I loved on Home Improvement the joke of the audience never entirely seeing Wilson’s face and how they found ways around this in various scenarios around the show 😊

Was going to say that, another good running gag on there was every time he went into the basement Tim would always bang his head on that pipe.

The invisible characters were always my favorite. Mrs. Wolowitz from The Big Bang Theory, Stanley Walker in Will & Grace, Al's mom from Home Improvement etc.

I liked that Maris never being seen on camera on “Frasier” had ties back to nobody ever seeing Vera on “Cheers”.

How ridiculous that Arrested Development had classic running gags and not ONE is mentioned. -The Chicken Dances -Tobia's Gay References -NO TOUCHING! -Literal Doctor -Oscar's obvious hints about being Buster's father

I liked that in Sister Sisters a lot of characters said “Go Home Roger” when he was being annoying and they wanted him to leave

What about Robin Sparkles? And why does everyone skate over the fact that two of the best running gags came from the same episode of How I Met Your Mother?

There was an episode of Fresh Prince where Uncle Phil was having a nightmare, in it Hillary ended up marrying Jazz, and at the end he goes to toss him, but it's Uncle Phil who ends up getting tossed.

Jazz always wore the same shirt because they reused the same footage every time he was thrown out.

Robert’s chin touching in Everybody Loves Raymond was a surprise. Mind you the show had so many such as: - Frank’s “Holy Crap” - Marie’s “I don’t like that…” - Debra calling Ray “idiot” - Robert’s “Is this about me?”

The slap bet was pretty funny but you feel a bit sorry for Barney and Sheldon’s knocking is something I do sometimes just when I feel like it

Love on Chuck when they say “Chuck, stay in the car”.

I like running gags on the monkees. Like when someone or something disappeared and they would say "they're gone!" and when someone did something he shouldn't do they'd say "don't do that"

0:22: I like this one, but I think, Julius knowing the actual price, even exact change, of everything is a way funnier running gag. That and Mr. Omar’s “Tragic! TRAGIC!”

Not sure if it's a gag per say. However... Supernatural. When they would play "Carry On My Wayward Son" in the intro. 😭 😭

Well, over the recap "the road so far..." at the end of the seasons. IIRC, this was meant to be a one-off but went over so well they decided to continue it.

Phoebe's quirkiness and sad childhood were a running gag on Friends.

Letterkenny has a few. "To be fair..." comes to mind as fairly benign one. There's also a running joke about ostriches, but it's not PC.

The Niles wife being someone you never see was a spinoff of Norm's wife, Vera, also never being seen on Cheers, the show Frasier was spunoff from.

Sometimes I wonder why he didn't get more work after Home Improvement, I mean his face was visible in movie and TV show appearances before HI, including one of my favorite comediep, Three Men and a Baby. He was one of the drug dealers who wanted to put Mary in the trunk of the car.

What about Jamie holding back his fist bump to Braxton on the Jamie Fox Show? He also made the sound of a car slamming on the brakes.

Honestly, I don't know if catch phrases should be considered the same as running gags. Anyways, I feel like you missed some of my favorites: Fomzie's fist causing something to happen , usually but not always the jukebox to turn on. Jack benny being cheap Fred Sanford going through eyeglasses to make a call Bob's burgers special of the day.
