Forget Clones Wars, it’s beyond dumb how the Jedi council accepted the clone army in Attack Of The Clones. Let’s see, a secret army entirely cloned AND trained by Jango Fett, the right hand man of Count Dooku, just appears out of nowhere to help us? What could possibly go wrong?

1. I'll give credit for Palpatine. He knew Jar Jar and Anakin were kinda idiots and he took full advantage of this when he manipulated them.

They hid Luke on tatooine because they knew it would be the last place Vader would look, Vader would never want to go back to Tatooine because of all the bad memories and well, Sand.

Ok... 7, Vader didn't know his kids survived. And, even if he had, his home planet is the last place he would think to look because it would seem like a bad place to hide Luke. 6 should easily be number 1. Especially since it is the reason for several stupid decisions.

Also 1 wasn’t jarjar’s idea they had to council the clone army that was being created and the Jedi couldn’t assume the ownership so they turned to someone they kind of trusted even if not completely (and I’m pretty sure one of the politiants they trusted the most until Anakin revealed everything)

He actually did. It just doesn't show in the movies. It's revealed in the novelization of Revenge of the Sith. And Mace Windu, as well as Yoda, believe it. Which is why they decide to keep a closer eye on Palpatine and the Senate as a whole. Mace Windu and Yoda states numerous times how they've detected the dark side's presence with Palpatine. However, they don't suspect Palpatine himself to be Darth Sidious. They believe someone close to him, perhaps among his advisers, to be the sith lord they've been looking for. They fear that Palpatine has fallen under the sith lord's influence. This is one of the reasons why they appointed Anakin to spy on Palpatine and his dealings.

I think the reasons Palpatine ordered Kylo to kill Rey were either he wanted to see which of them were stronger and more worthy of possessing or he did it cause he thought that their battles would push Rey to give in to the dark side.

Watto to didn’t accept Republic credits. This let Qui Gon gamble with Anakin and eventually he became a Jedi. Palpatine used Anakin to destroy the Jedi and form the Empire. All of that because Watto didn’t take credits. Definitely number 1.

Darth Vader allowing Han, Luke, and Chewbacca to escape with Princess Leia and the Death Star plans in order to track them to the rebel base.

Mace actually didn't try to arrest him, he tried to kill him. Anakin interfered and tried to make Mace arrest him instead.

Personally I think he should have brought Anakin with him.

Palpatine knew Kylo couldn't defeat Rey and he wanted Rey in a situation where she was forced to kill him, therefore dragging her down the path to the Dark Side. At least that's what I'm telling myself so I don't have to think Papa Palpatine is an idiot.

The Reason they had Luke go to Tatooine was because they knew that Vader would never go there because he doesn't want to have any association with Anakin trying to keep the memories of his past life buried deep within.

For the second screen, Palp doesn’t care about who his spirit takes... he only cares about power. If kylo was stronger then he takes Kylo if rey is stronger he takes her. Just like he threw away Vader for luke

On the "high ground" one, I think the worst decision is Obi Wan not double tapping Anakin after he was all stumpy

@@bernardomunozgarrido6671 Actually, the novelization explains that part of the reason he left Anakin was that he did indeed know the Emperor was approaching and knew he had to get out of there ASAP. He could've still done it quickly, but with backup coming and Anakin all but dead, he didn't think it was something he needed to do.

I think for the "kill Rey" part, he knew that she would defeat Kylo, but didn't expect her to let Kylo live.

Why do so many people think Obi-wan won cause of the high ground. He said "I have the high ground." playing on Anakin's pride and overconfidence, and anticipated the attack.

1. Not having the high ground

I like how palpatine gets his face turned into barbecue by Windu because WIndu deflects his lightning in Episode 3 but then attempts to kill Rey with the same strategy. Guess he never learns. It's like barbecue. If you cook steak for a while it becomes BBQ meat. If you roast it for more it turns into ash. Palpatine turned into ash.

It only appears that way. Palpatine's form after the fight with Mace Wundu is the same as it always was. The reason for the difference in appearance is the same as why the Jedi and even the Jedi masters could not sense him; he was using an ancient Sith force power known as The Mask. This power puts on a false appearance and "masks" your force presence. The battle with Windu merely forcefully cancelled the effect and Palpatine saw it as something he could use to obtain sympathy. Palpatine looks that way because prolonged use of the Dark Side of the Force, while granting great power, damages the body and weakens it. The only reason he can even move about is because he relies on his mastery of the Dark Side to act as a combination of stimulants, steroids, and mild cellular regeneration. After all, Darth Sideous did learn all he could from his master, Darth Plaguous, about using the force to control life... before killing him.

In regards to Number 7, Yoda and Obi-Wan didn't really have much of a choice since their efforts to cover up the birth were not guaranteed. If it got out Padme had given birth before she died, Vader would've scoured the galaxy for the child that was left behind. Tatooine was the last planet Vader would've thought to look for Luke if he had found out he had a son. It came up in one of the Vader comics. To quote Qui-Gon Jinn, "The core of Anakin that resides within Vader grasps at Tatooine. It is the source of nearly everything that causes him pain. Vader will never set foot on Tatooine, if only out of fear of reawakening Anakin". Not sure on the source of the quote, however.

