For the ones saying Terraria is the first or Minecraft is the first, Terraria was officialy realsed earlier than Minecraft, and Minecraft was unofficially realsed earier than Terraria. You guys know that Minecraft was not officially out while the alpha version, and that time Terraria was never born, but then the 2D Minecraft "Terraria" was realeased by beta while Minecraft was alpha.

A decade ago glad to see what the lantern would've been like if it was in the game. The difference between the two makes them almost alien from one another. First watched this when I was 13 in 2013, now I'm 23 and always left me wonder if there would've been a chance that version of the lantern could've been chosen instead of the one we got.

If I could add any feature to Minecraft, it would be a prompt replacing the prompt every time you die, that reads "Are you sure you want to be dead?" If the player clicks "yes" then they simply respawn. If the player clicks "no" they can become a poultergeist and haunt other players. Good mod idea, right?

poopermcpoopertin The purpose of a lantern was to be an infinite light source. Torches were going to burn out and have to be re-lit with a flint and steel, but the developers didn't add that in when they were originally planning to, so lanterns would have been useless, and in a sense, counterproductive because it just would've taken more time to add in and more resources to actually make. This is the only place I've ever heard anything about how lanterns lit up places when held, so I'm not so sure that was actually going to be the case. Lanterns would have been completely unnecessary, so that's probably why they weren't added.

I know I'm late, but I'm going back through old videos and seeing how things change throughout time. Unfortunately the community has also shifted into a bad light after all those years. Back then, the only thing that mattered was to build and survive. Today with the vast variation of game modes and interests, the community has split into small groups, meanwhile the majority of the fan base is kids under the age of 14, that unfortunately give the game such a bad face. I have lost interest in the game long time ago and only come back to it periodically due to being part of an annual charity event. I doubt that minecraft will go back to its glory days, although it will take a long long time for it to completely die.

I remember among with the gears that never came there were some strange NPCs aswell that didnt look like they belonged in minecraft. I remember one of them was called Beast Boy and another one Rana.

we all know he's a creepypasta, and will never be added. but it would be cool if he was an easter egg in a certain hallowe'en update. like if he was in next years hallowe'en update, and you could turn him off with some specific settings. not something like; "REMOVE HEROBRINE" settings, i mean more like you had to do some specific things before you could remove him :)

Herobrine really existed .He was added in early beta and removed i beta 1.7.3. He was the rarest mob in minecraft and he was veeeeeeeery hard to find.He atacked you normly and hit really hard.He had the same halth as player

***** 1 know there wasn't mob called herobrine but there was mob called monster and wich looks like a human and rary sometimes he spawned without comends( you can spawn him with comends) and even rareylier he had white eyes because of texture bug that wasn't herobrine but thats how herobrine legend started

Yea, like the sky dimension would be full of ore blocks and no mobs would spawn and it would always be daytime, and to way to get in it woulde be like theres a chance to get to the sky dimension when you sleep :D

They should've keep gears and added redstone. That way builds with redstone would be more compact as you would be able to send power from a vertical surface, not to mention the possibilities from the vertical surface output mentioned earlier

Well, actually lantern made it into the game now update is needed, BTW I love your video a lot
