Top 10 fictional movie cars of all time

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There have been many iconic movie cars over the years, from the time-travelling DeLorean to 007's Aston. But in truth those are little more than real-world cars with a few gadgets added on. Here's a list of 10 entirely fictional movie cars, that were designed from scratch for the film in which they star.

Unless of course they have 500 gallon fuel tanks which would only give them 100 miles. A full tank on a camaro will get you 500 miles. 500 gallons is 66 cubic feet. That's a fuel tank that is 6 feet x 6 feet x 2 feet. approx. Now to go 200 miles they'd need 2 of those, to go as far as the camaro they'd need 5. So they'd need a fuel tank 6 ft x 6 ft x 10 feet. For us growing up behind Iron Curtain was really even a WV Passat like Chiron for people these days. It never went into production but was shown in the second transformers movie at the very being during the chase scene in China. Side note they also had two Hummer H3Ts as well.

    100% Agree! On the high hills above Brno (Czechoslovakia) before 1989 (brutal communistic rule and censorship of everything and jamming of Radio Free Europe (RFE) and Voice of America (VoA)) we were very lucky to catch Austrian TV ÖRF from 120km distant Vienna (in fact commies were readily building a TV tower near borders to Austria to jamm it with soviet tv channel). For us growing up behind Iron Curtain was really even a WV Passat like Chiron for people these days. The KITT was good at predicting the future - had self driving and communication features and except the virtual indestructibility, jump stunts and highly advanced AI, it is a dream come true car.

    @@Celestias Actually, with all due respect to yourself, Carspotter is correct and your comment agrees with theirs. Read it very carefully. Your first post states that the movie car was never sold, Carspotter then state that a limited edition was sold. That movie car would be that limited edition and as a one-off thing, possibly the ultimate limited edition. Carspotter never states or implies that any more were manufactured or that it was road legal, only that the DB10 was "sold as a limited edition." So what they say is correct. You agree with this, as you then reply stating that only one was sold and it was the movie car. You are contradicting your earlier comment and calling yourself out as wrong in your first post. BTW, a private sale is still a 'real life' sale. :-)

  • @Celestias

    @Celestias

    5 жыл бұрын

    @@lwaves "Sold as a limited edition", by edition, that implies a limited run. Not one car. They made a car for the movie, and sold it to a collector, who is not even allowed to use it on the road because it's not road legal. It was sold as a collector's piece, not as a road-going car.

    Great selection, and pretty much agree with the choices. And seriously, how can anyone NOT pick the tumbler as #1. The only other custom prop car as tough as it ( and one I am upset didn't make your list ) Is the Landmaster from the old Damnation alley movie. Like the Tumbler, it shrugged off brutal treatment ( like jumps off embankments into mid air ) without damage. So tough it shocked the film crew. And it's just the coolest, most practical looking, film mil APC I can think of.