Let’s go back one further....Qui-gon and Obi-won saving Jar Jar from getting run over in Episode 1. That’s my top pick for the worst decision made by a Star Wars character.

Plus, while they didn't initially know about them, they were lucky that Vader never ordered any of his Inquisitors to check out his home planet, either

Anakin would never go back to Tatooine. Great hiding place.

Dumbest decision: make Luke a secret but let him keep his surname Skywalker instead of changing it to Lars, so anyone with two eyes who sees a jedi called Skywalker can relate him with Dart Vader

No information leaking can make situation worse for them. But some hope and cheering up would lift moral up! Of course there was mutiny, and most of resistance died. Extremely poor decision. Imo, Anakin killing Mace was one of the stupidest things ever. And Mace not just offering to make Anakin a Jedi Master at that moment to get him to sit still was also dumb.

In defense of Jar Jar's decision to grant emergency powers, not even the Jedi Council could see through Palpatine's guise, and Jar Jar did it to save the Jedi and Padme on Geonosis (a detail which the Watchmojo narrator conveniently left out). It was a short term gain that came back to bite them in the long run. Either that or, y'know, he's a Sith Lord or whatever.

Sequel trilogy is full of wrong decisions.

In regard to Palpatine wanting Kylo to kill Rey, the theory is that killing Rey would have pushed Kylo over the edge and send him on one of his tantrums. Kylo would then have stormed back to Exegol and killed Palpatine in anger. This would have allowed Palpatine's spirit to take over Kylo's body. This accomplishes two things: The first is that Palpatine gets a young, healthy body to live in. The second is that he gets revenge on Anakin by forcing his grandson to become the very thing Anakin gave his life to destroy.

Biggest mistake of the Jedi was refusing to allow relationships and love to happen in their order. That much repressed feeling was just asking for trouble in so many ways. #1. Any Jedi that develops feelings for another and acts on them to start a relationship is doomed to be kicked out of the order through no fault of their own #2. Higher chances of any given Jedi turning to the dark side if for any reason they encounter a situation that creates high emotion for them. E.G. the death of a loved one, witnessing a brutal act etc. Point is if they would have made that one change they would have never been destroyed by the Sith.

That whole scenario was so damn cringy. If people are dying and starting to panick, and you actually have a plan, you don't keep it to yourself. The mutiny was a result of her failure as a commander.

Luke should have kept his lightsaber in his hands in that final scene in Return of the Jedi. Just because you will never turn to the dark side does not mean you renounce your right to self defense. Almost resulted in him being 'well done.' Lol.

In Rise of Skywalker, Palpatine wanted to originally take over kylo ren's body after Kylo killed rey and then would try to betray him. Once Kylo turned good, his plan changed and he wanted to take over Rey. So he lied to Rey telling her that was his plan all along.

Tatooine is an obvious choice since Anakin/Vader hates it for a multitude of reasons. All of his worst memories are there, most notably his slavery under Watto and the death of his mother. It was literally the one place he would have never wanted to go back to.

You really didn’t include “palpatine doesn’t stop shooting lightning when it gets deflected back at him”? It literally happens at the end of every trilogy

Because it’s like an electric current, even if you cut it open or it comes back at him, the electric current won’t stop. He only controls how much power is in the current. Plus if you bring up the sorter lighting shots, it’s bc they are weak currents. That’s why dude.

I don't see how Mace Windu arresting Palpatine was a dumb decision. What was dumb was Anakin telling Palpatine he was gonna turn him in to his face, instead of just playing along and turning him in later.

The biggest has to be Qui Gon Jinn training Anakin after being warned by the Jedi Council.

There's no way Vader would've wanted to go back to Tatooine. That was the perfect place for Luke to grow up and Obi Wan to stay in exile. It's simple: The planet was covered in sand

Literally every decision made by Kylo, Hux, and holdo in the sequels would make the top 10 of this list if they were being honest on this list. They made all three of those characters so insanely stupid with everything they do

To be fair, Mace Windu's mistake wasn't really attempting to arrest Palpatine. He actually had him beat. His real mistake was not expecting the possibility of a betrayal by Anakin.

I personally think that adding that "Nooooo!" to Palpatine's death scene was a dumb idea!

Meh one could argue that Sidious' plans pretty much consist of playing all sides simultaneously......One could also argue that all of his plans were very stupid until a bunch of sequels, prequels, books, video games, comic books, etc, come up afterward and fixes everything and fans are like "Oh, so it was genius all along?"

I honestly think that the real number 1 should have been none of the jedi believing Fives (or taking him seriously) about the inhibitor chip. I feel like they definitely needed the clones to help fight off the droids, so the immediate power to the chancellor wouldn't have been bad at all if they would have just trusted Fives and had all the clones chips removed.

Obi-Wan didn't want the high ground. He is exceptionally skilled while he has the low ground, both of his most notable kills, Maul and Grevious were achieved while they had the high ground. Obi-wan manipulated Anakin into taking the hi9gh ground so Obi-Wan could have the low ground.
