Infinitify After Earth was good movie

I am really surprised that the Champ isn't on the list because the bond they had as father and son is so heart wrenching and beautiful. It shows no matter what happens to them just strong their love is

My favorite father and son movie would be... real steel!

My picks are Finding Nemo, The Lion King, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Back to the Future, and Star Wars Return of the Jedi (I definitely see that qualifying).

Boyz n the hood, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Lawrence Fishburne, Fishburne cared for his son and stayed with him, unlike most fathers in the hood. He gave Gooding Jr. important life lessons and talked him out of dangerous things.

A very good list but I think Bill Nighy and Domhall Gleeson deserve a mention for About Time. Their chemistry was incredible and they made for the best on screen father/son pairing we've seen it the last couple years.

Excellent list WM. The pursuit of happiness or Kramer vs Kramer were my guessings for the top spot. Big Fish would have been a nice choice too.

Real Steel popped into my head as the countdown progressed, but you know what I was really hoping would be on this list? "Over The Top." It was probably the first movie I thought of when watching this list.

I was kinda hoping to see Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close on this list. Even though the father isn't actually alive during the film, it's still a very heartwarming father-son relationship.

A really beautiful list and I agree with most of it (I've seen all the films mentioned, inclused the honorable ones, and loved most of them). But for me there are a couple of unforgiving missings: Return of the Jedi and especially Mrs. Doubtfire (R.I.P. Robin).

I'm a little surprised that neither October Sky nor Return of the Jedi made it.

UK Classic Sitcom Steptoe And Son was made into two movies. The greatest Father / Son story ever made.

I feel like Return of the Jedi should instead because we don’t know that Vader is Luke’s father until the end, and in Return of the Jedi, it shows the father-son relationship between Luke and Vader as they team up against Palpatine

Return Of The Jedi fits better because in that movie luke and vader actually cooperate like father and son

I just think that Finding Nemo should be higher on the list. There were only father and sons in that theater when I went to see it, with my father, and I know I saw at least ten hugs on the way out. Although it was animated, this movie had an impact.

What about "A Better Life"??? Damn, I know it's a small independent movie a lot of people haven't seen but wow...the movie was so moving and heartfelt. The father (Demian Bichir) was even nominated for an Oscar for his performance!

"The Champ" 1931 and 1979, as well as "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" in 1963 should have been on the list, or at least an honorable mention.

Bambi 2 is very underrated,i love the father and son relationship in the movie

Called No.1 before watching. Easily one of my favourite movies of all time.

I know Inception wasn’t a Father son movie, but it had one father son scene that just doesn’t fail to make me cry.

Adam Sandler's Bid Daddy? One of Sandler's best movies that accumulates a bunch of emotions towards the end. Its a comedy, but definitelly worth considering on this list.

I would say Rumple and BaelFire, but they're in a show. Still, they make a fantastic bond.

The Judge (2014) is pretty good too, I'm watching it right now.

how about: the champ, the place beyond the pines, or Godfather part 2?

Searching for Bobby Fischer should have gotten a mention, its a really nice heartwarming movie

Perfect choice for Number 1 and what I expected. However, “Field of Dreams” should have been top 2 with easily the single most tear jerking father-son moment in cinema history with the “Hey Dad, you wanna have a catch” scene. Yet it didn’t make the list even in honorable mention?

I think Daddy's Little girls was really an exceptional move . Big up to the producers 💯👌

Surprised Sleepless in Seattle wasn't even an honorable mention. The story completely surrounds what the boy does for his father!

The Judge with Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall is easily one of the greatest father-son movies ever.

My son is 25 now and he didn’t meet his biological mother until 2 years ago. He didn’t like her. That’s besides the point, thank you for making a Father/Son list. Us Fathers are so important to all children. That should be expressed the same as a Mother’s importance.

I haven't way he'd yet, but Life is Beautiful should be here.. phenomenal movie.

I never had my father in my life. I have no idea what's it like. I'm feeling jealous here. I'm gonna watch a lot of these movies to get a hint or feel for what's it like

Hari Why. Family Law is unfortunate and does not favor fathers. If anyone reads this. No matter what your age is. It is not your fault. Mothers unfortunately do not see the damage they do. Ask questions. Start by asking your guardian the truth. Ask several people older than you on what happened. At the very least- Do it for you. Not for anyone else. This will ensure you are successful in life. When and if you find him. You don't have to say a word.... Just by you being there. It will change everything about you. Document your journey. It may inspire and possibly become something as memorable as the movies on this list. Godspeed.

I liked the movie Martian Child. It struck a note. It is one of the best feel good movies in my opinion.

Big Fish was a definite oversight. Glad The Road and Life is Beautiful made the cut, though.
