the most important passes. But Casillas stops the ball. Sneijder was one of the best Dutchman in the final. Explain me why Forlan was better in your eye's? Same way i did, wit research and not old memories wandering in your head

The free kick that led into Suarez' handball was misplaced. Before Van Bronckhorst scored, Van Bommel commits a foul and should have been sent off, and Sneijder's goal was offside

12 Years ago today since Siphiwe Tshabalala scored that stunning goal and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Mahesh Nimmagadda I like when tradicionally great teams play the final, semi-final, etc. But in 2010 Italy, Argentina and Brazil was bad. It was the only world cup when neighter Brazil, Germany, Argentina or Italy played the final. Spain scored only 8 goals. I don't like 2014 as well, Italy, Brazil, England were bad, even Argentina and Germany wasn't special. In 2006 France played the final (I hate them), beating Brazil. But in 2002 there was a good Brazilian team with a legendary performance of Ronaldo, Germany was a good surprise, and France didn't score any goal LOL. But even this wasn't such a good World Cup, and Brazil had only 4-5 really great players. I thought that earlier World Cups were legendary, but none of them was really good since I watch them live.

Forlan deserves the number one spot. The technique and difficulty of a shot like that is insane, the keeper doesn't even move. Van Bronckhorst scored a great goal too.

2010 was my first world cup and probably the best . I highly doubt upcoming world cups can bring out that kind of excitement

Diego Forlan retired today... what a legend he is... his 2010 performance was insane... one of the best strikers of our generation by far.
