Don't feel bad if you think some of these song are still pretty hard! The label 'easy' covers a wide range of difficulties because it's a very subjective word! It al depends on for how long, and how intensely you've been playing. This a list for beginner, and some maybe even intermediate, level. If you play guitar for the first time, you can try Rumble and Intro, those are really easy. The other songs will hopefully help you to get the next level of playing as soon as possible! Never feel bad about what you can not play, feel good about what you can.

Paul Davids when editing your video, compress your voiceover and match the gain to the rest of the audio please. Use RMS metering to gain match please. I can barely hear your voice compared to the guitar. (I usually edit my videos to put the voiceover around 2-3 dB louder RMS than the rest)

I clicked this video to see if all the cliche beginner songs were present. I was pleasantly surprised to see you had chosen some songs on the easier side, but aren't played to death by all beginners. Definite subscribe from me, and I have been playing for decades.

What I really like about this video is that most of these are typically songs that you don't see in every other video with "easy" guitar songs. Has a good genre variety, not too simple, and learning those songs would actually impress people! Great video.

You nailed the feeling of Romanza, one of my go to pieces. So simple and yet the base line and lead seem to confuse so many. It obvious you have been trained in some classical guitar filling your finger patterns. It's awesome to see your standard blues and rock as well. Keep up the good work!

Cissy Strut... what a song! Pure groove at the intersection of blues/rock and funk. So minimal and so perfect! I’m loving it.
Thanks Paul, A great video. Sometimes the fun is lost because the musical value of an exercise is not apparent. The songs you chose give a nice spread of techniques and tempos. Wow! Subscribed to you, seen now few of your vids, but this felt like real important. I've realised that the more I learn about playing and the better I become, the stuff I always thought was easy, actually has alot more depth where as the "Hard" songs actually aren't as hard once you get the hang of it. Thank so much Paul for this amazing video. I'm a "free time" guitar player and It's been a long time I don't play guitar daily. And this video is very usefull to find again the will to enjoy playing a famous song.

Hey Paul, Great video. I'm wondering if maybe in the future you can do a series on how to switch over to lead guitar from Rythm. I've been playing rythm for years, and most beginner lead guitar lessons feel like they are for the ultra beginner, but im in a unique spot because I don't really know any scales or how to play lead, but I know basically every note on the fretboard. thanks

I realise I’m ten months late but try jumping onto google and memorising a minor pentatonic pattern. They’re a safe scale to jam over any song so long as you know the relative minor of the key of whatever song you’re soloing over (if it’s a major, if the key is already minor just play that pentatonic) It’s a really basic 1st step into lead playing and a safe one too but not a bad place to start
Thank you so much for teaching Cissy Strut. Never even dawned on me to learn how to play it, but so glad I can now.
Perfect! Not the traditional "beginner" selection of music, I've played for 3 years and never learnt most of these! Loopz is ace for improvising aswell thanks 👌
Hi Paul! Love your videos! Just a heads up, the "Romanza" tab has a feel errors on the last part - just the tab, not the way you play! =P Love from Brazil! :)
Great video Paul. Is it my mistake though or is there an error in the Romanza tab toward the end? Also, do you have a link to the notation that you're using? That would be swell!
Great video, thanks Paul. You already had me, when you played the first chords of "Rumble"

Cissy strut was one of those songs I learned early on that sounds way better now after years of guitar playing and practice. Still, it would be nice to see at least a credit to Trent Reznor... given that his acoustic version is actually not that different from what Cash played. Perhaps original artists aren't always important to point out, but for some reason I feel that this song should be an exception. (Perhaps because of the amity between Cash and Reznor.)

Keep it up! Don't be discouraged! I'd say these songs are only relatively easy for players who have already developed decent dexterity. When you've been playing guitar for many years you tend to forget just how hard it is at the beginning when you have a hard time just switching chord shapes correctly and strumming in time. Just remember that when you're a beginner almost everything seems hard, and for awesome and experienced players almost everything seems easy. It's all relative, so don't worry too much about what other people consider to be easy or hard. Just keep trying to find some stuff that you think is slightly challenging for your skill level, practice, and have fun. =]
